I normally have a great experience at this Columbia store - great help while in the store, very friendly employees, and super easy returns. But when I purchased a rain jacket on sale, the cashier accidentally rang it up wrong, so I turned around while leaving the store and got it fixed. A couple days later, I went back to return the jacket because I found a different one that I wanted instead at another store. My friend, who had bought the same jacket with me and was also returning it, had no trouble returning, except for the cashier, Lynn, was very demanding about the fact that she needed a photo ID to return. My friend did not have a photo ID on her, because we are 12 and 13 years old. After Lynn lectured/yelled at us for the lack of photo IDs, I went up to return my jacket. She already had issues because apparently, if youre under the age of 18, you cant return a cash-paid item without both a photo ID and a parent or guardian. I find this ridiculous because I was not informed of this while making the purchase, and it was not written on the receipt. So after we had that discussion, Lynn told me that the product did not match the receipt that I had on me, although I knew that I was correct. Apparently, the lady that had originally helped me with my purchase had made me pay for the wrong item (which was more expensive...), and also gave me the wrong receipt. So I gave Lynn my angry voiced remarks about this stupidity, and she went to get the manager. Lynn comes back saying that shes not even supposed to give back store credit but she wouldnt give us anything is we didnt have a parent "Im not even supposed to be doing this but i can give you store credit even though this is the wrong item." Well let me tell you, Lynn. I should completely be able to receive a FULL cash return because I did everything correctly, it was Columbia who messed up. I finally brought my mom in, who yelled at Lynn and got me my cash back. So no, I am proud to say that Columbia has just lost 3 of their formerly loyal customers.
