Though in its totality Organix is a perfectly fine little market, we were immediately turned off when we discovered that not only are plenty of their items not organic (as the name implies), but that so many are far from it. Grossly misleading to say the least. That aside, of the organic (and otherwise decent-quality) items they do carry, there are some pleasant surprises. Things like Organic Pastures and Claravale raw dairy and the very small-production (and very hard-to-find) Coconut Cow Mexican coconut kefir come to mind. They seem to do their best to support some local start-ups, too. We were confused by the kombucha selection, which includes Health-Ade, Reeds, and the (apparently expanding) Oregon-based Lion Heart – all brewers we arent exactly big fans of. Health-Ade is stupidly overpriced for its mediocre quality, Reeds is a joke, and Lion Heart is good for those obsessively avoiding sugar but otherwise leaves much to be desired. Thankfully, they also have Brew Dr., which is generally pretty good. Some of the produce was past its prime, some looked really top-notch. Like the rest of the store, most of it was priced very reasonably. As we arrived here late at night, we didnt get a chance to try their deli, so we cant speak to its deliciousness or lack thereof, but on quick look, it seems to be your average vegan fast-food fare (hot dogs, burgers, and the like). Most likely made predominantly with Daiya, Tofurky, and other cheap animal product alternatives. If our assumptions are correct, we cant say were interested.

This place is awesome. First off, people: if you want access to milk from animals that ate grass they have it here pretty reliably. Study this past week showed that in fact the fats from organic milk (grassfed) are superior and thus more health-promoting. They also have a good swatch of produce and a lot of little things that are great to find. Best feature: everythings organic. It gets to be a drag to either constantly have to check which type of thing you are looking at (Whole Foods, Trader Joes), or go off to a small sequestered section (supermarkets).

As a vegan college student visiting CA, Organix is a wonderful break from the expensive eateries that make up so much of this city. The people who run the cafe are sweet and incredibly attentive. I ended up making two visits in a day, getting the vegan French toast and the breakfast croissant, both of which were delicious. Nothing over the $6-$7 price range too, so even better! Only difficulty is finding the place! Its inside a small "food court" off of Figueroa and Wilshire with minimal signage, so pay attention or youll miss it!

I had to try the Puerco which is what they call their vegan jackfruit "pulled pork" sandwich. Of course the sandwich was pricey at $10, but you might pay that much for an actual pork sandwich in Eagle Rock these days. Overall the sandwich was well made and tasty. Besides that you can walk away with that smug sense of self satisfaction from not having clogged your arteries with pork fat. Win-win situation, although I do see that they normally will serve French fries again after their upgrade. Lol

I came with my vegan girlfriend. Im not vegan but I saw a picture of their street hot dog and was looking forward to it but when we got here they didnt have it :( I got a mac daddy and she got the pulled pork sandwich. I didnt like mine and luckily for me my girlfriend agreed to switch. Hers tastes much better. Four stars because the prices for their groceries were outrageous. Service was friendly.

The guy up front was pretty unfriendly because we came in two minutes before last call for deli orders. The barbacoa tacos and burrito were one of the few menu items left, so we has little choice. The barbacoa had good texture, but they were super spicy! Way too spicy. I dont think Id come back to Organix anytime soon. Maybe after I forget this experience.

Ive been to Organix many times and it has always been a wonderful experience. Their food selection keeps getting better and better. I especially love the variety of local, artisan vegan products. But the best part of this place by far is their vegan deli. Their food is off the charts. The pulled "pork" sandwich (made with jackfruit) is outstanding.

Amazing. Incredibly tasty. I always find a way to come to here when Im remotely close to LA. My favorites: Puerco (pulled pork) and Zucchini fries; and the ranch sauce that comes with the fries are ridiculously good. Damn near everything is good on the menu. Oh, tacos are a bit small so buy 2-3; but theyre still delicious.

Extremely overpriced. The only thing reasonably priced is the canned Jackfruit. This is the only place I can find it. Their take out food is pretty good and at medium price point (for vegan take-out) but everything I have tried has been pretty average.

Had lunch in the deli that is part of this supermarket and the food was great! Food is, just like the supermarket, all vegan. Unfortunately theres no public restroom, but you can find one in the places just next to it.

Insane selection of vegan food that you probably didnt even know existed. Prices arent too bad either. And the food menu will solidify your veganism, and if youre not a vegan, itll make a convert out of you.

Excellent store that carries Portlands Brew Dr. Kombucha and so many great veggie products. The deli is incredible! The best vegan spicy "chicken" sandwich Ive had so far. Excellent menu.

The food was amazing a bit on the pricey side, $3 a taco, but the market and kombucha on tap really makes this place. Eating inside can be a little difficult since they only have 3 tables.

Organix is a great place to go for food! It is a bit on the pricey side but the food is delicious and if youre looking for a very specific vegan ingredient, you may just find it here! :)

Best vegan food around town. Love all their foods. Sadly when I was here, the fryer was broken so you dont get their amazing foods.

Tiny little store with great choices for vegetarians. Call ahead and order since the wait is longer if you order in the store.

Amazing vegan food at the cafe, and a very nice little market with lots of hard to find vegan products.
