Cracker Barrel IMO is not stellar with their service. This place in particular is below that standard. We arrived before a flood of folks came in. While we were waiting to be seated, I could see numerous tables open yet the hostess wanted us to wait. We sat there close to 10 minutes for that. Then we got our drink orders and then she came back to take our orders. People that came in after us were getting their food and we waited about 40 minutes before we threatened to leave. Waitress said that my fathers catfish was holding up the order. Are you kidding me? Youre blaming us for your slow butts? Finally the food came out and while she gave an apology, they offered no percent off the bill for the slowness of that whole evening. Girl at the counter asked how was everything, of course told her and she really offered nothing either other than..."sorr-eeeee". Food was ok but its a chain so you can get it anywhere. Avoid Decatur anyway. Too much construction going on.

We were told 10 to 15 mins waited about 45. Tons of empty tables. Got here about 915. Only a handful of people waiting b4 us. After 25 mins I asked how much longer she said we were 5th about 10 people were called and still not us!! She said they got really busy and going in order. Funny because the pe5that were called back were not there when we arrived. Several parties of 4 were called and yet still not us. Granted we are a mixed family and maybe that is why everyone else was seated. I complained several times even to the manager but it fell on deaf ears she said we r going in order...what a joke. Then we were told its a new cook crew and thats what took so long to get seated. Wtf. When we did get seated we passed tons of tables just to sit in the farthest back corner by the emergency exit along with 2 other black families. . Makes ya wonder. Praying our food doesnt get spit in.

:) Very disappointed. I called on 6-29-2016 for takeout. Was told it would be 20-25 minutes, which was fine with me. Arrived and paid for my order...then waited for the food to show up. A LONG wait. I was so frustrated I didnt check my order (seems that should be done by someone who works there) 2 pancake orders were included with NO butter or syrup. A childs fried chicken was made with grilled chicken and without the ordered cornbread, and the grilled chicken salad did not have one sourdough crouton nor did it have the crackers I ordered to go with it. It is an absolute shame the lack of detail in preparing this meal. Its certainly is not the first time I have had problems with takeout there, but probably will be the last...This restaurant gives the Cracker Barrel chain a black eye!!!

I go to cracker barrel once every few years because my husband loves it. This one was was what I expected from a cracker barrel. Food was great, staff was very polite, service was a little slow and they forgot a couple of things. They did make up for forgotten items by giving us about 12 biscuits to replace the missing biscuits in my husbands meal.

When I walked in it looked like upper management was there so I assumed my service was going to be great. It took 15 min to get our drink order taken and 20 min for our food order. Needless to say by the time we recieved our food it was cold and the cornbread was burnt. We had to track down our waiter twice to get drink refills.

Busy place and a goto for family or church meetings. The food tends to be consistent and good. My dissappointment is with the entire chain. Since changing their menus the portions are smaller and expensive. This particular location is well maintained and clean. Service can be lack luster during really busy times.

Food is always good. Front desk customer service great. Need improvement on to go orders. Phone sometimes hang up during transfer as well as time frame for pick up is NEVER accurate. I continue to patronize this establishment because everyone deserves the opportunity to get it right.

Cannot beat the down home food. Bathrooms are always clean and have everything you need. They no longer give the free samples of their hand cream in the bathroom and I thought that was a shame. The "country store" is overpriced but their sales make up for it.

This was a joke. Waited for ever for a table. And it was 12 tables in the open dining rooms. So I ask the two girls that had no clue what they were doing about the 12 tables and theyre answer was nobodys wiped them off. This place doesnt even need to be open.

William ordered breakfast got French fries over done put on the table. Had to butter his own toast. I got some kinda beans I dont eat beans. Wonder if it was waitress fault, maybe not paying attention, or the cooks fault for not reading the ticket.

Same as most Cracker Barrels, this place is filled during meal times, so going off-hours is a good idea. Service is usual cafeteria grade. Drink refills seem to peter out after 1.3 glasses of tea.

Had to butter own toast. Had to send toast back to get toasted. Had to keep asking for things. Like jelly, & ketchup. Plus she brought over cooked French fries for homefries with my omelette.

Stopped in to see if they had my size of a dress we had seen at a Cracker Barrel in Texas. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Have eaten here before. Food and service were very good.

Great staff, great service. Was craving biscuits and gravy on the way home to the Shoals and got 2 dozen biscuits and 2 pints of gravy for my car load, and got it within 10 minutes.

Its a very good cracker barrel, and I managed one a long time ago for a couple of years. Must have a good GM and it shows. Clean, effecient, and very solid on all the food.

Good food as always. Friendly staff. Attentive waitress. Not as good as I remember as a kid but good none the less. I will continue to eat here forever.

The food and the service were good! We had the Thanksgiving dinner, which was all good, except I thought it was Strang the pumpkin pie was barely thawed.

Cant really go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Except ...the noise. I guess its the acoustics, but its never a quiet meal, if thats what youre after.

It took 30 minutes to get a drink. Then another 30 to get food. When it came the order was wrong and the biscuits were the size of a quarter.

Waited waited waited. First for seats, then for food, then for right food after half the food they served the first time was wrong.
