Rude employee. I was checking out and realized that they only took a check or cash no cards. Like most people or many people anyway I dont carry that much cash with me so I started to write a check and then after I wrote it she told me they couldnt take it because it didnt have my name because it was a company check. OK fine I still was willing to go to an ATM and come back but the ATM that she directed me to was rather far. But I told her I would indeed be back. There was another employee behind her not working the register who was glaring at me the entire time for some reason. And when I got ready to leave she shouted out we can only hold it for 20 minutes. And I just responded well its gonna take me 20 minutes to get to the bank so do whatever you want. I go here quite often and considering she wasnt even the one helping me she had no right to chime in and say anything first of all and second of all the need she had to yell at me when I was almost out the door is beyond me. She just had to show her authority I guess. Needless to say I didnt go back for the stuff and I wont be back to this particular Goodwill. Her tone her behavior and her overall demeanor was completely uncalled for. Now I thought the goodwill was supposed to be helping people to get them ready for a real job. I hope this one isnt looking in to going into a job dealing with people. Shes obviously a miserable soul and have to push her wait around when its needed and uncalled for. She definitely is more training I guess

Shadow Executive
A great organization that accepts gentle used clothes, shoes, furniture and household items and presents them for resale to the public at extraordinary low prices. Proceeds benefit people across eastern North Carolina through various life enriching opportunities and programs. Shopper, must realize that is not a first run department store, these items are donated and minimal investment is used to showcase and resale these items so that maximum return on investment can be used to achieve GCFs mission. Simply, put this means you will not be privy to the amenities provided in first run department stores i.e. music, numerous sales associates, sizing/sorting of clothing in a separate or distinctive manner and other posh benefits. These centers are usually lightly staffed, so the nerves and patience of a single staff members maybe frayed and on edge dealing with the public all day. This is not an explanation to excuse, but a mere fact that GCF administrators and staff should be aware that polite, helpful and good customer service is not a luxury, amenity or benefit but a absolute standard for commerce in a service economy. Finally, aside from checking your elitist diva attitude at the door, patrons should pack patience, and zeal for sorting through many products to find great items for economical prices and bring cash or checks because they do not accept credit or debit cards.

Uneventful other than kind clerk. Music is a great marketing tool to keep people shopping. There is none thru out area Goodwills. Im South Carolina its a celebration to shop. New items come out bells ring people engage in conversation. Suggestion for lingerie bon separate the belts and scarves. I want to see you all succeed in addition make memories at the Goodwill.

Is there a 0 stars?!! Donate here all the time. Went in to shop for some household decor and I was treated HORRIBLY. I guess being treated like a criminal is part of the goodwill experience? Not for me. Will continue to donate, NOT shop. Plus with all the donations, where is all the stuff?
