I have shopped in many thrift shops in San Diego and this is by leaps and bounds the best one. Size, price, variety, change in stock is the best. Clothing is used or new, brand names or no names. Cash only. You dont have to bring your own plastic bags. They even have bathrooms but its in the back and it is closed around 11am for cleaning daily. Parking can get quite crowded so come early. Their tag sales are a great deal but sometimes it seems like they change the tags to different colors at night. Even without the tag sales I shop there once a week for anything. Clothes, textbooks, shoes, toys, kids books, paintings, frames, furniture, arts and crafts items, electronics, luggage, housewares, etc. Long lines if there is a huge sale but worth the wait. During the weekday mornings my line wait is max 5-7 people but there are usually 5 cashiers. Also, they have an atm in there. But always bring cash before going in. Plan to spend at least an hour there. If its your first time, maybe more time. You will be fascinated at the branda you will find if you are willing to dig through the racks.

Pros - Big store so GREAT variety of items - Constant turnover of items. I usually shop the DVDs and they have a good variety week in and week out - The store is as organized as it can be. When it gets busy, its not as good but the layout is very strong and consistent. - The prices are reasonable and it doesnt seem like theyre trying to get you like they do at Goodwill. Cons - Lines. Be careful coming on a Friday or on the weekend. The lines can get REALLY long. - Staff is okay, including the cashiers. Some can be rude, unfriendly and very cold. - Occasionally youll run into the "kill or be killed" shopper which will get REALLY annoying - CASH ONLY. They have an ATM there but it still sucks having to pay the fees. Overall, I like coming here because its a great bargain. Ive probably spent over $200 here buying all sorts of random stuff. You never know what theyll have which is why I keep coming back. But pick the days in which you come because it can get pretty intense on the bad days.

Love going to this thrift shop. I get exercise while walking around, and as a collector, find great stuff. Unfortunately, sometimes prices are ridiculously high for items, when it is supposed to be a thrift shop; at times more than the item is worth. Yet other times, you do find awesome bargains, which youll love. You just have to really look for these bargains, because there is a lot of competition. Staff is nice when you are polite, but other customers tend to be rude and sometimes even agressive, so keep an eye for your stuff. People will snatch your items from the cart if you are not watching. Check your items well before buying, there are no returns. This is a cash only store, so be prepared. However, there is an ATM inside.

This is my favorite thrift store in San Diego county. It has a huge selection and generally some pretty great deals in comparison with other thrift stores in the area. Its like the super store of thrift shops and Escondido is lucky to have it. I havent run into any other stores like it in my travels. Like the unhidden gem that it is, its almost always crowded no matter what time of day, so be prepared to share your personal space with other people who had the same idea as you. Its important to note that this place is cash only. There is an ATM in store with a fee of a few dollars to use, so if you want to avoid the fee then come prepared with cash.

Staff sucks. They hate whites. They hate blacks. The hate asians. They really hate indians. They hate arabs even more. They hate old people . They hate kids. They hate the disabled. I had to wait for awhile and observed them. I wish i would have videoed what i saw and heard. SHOCKING. Totally fake to everyones face , unless you are hispanic. Then they love you. Oh.. PS. Not AMVETS.ANYMORE DONATIONS ONLY HELP THE OWNERS MAKE $$$$. NOT HELPING VETERANS. THEY BOUGHT OUT AMVETS YEARS AGO AND ARE RIDING ON THE REPUTATION FOR FREE STUFF TO SELL FOR BANK!

My family and I have been going there for the last 10 yrs. I have never had issues once with any cashier, until nov, 3rd 2015. The cashier by the name of Maritza", is Horrible! She had the worst attitude In the whole place. She pretended to help us , and on purpose she gave us the worst attitude imaginable, at the end we told her she had a horrible attitude, and in front of my 11 year old kid, she gave us a dirty look. Hope this girl either gets a better attitude or she should be in the back hauling heavy furniture.

I have gotten some great buys but a lot of the clothing is overpriced granted the expensive things were very expensive at retail but this stuff was donated so why dont they donate or not charge so much people still think this is an vet which I was willing to donate to so now I donate to goodwill I shall still shop at my favorite store Im always told how great I look little do people know sometime my whole outfit only cost me $30.00 that includes everything on me

CASH ONLY. WOW!! This place is incredible! Was suggested to pass by this place from staff at Pho Lee after eating lunch there. Tons of everything!! From pursues, clothes to random accessories. Great place to also find brand new gifts with tags and such. Im looking forward to coming back. Apparently weekends are when there are sales. We came on a Saturday where anything color tag but white was 50% off!!! Pretty awesome.

I honestly love this place, but I was denied being able to purchase a nerf gun that I was trying to find because it didnt have a tag (keep in mind that they have staff who put tags on items that dont have them all the time). This laziness just pisses me off to no extent. Second, the shelves are a mess, which kinda sucks when you are trying to find what you want

I have gone into this place numerous times to find nothing but overly priced junk for sale. The staff are rude to everyone except Mexicans. The only reason why I still donate my stuff is because it is convienent for me. That and the prices being so high in store allows me to increase the value of my donated items come tax time. So its a love hate relationship.

Your prices have gone up so much that people are talking about it on social media. Your shoes, for example, are close to the price of other stores but arent brand new. I stopped shopping with you because I couldnt afford a pair of hiking shoes that were used! You get your items for free..you should go back and make thing more affordable.

I have been going there for 3 years. People who work there are very rude, and lately prices are jacked so high. They call it a thrift store but actually they take all the donations and the profit goes under the table. They say the owners are all lawyers and they make tons of money. Doesnt want to spend a penny there any more.
