I am thrilled with the service that I received from Albert at Coalinga Auto & Truck Diesel! My daughter was coming home from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa right before Christmas and I happened to be following her. We stopped at Harris Ranch for dinner which is our halfway point and when we came out her car would only drive 5 MPH. It was very late and dark and we were able to drive the car into a nearby Chevron station. I started making phone calls to local repair shops and was referred to Albert at Coalinga Auto & Truck Diesel. I spoke with Albert and he told me that AAA would be able to tow the vehicle to his shop where he would be able to diagnose the problem. I informed him that this is my college students vehicle and that funds were low. I sent him the keys to the vehicle in the mail and he made arrangements to have the vehicle picked up. Unfortunately he was unable to get AAA to tow the vehicle because the card was not physically there, Albert was nice enough to take it upon himself to have his tow truck retrieve the vehicle. Once he had the car I was informed that the car overheated and that he had to replace the thermostat and a sensor. I asked him how much it would be and he had given me an amazing deal! I authorized the repairs to be completed and arranged to come and pick up the vehicle. It took 4 hours to drive one way to pick up the vehicle. We got to the shop and Albert was hilarious and super friendly! He showed us the parts that he replaced which were in a horrible condition, and he had my daughter drive the car around the block so that she could feel how it handled. She said that the car felt very smooth in comparison to before the repairs. We drove the four hours back home after another delicious dinner at Harris Ranch Restaurant without any car problems! I would recommend Albert at Coalinga Auto & Truck Diesel to anyone! If I lived closer I would have him service and repair all of my vehicles. Thank you Albert, you ROCK!!

I was driving from LA back to San Francisco where I live and my check engine light came on. I immediately got off the highway and went to this mechanic because he is open on Sunday. I asked him to scan my computer to tell me whats wrong and why the light came on. He tried to charge me $85 and told me that seven codes came up. He tried to scare me by asking, "Dont you want to know that youll get home safely?" I was in disbelief-- I am a student stranded in an unknown town just trying to get home. $85 dollars to give me an explanation? No way, bud. I went down the street to AutoZone and they checked it for me for FREE. Turns out only one code came up and it was nothing vital that needed to be fixed for me to go home. I am taken aback by this mechanics lack of courtesy. I understand how (local) business works, but I didnt need anything fixed. He didnt even need to get his hands dirty for such a small thing. No compassion, just greed. Customer service is horrible.

Took my car in after I botched a timing job. They flushed the radiator, installed a new one, and fixed my timing. However, the timing belt was over tensioned and now makes a whirring noise. On my drive to LA in the dead of the summer heat the AC also no longer functioned. The entire drive I also smelled burning radiator fluid. I got to an OReillys and opened my hood to see that radiator fluid had sprayed all over my engine. I bought a hose clamp and fixed that. They obviously had not test driven my car after "fixing" it. They fixed my AC after trying to worm out of it saying,"it probably didnt work when you brought it in." Timing belt is still over tensioned. I would rather take it to another shop then allow them to work on my car again for a warranty. Dont waste your time and money, its not worth it.

We had a freightliner cascadia dd15 go down with fuel in cooland only place around was these guys truck needed injector cups this waS feb this year we went to pick up truck albert tried charging? $5000.00 they left clamps off missing bolts they somehow broke heater core and just bypassed it not saying anything the truck blew hoses all the say home i wanted the parts they replaced and they gave me parts back didnt even come from detroit my truck is now at dealership i. Ariz getting injector cups replaced albert changed o rings on few of the cps no sealant DO NOT TAKE YOUR TRUCK TO THIS RIPOFF shop were going to court sue there ass scmbag thiefs T

Dont trust this guy with your vehicle. Took it in for a 60,000 mile service, told me he replaced fluids and that the brakes were fine. Now a couple months later (and minimal miles put on car) i find out from a second source that not only are my brakes worn down almost to the metal but that fluids that should have been replaced with the service look like they have been changed in years. Now i cant even trust that the service was ever performed. Hes a liar and a scammer. It is also extremely suspicious that he only takes cash.

I would recommend Albert at Coalinga Auto Repair Center. He was just amazing. I was there over Memorial Day weekend. I took my daughter to see my son in Law at the prison out there and when I came out to my car my check engine light was on. I was worried because I came from Nevada and wanted to make sure that my car was going to make it home ok Albert took very good care of my car and I had no problem getting home.

Installed a rebuilt transmission for me. Reasonable price. Discovered and fixed the cause of the check engine light (I didnt mention it to him ahead of time). Transmission is working great and the check engine light remains off. Car is working great!

Amazing customer service! We were traveling back home to Seattle on a Friday afternoon broke down and Albert waited for the towing company after hours to make sure our truck was serviced first thing in the morning! Now were "on the road again" ❤️
