MOCA continues to disappoint on every level and I will not renew my membership...again. I try to support this initiative and drop off every few years then try again...not again. The security is so over zealous that they tried to confiscate my backpack! It was a quiet Sunday morning, I wanted to see a few installations, wearing my membership sticker proudly and went through a 15 minute conversation about my backpack which held my wallet, lipstick and iPad. Anyway, I received special permission to keep the backpack, I offered to let them search it, etc. After this agressive greeting the exhibits did not make up for it at all. LACMA will now get my support.

Cool shop but nasty, passive aggressive employees on Saturday 6/17/17. Said they ship, then refused to do so and directed me to the website, which doesnt have 3 of the 4 things I wanted to buy. I couldnt have been politer and they (2 young women) couldnt have been less interested. 3 books and several other things - sale lost. Kerry James Marshall exhibit and the tour guide that day were both phenomenal!

I came in because I bought a Groupon that gave us $10 to spend in the store as well as tickets to the museum. All I can say is limited selection and way overpriced. There were books about the artists who were featured and many odd little trinkets I didn’t have any use for. I ended up walking away with a cool $20 bottle opener which even with my $10 discount, I feel like I paid way too much for.

Cool little store with a solid variety of books, toys, and take aways. Spend some time exploring, you never know when you might find something special! Staff here are friendly and helpful, as well as quite knowledgable. A great place to find a gift for someone who loves the arts and/or design!

They have a great variety of books & artwork. They are open on Tuesdays even though MOCA is closed on Tuesdays. If you have money to blow they have the Jeff Koons Balloon Dogs available for purchase. They also have a Dr. Romanelli clothing collection.

Staff was really helpful and understanding! Why not 5 stars? I proposed to my girlfriend here and she said no, but the cashier said YES! Its not the best marriage but its definitely been 80% good
