Having frequented several bicycle shops over the years, I have settled on going to Bicycle Boulevard, especially for big purchases, maintenance & repairs. I have found their advice to be solid, and their labor prices to be very reasonable. They usually finish any work by or before their estimated time. Ive also found their staff to be friendly & informative. They walked me through purchasing a new bike, and were even understanding when I walked out the door to go check out other models at other stores (I eventually bought one from Bicycle Boulevard). The only downside is their selection of smaller accessories (seat packs, jerseys, cyclometers, etc.) is a bit limited. Its a great local shop. In response to the negative comment by "Michael" below, this doesnt sound like the Bicycle Boulevard I know at all. As "DByers" pointed out, the only entrance is in the back. The store usually has 2-4 people staffing it, and while sometimes you might have to wait for a staff member to finish with a customer, Ive never been flat out ignored. Not only that, but they have been more than willing to repair lesser bikes or very old bikes without being condescending about it. I almost wonder if the negative review was meant for a different store.

I would like to take a moment to address the negative review given by "Michael" below, even though that person wrote it over three years ago. First of all, Bicycle Boulevard has NO parking available on the front of the store facing Chagrin Blvd. In fact, none of the stores in that shopping strip have frontal parking. That is why Bicycle Boulevards front door is locked, and has a LARGE sign stating "entrance in rear". I can picture this doofus "Michael" standing there in front of a locked door waiting for someone to help him. Secondly, Frank Hall the owner, as well as ANY person Frank has hired over the years as a mechanic are the friendliest, most helpful kind of people you will meet. I cannot fathom them ripping someone off by "fiddling" with "Michael"s brakes while it was the rear tire flat, just needing a tube installed. I also cannot imagien anyone stupid enough to go into a bike shop, knowingly needing a rear tube installed, and then just standing there while a mechanic worked on their brakes...without saying something?? My suspicion is that "Michael" is an employee of another Cleveland area bicycle shop trying to hurt Franks business. Bicycle Boulevard=Quality bicycles and service. PERIOD

My experience here was awful. I stood in the front of the store for a long time with my bike before someone would even acknowledge my presence. Then they pulled some truly amateur stuff by putting my bike up on a rack and pretending to fiddle with the rear brake pads to "fix" them when all I needed was a new tube for my rear tire, charging me $20 for this fake repair work, but not realizing until I had already left what had transpired. The "repairman" and his minion who originally waited on me clearly have this entire process down to a science, so be forewarned. This "repairman" also insulted my bike and told me it was going to break at any moment and only worth around $100. Great.thanks for that insight, I know what my bike is worth and no, I am not Lance Armstrong preparing for the Tour de France tomorrow, so lay off the condescending attitude. Customer service is all but dead here. Please make all efforts to go somewhere else if you can.

I had recently arrived to the Shaker Heights area for work and after riding my bike a few times my rear tire tube blew. I had a lot of miles on the tire and when I took it in Frank, the owner, inspected my tire and recommended a new one (I had already been thinking this as the tread was well worn). I ended up dropping my bike off for a simple tune up as I knew I needed a new chain also and my bike had not been looked at for several years. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend this local owned shop for all your bicycle needs. The prices were extremely reasonable and I had my bike back the very next day in time for the weekend to hit the trails!

My husband and I have done business here for a few years and think the service is great and purchased 4 bikes from them. We love the brands they sell and their service and friendliness. We have recommended this shop to others. I cant say that we exclusively shop here for bicycle accessories, but I can say we enjoy shopping here. You can definitely get a fair deal here. Finally, I believe the expertise here is among the top in the area.

I have been a customer of Bicycle Boulevard and known the current owner before he opened his own shop for over 25 years. My family and I have purchased quite a few bicycles and lots of bicycle accessories in that time. We have always been treated with the utmost respect and honesty. This is my favorite bike store ever. Top quality bikes. Top rate service.

While the staff was helpful and nice, I came in to have a derailleur and lower bracket fixed. It took them over 2.5 weeks to have parts ordered and installed. As they only order parts once a week, they over estimated repair time by a week and a half. They also initially charged for extra services that were not agreed on up front.

I called the shop to ask what the hours of operation were. The owner answered the phone and told me he closed a half hour ago, but was still there and asked what I needed and when could I be there. I told him I needed to purchase a couple of tubes and he told me to stop down...and he sold me the tubes after closing.

Brought my 20 year old bike here for a tune-up, got it working great. A week or two later, the ratchet thing in my rear wheel broke. Theres no way anyone could have caught it during the tune-up because its an internal component, but they gave me a discount on the rear wheel replacement anyway. Overall great service.

Frank is a great guy, I stumbled across Franks Bike Shop when I decided not to buy from another Dealer in the Area. Haven driven all the way from Erie, Im glad I found Frank. Great place to buy Bikes from and have work done on them. I will continue to drive from Erie to see Frank for my next purchase.
