I got my first tattoo here about 10 years ago. I was looking to get another and had read good reviews about the shop. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Not saying that it wasnt clean the first time, but it has definitely gone through a makeover since the last time I was there. I didnt have an appointment, and thankfully Layne had the time to take me in right away. He proceeded to draw up my design (Draw, not trace or printed from the computer) and had me in the chair working in no time at all. Ive been to 3 different shops over the years, and have 6 other tattoos, and I can honestly say that this new one is definitely one of my favorites. My design was all letters done in a western/sailor font style with some shading in the center. Sorry, the pic doesnt show the whole tattoo but, my tattoos are my business. The lines and the shading are super clean. I would definitely recommend this shop, and Layne, to anyone who asks me for a tattoo referral. While I was there, there was another artist working on a guy and his work was also looking very nice. Their pics speak for themselves. This is a good shop, ill definitely be coming back. Oh, and if you go, check out the bathroom. All the reviews talk about the bathroom, it is a must see. lol.

The best thing I can say about this place was that the owner takes walk-ins. My boyfriend & I visited on Superbowl Sunday, which Im sure accounted in large part for the lack of other customers. Yet, I dont think it was the only reason. There were no displays of the tattoo "artists" work, so we had no indication of his talent. My boyfriend wanted a simple ahkh design, yet the owner had trouble finding one we liked. I finally drew one myself, & he transfered it onto my boyfriends skin for the tattoo. The shop was clean. Instraments were sterile. A sign was clearly posted saying he didnt work on minors. Other decor indicated the owner was Christian, which wouldnt have mattered to us except that he clearly had a personal issue with doing a pentagram tattoo for my boyfriend and then preceeded to tell him while he was in the chair that God had protected him while he was in the service in Iraq so he should get away from "that pentagram stuff". The design was ok, but the owner didnt give us any aftercare instructions. In short, Id recommend this place if you want simple tattoo & dont want to wait for an appointment, but not if you want a non-Christian design.

A group of my friends has received a lot of work from matt. All together they have had over 5 tattoos and 10 piercings done by him personally. He has tattooed them while being high. Not only is it unprofessional,but it isnt safe. His artwork is okay, but I would say it isnt up to par. While looking at the tattoos hes given my friends Ive noticed his lines are shaky and his coloring isnt filled in all the way. He also tries to jip you on price by making you pay more than what his artwork talent is even worth. I cant speak for the other tattoo artist because I havent seen any of his work, but being an artist myself and seeing matts talent I would not get a tattoo here. Regardless matt is a really nice and cool person to be around. My opinion of his work isnt personal by any means. Business wise it just isnt a good investment.

Tattoo style is of personal preference. Alex Garcia is one of my favorite artists (his artwork and his tattoo work) I have 2 tattoo artists that I go do, purely for different styles. Alex is professional, personable and his style is unique. I pass his cards out all over town, and have even given a few away in other cities, from people asking about my tattoos! I support and highly recommend Alex Garcia and Sac City Ink. Clean, comfortable, friendly, professional, quality oriented.

Not a good experience at all. First guy told me on a Thursday to come back Monday. Went back Friday since they were open to get a additon to a tattoo and they couldnt make it work in the space I wanted which was odd. Went back Saturday with a easier addition and they couldnt make that work either. By now I felt they didnt want to. So I went to Legacy and they were able to make it work. Their details were bananas and they had great customer service.

Got my tattoo from kai kidd. He did an amazing job with what I wanted and was very reasonable and flexible with what I wanted. The whole staff there were also amazing. In the end, I love the work I got done and will definitely return in the future. Thank you!

Top knotch artist, clean shop, ive been going to Alex Garcia for 6 +/- years now. Ive Never needed a touch up, hell spend more time getting the correct placement thean he will actually tattooing.
