There are many coffeeshops in Midtown and East Sac. Ill be honest and tell you that its not primarily coffee that I go to a coffeehouse for, although Tupelos does have some mighty fine coffee. Its the ambience, the experience of the place. Tupelos is quintessentilly East Sac, and I love it. I have always felt at home there, always had warm, pleasent service, and never been disappointed with their coffee. Its just a perfect storm of a great location, sylish, comfortable furnishings, subdued music and excellent company! I highly recommend Tupelos to anyone looking for a cool place to hang out, but also doesnt take itself too seriously...

Great coffee, worst Internet access possible. I am here right now, writing this from my iPhone because the Internet is not working here, again. I love the atmosphere and the study spaces so I keep coming back, but I've decided enough is enough in terms of getting any school work done online- because I CAN'T. Walking over to starbucks now, as much as I hate chain coffee shops, but I need the Internet. This is the 21st century afterall...

Local goodness and college crowds. Pros: ++Great espresso drinks beverages +Tasty muffins +Friendly baristas +Some good unusual creations +Electricity outlets everywhere Cons: - Despite being expensive, drip coffee can be not so fresh sometimes, unlike Temple. UPDATE: I was surprised today when I visited that theyve changed the coffee beans they use for their house coffee. Im much happier with the new one. Its finally up to the standard.

This place is my favorite place to come and get an ice coffee or a mochachino. Youll pay more than your usual chain coffee shop but its worth it. The atmosphere is great and its a great place to chill. If I were to have any complaint it would be that the music they play can be a bit too loud and it could be a challenge to have a conversation. Of course most who hang out here have there headphones on or are buried in their laptops, shame.

First off, Ill start by saying Ive been going here since I transferred to csus (2 years) . Ive found the environment to be great for studying and informal meetings. Speed is not their key unless it is a simple order. Their prices are justified and they only use a minimum of staff. Often used by students, book clubs, and various remote/freelance workers. I wouldnt change a thing.

The only reason I graded to 4 stars. Is that I ordered my mocha without whipped cream. And my mocha was served with whipped cream. Other than that, coffee and pastry is good. The staff is friendly and cheerful Roomy indoor area with power strips to plug-in your devices. My wi-fi speed test results was 48.5 mbps down / 6.36 mbps up on a Sunday afternoon with about 8 users.

The baristas are fun, friendly, always make the drinks pretty and tasty, and they have fine taste in music. Fine coffee, quality ingredients. A good place to meet with friends or to get some work done: free wifie and plenty of outlets all along the walls. The skylights create a sense of open space and there is original art work on the walls. Great place to hang out!

I love the atmosphere and the coffee at Tupelo but finding a parking spot anywhere close is almost impossible! Im sure theres some time of day where parking is a little easier but its never been a time that Ive visited. However when my best friend comes up to visit from Bakersfield she always wants to go to Tupelo.

When I asked for a dark roast they said they had it and proceeded to serve medium roast. They lied but just worth noting that they do not serve dark roast here. Apparently this is a place to go for specialty drinks but not a place for a plain cuppa Joe. My partner really enjoyed the Bowl of Soul.

Excellent coffee and a pleasantly dark interior. Offering up some amazing coffee and teas by skilled baristas. Im an 80s kid and I love playing the retro games on that huge bulky TV in the back. Always nice to sit in the front window to watch the world go by. Excellent spot and excellent coffee!

3.5 stars - Coffee is good but on the pricey end. I love the work space available and the music they play. Theres a lot of natural light that comes in and the staff are very courteous. I wish they had better Thai and Vietnamese coffee, but the Bowl of Soul and Guatemala blend is really yummy.

Has an amazing atmosphere. The employees are so sweet and theres a good variety of drinks to choose from. Patio for outdoor sitting and very large indoor seating thats spaces out so you can have some privacy. Would definitely recommend checking it out.

I tried the iced Americano and a hot pour over. They didnt ask what kind of coffee we wanted for the pour over. Also tried the bear claw and carrot cake muffin. Overall, great taste in drinks and food. Very cool relaxed atmosphere, great to Study.

Its definitely a great space to come and hangout, read, or study for a while. As a place for a "quick" coffee, you may be better served elsewhere as it can take a while for a drink. There is plenty of seating, and thankfully plenty of outlets.

Great coffee baristas, very comfortable space to relax or work. Needs bike parking, I dont like having to hoist my bike over the chair rail and I am afraid of blocking the sidewalk if a wheelchair using patron needed to get past.

Wow. Amazing mocha. I dont normally like mochas but this is a dessert in a cup. So good! We drank ours in like two seconds m, its hard to hold back. Ive been told the Bowl of Soul is good too. Trying that next time!

My all time favorite cafe to study in while I was attending CSUS. The coffee here is so good! The atmosphere very relaxing. Grab one here and walk the beautiful East Sac neighborhood on a lazy Sunday morning! :)

I love this cafe because of the good prices, wifi, and service. The number of outlets is great and the seating accommodates plenty of people. You can literally spend hours there without being bothered.

Tasty coffee and pastries. Good wifi, not too loud, good mix of students working and regular people reading, and tends to be cold so bring a light jacket if youre settling in for a while.

Good coffee, nice atmosphere, and the baristas are really nice. Plenty of seating space with plenty of outlets. Id go there to read more often if it werent such a long walk from my home.

Great coffee amid a laid back vibe. Parking is tough but dont give up! The fresh roast coffee, fresh staff, and even fresher tunes are worth the trouble! My fave: the Vietnamese. Yum!

Really nice place to study. There is great coffee, open space, and some outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Kind of off the beaten path so it never feels extremely crowded.

I like this place a lot but its so popular that its hit or miss on getting a seat. Last time I was there, the free wi-fi came with a Comcast copyright infringement warning

Naked lounge coffee without going to down town. Funny tidbit: I took a picture of a Mocha and a Darjeeling Tea from this place, The tea has about twice as many views.

Good coffee, but somewhat dominated by the free wifi college crowd, so it can be hard to find a table with groups moving in for extended periods of time with laptops.
