These guys are idiots and shouldnt be trusted with money. In fact, they should be put down before they further pollute the gene pool with their ineptitude. If there was a way to give 0 stars, thats what they would get. Im a silversmith, and have been buying/scrapping precious metals and stones for 5 years now. I went into this shop with about a pound of silver rings my brother and i had made (look us up on etsy; brutal handmade goods), and the middle aged nerdy looking guy there was just plain rude, came off extremely entitled and bore a very high opinion of himself, acting like he was better than me. Then, he offered me literally $1/oz of custom bullion grade mens jewelry. As it cost almost $300 for the silver, and took a month to make all the rings, Im pretty sure that guy was a loser and needs his head crushed with a rock. So i went back a week later, and there was an older guy with a beard there. Guy was a lot more respectful, but still lowballed me to the max. If youre a fellow scrapper, take your business to moms silver shop, the people who run that shop are way nicer, and treat you fairly by actually paying at or very near spot price. I still wouldnt sell my work for materials value, but any and all metals purchases and scrapping endeavors will henceforth be done through moms silver. Action pawn can suck it.

I love pawn shops but this is one of the few i regret going into. I walked in and was welcomed by a younger soft spoken gentleman which was nice. Someone walked in right after me and was trying to sell one of his belongings so an older fellow who I am guessing to be the owner came out and extremely lowballed him which I understand then he calls out another employee who he said was an "expert" on the item. Once the "expert" came out they both started laughing in his face while the guy tried to defend himself they kept on laughing. once the guy who was trying to sell his stuff left they stood there and gossiped about him as they were trying to get me to buy something from the case. The guy who I guessed to be the owner looks real sleazy as if he were some stereotypical pawn guy in a ghetto new york pawn shop. I was hesitant to even answer him as he kept badgering and asking me if I wanted to see something in the case. If youve been there for over a minute youll know what Im talking about. Ill never go there again.

I go here to get good deals on stuff fairly often. Being that it is used Im sure to test it first since they guys admit that is always the best way to be sure. I dont have issues. I test the stuff out before I buy, and in the cases i cant test (controllers, games etc) they have always let me bring it back (within a reasonable amount of time). As an EXTRA BONUS i love seeing the trolls. People who come back with items they brought weeks or even months before and try to return. Or the lady who bought something dropped it getting into her car then tried to come back in and return it as broken when she bought it. I have stories about this kind of stuff for DAYS! Its so funny when people get all upset and then after a time it makes the one manager get irate. I come for the deal and I stay for the show. * Pros: Seeing Trolls IRL * Cons: Staff trys to keep them calm

Very poor customer service. I brought in an electric guitar and amp today and I had the misfortune of speaking to the owner, Tracy, who was very condescending. He made it very clear that since he ran the shop he didnt have to be polite. He further insulted me by offering me $10 for the guitar and the amp.... I took the guitar to Skips Music and they were much more helpful. They told me that I should expect to get $75-$100 for the guitar on craigslist but legally they couldnt buy it from me because the serial # was partially scratched off. (Something Tracy didnt even mention was a law in California) Needless to say, i wont be going back to Action Pawn Shop to buy or sell anything else and neither should you. Unless you enjoy being low balled and belittled by Tracy.

I used them. Every interaction I have with employees at this place was nice. I was always respectfully addressed. The appraisor even told me. "You have nice pieces of jewelry and I would hate to see you loose them." My expiration date was one day before my payroll. I called and they verified my statement and I was able to pay my loan and loose. As a person I was already ashamed to have fallen on hard times and have to pawn the pieces of jewlery my mother gave to me on her bed. The staff was so pleasant and the place was not seedy at all that I felt much better about using them and will go back to make other purchases. Heaven forbid I should fall on rough times again, but if I did I would go back there. I live an hour away from them and I will always go back.

They sold me a 32inch t.v. for almost 200 tryed to bring it in on a pawn they said it was to old to be pawn but i bought it from them less then a month be for trying to get a loan.they sold me a 2010 t.v. for too much they wouldnt even buy the TV back and I had the proper receipts they did not display that I had a time. To bring in my TV with the receipt Thats was only five days to get my money back then they told me they wouldnt even pawn it because it was too old I strongly encourage people to buy items out of the store with a receipt you have more of a guarantee in a warranty then you do with a pawn shops when it comes to your money no one likes to throw away money nor give it away

I just left this place about 15 min ago and this guy was so rude and unhelpfull by far the worst pawn shop Ive ever been to FORSURE!!!!!....I just moved to the area and had a camera brand new but he didnt even look at it and a ring all I wanted was a loan for 40$ the pair together was worth a 150$...I called in first to see if it was open and the guy says if u call a shop and there not open there not gonna b in buissness long....well with the way you treat people you will not be in buisness much longer either.....and who ever wrote that last comment prob works at this pawnshop and is FULL of S#!t.....dont go here!!!!!

I go here to get great deals on all kinds of stuff. I also go for amusement. The cast of characters is greatly amusing. There is the staff along with reoccurring roles from certain customers and of course instances of people Ive never seen before. I have worked this place into my routine so I can get the best deals, and if i get lucky see a great show. The manages and his over exuberance and big exclamations is a hoot, and seeing how the rest of the staff and others interact with him is often hilarious. Go here. Get deals, and if your lucky get entertained.
