I called Dewey Ford inquiring about a new Ford Focus. I told our salesman that I was interested in that car and would be paying in cash. I made the three hour drive from Nebraska and when I arrived and found the salesman who I had talked to on the phone, he notified me that the car wasnt in this lot and he had to go get it. So I waited approximately 30 minutes for him to bring the car. I looked at it, liked it, made an offer, and we went back and forth but reached an agreement. Then, a man by the name of Steve, from the finance office, came in and brought some paperwork that said "Ford Finance." I asked why I needed to fill this out and put my social security number, if I was paying the full amount with a personal check. Steve was very rude and had an attitude as soon as he sat down. He pulled out a sticky note and said "here, if you dont like that form, how about this one?." I then informed Steve that I was his customer and I deserve to be treated with respect, especially over a matter involving a social security number, that, if misused, could lead to identity theft/fraud. I told Steve that I hadnt written the check yet, and if he wanted to go tell his boss that he just ruined this deal, keep on giving me that attitude. Steve then walked away. On a positive note, I believe the general manager or floor manager (cant remember his name) came up and thanked me for my purchase. I informed him of Steve and how if this car was for me (was buying it for someone else) I would have walked away, just because of him. The manager apologized and went to talk with Steve. He brought back a new employee from the finance office to finalize the paperwork. I do appreciate and thank the manager for his service. As with any buying experience, it all depends on who you get and I guess its hit or miss. My advice: Avoid Steve from the finance office at all costs. If you get any hints of disrespect or poor customer service, remember you are the customer and you do not need to tolerate that. There are many more car dealers across the state of Iowa that would appreciate your business. I see that Dewey Ford has a lot of good reviews, so Im hoping this is just bad luck for me.

Dewey Ford has been one of the best car dealership experiences that I have had in alot of years. They are one of the few dealers that will take the time to listen to your wants and needs and find you exactly what you want in a new vehicle. Buying a new vehicle is a big step and a financial investment, and they make sure you are satisfied with your new vehicle. I live in a small town and our own ford dealer cant even come close to what they have to offer. I drive by there every day and laugh about what they missed out on. Ron Pink and Harley Deems, are one of the few salesman I would recommend for anyone to purchase a vehicle from. These two people made my decision easy and smooth. Not only were they courteous and professional with exceptional customer service they were above the rest and few people earn that respect from me so fast. They make you feel at home and no pressure to buy. Thanks for making me proud to own and drive a vehicle purchased from you and Dewey Ford. Justin Carter, was very knowledgeable in the vehicle I purchased. He made sure I was comfortable with my new vehicle and no question was left unanswered. When I left the dealer I felt like I had owned the vehicle for years. Stephanie Alber, was also a great financial adviser. She went out of her way to ensure I had the best deal in interest rates and the correct coverage for my vehicle. Matt Karnatz, was an exceptional individual that answered all of my questions about the needs and wants in a new pickup. Matt is very knowledgeable in service and performance of their products. This Dealership tops them all in every department and service they provide. I would hope that if you were considering buying a new or used vehicle, please take the time and visit with these individuals before you buy, you will not be disappointed. Last but not least. The hardest thing for me to do was to trade in my pickup that I loved so much. I purchased this from Dewey Ford 3 years ago and was treated the same way back then. Exceptional and Great Job Everyone!!!!!! I will be back and bring my friends and family also. Youve earned a friend for life.

I recently bought a new 2013 Explorer at Dewey. The sales person was great and very helpful. When I bought my new car I bought the “Plan A” (which is an a package that is meant to protect the paint, the interior, and the bottom side of the car.) I took it in 2 days later to get it done and my salesman dropped it off at my house since I was working. I came home and when I started to look at my new car, I started to find problems. There was adhesive on the paint still, a 2 inch cut in my dash and only about 80% of the undercoating was done. A few days later my salesman was let go and I called to talk to the sales General Manger about how great he was and I told him about my problem. He didn’t offer to fix it just said call if you have any other questions. That weekend I took it in to show him, he was nice to me apologized for what happened. Said he would redo it with a detail and they would “patch” the dash. We talked to the service manager and told me to bring it in when it was dry out so they can do the Pan A, the first time I took it in it was snowing out…… A few days later I took it in, so they can redo it. When I go back to pick it up, the dash was patched good but I can still tell where the scratch was, there was compound form the was wax splattered on my hood, in my door seals, on the plastics, in several grooves. In order to put it on the paint it has to be clean. There were multiple very dirty areas all over the car. The cleaning consisted of driving it through an automatic car wash. The inside there were glue shavings on my dash and leaves in the trunk. To top it all off the adhesive that I found before that started me looking into everything, was still on the door. I gave them two shoots at getting it right and failed. I wonder how many people this has happened to that does not know what to look at.

In a nutshell heres what happened...my husband and I had been looking for a used F150 and happened across one at Dewey. My first impression was good, very helpful and nice. We called (we live 200 miles away) at 11:30am on a Saturday, they put together a video of the vehicle for us and sent it via email at about 1:00pm. At 1:30pm we were on the phone giving them an offer, feeling confident that what we offered would get us the truck. At 6:15pm the rep. contacted us via email and asked for the VIN number on the vehicle we were trading. Monday morning I emailed and asked where we stood on the deal. I finally called at Noon and much to my surprise was told the vehicle had sold Saturday at 5:30. See the time frame issue here. Then, to add insult to injury, the rep proceeded to tell us that for our trade they would have given us a fraction of what Kelly Blue Book had it listed. And by a fraction Im talking almost less than half of FAIR condition. Now I know everyone thinks their vehicle is great but Im telling you....mine was in better than good condition both inside and out. What they offered was basically a slap in the face. And no reason to even say it because the truck was sold out from underneath us. Needless to say, Im happy we did not make the 4 hour trip there. Im sure we would have been driving back empty handed the way this dealership is!
