After checking out four other stores in the Santa Rosa, Sebastopol area, I thought I would stop in NorCal Bike. I had not gone before thinking it was just for the pros. In a short time Rick, one of their sales staff asked me if I needed any assistance. Boy did I. After receiving inadequate service at the other stores, where I felt I was more knowledgeable about bikes then they were, I could tell, that Rick knew his stuff and was willing to take some time with me to educate me about the bikes in the area I was looking, and a little outside of what I was looking for. Thanks to Rick, I was educated enough by him, and he had me ride so many bikes, that I could make an educated decision about the bike I needed, not necessarily the bike I thought I wanted. I spent a little more than I thought I would, but I am ultimately happier with my decision, and due to that, will likely ride my amazing Specialized road bike more than the one I was thinking about getting. When I went back to pick up my bike and get my fitting with Jeff Myhren, this was just icing on the cake. Jeff was amazing, knowledgeable, personable, and educated me even more during the whole fitting process. After the fitting the bike fit like a glove! This fitting was included with the purchase of the bike. Instead of just looking forward to heading out on the road to ride, I am now excited about it thanks to the professional and personalized service I receive at NorCal BikeSport. I know I will return there again and again and would recommend you do the same.

On a trip to Santa Rosa rented a bike from them. My experience with other rentals is you never known whether the bike will be there, whether if will be the model and size claimed, and whether it will be a wreck. No need to worry with these guys. Beautiful Tarmac, setup and adjusted for me. Shop had a good feel - happy, shiny faces on both sides of the counter. The best part of the experience was the help I got with recommendations of where to ride. A regular customer consulted with the mechanic, and later actually found me out on the road to drive me closer to the climb because in thinking about it, he knew I wouldnt get back by the time I needed to. Great experience. Thanks to all.

They know their bikes, but sometimes it feels like they are there for racing teams rather than the average rider. The staff comes across as condescending to average riders and Im a rider of many years with many 1000s of miles. Im just not that interested in racing, saving a few grams or spending a fortune on my biking, which seems like a turn off to some of the staff. The nearby Trek store seems much more willing to work with a wide variety of riders.

Kind of snotty if youre not a racer....or if youre female. I went in shopping for a new mountain bike, and although the bike was for me, I had the money, and I am the one who knows about bikes, the salesperson refused to speak directly to me while my husband was nearby and spoke only to him. My husband had to move to another part of the store so that the salesperson would actually answer my questions. Lame.

These guys know their bikes and offer great service though they can come across as a little condescending from time to time. I like the Specialized line, so this is where I go for all things Specialized. They have fixed or diagnosed several problems that other mechanics (out of town) have missed, so my confidence in them is very high. In a perfect world, Id wish their prices were a tad lower.

This place is great. I moved here recently, checked out several bike shops in the area. I have found this one to be the best. I have a road bike and they have serviced it well. One of the repair guys, a young kid, really knows his stuff - is very thorough. Very good fair pricing with high service. I recommend this shop.

I went in to Norcal to get new tires, tubes and a lock. I am new to biking and will be commuting to work on my bike. Josh helped me get everything I need in an efficient manner. He understood what I was looking for and gave me the best options available. I had a great experience at Norcal and will continue to go back.

Solid Local Business with good products, selection and customer service. I have been shopping here in its various ownership for 20+ years. These folks also give back a good amount to their community and promoting cycling as a way of life, not fun and sport!

They have always been very human... perhaps that is unprofessional, and yet, a professional might charge me for used pedals, rather than just getting me back on the road... to me, that type of consummate behavior is authentic goodness.

Just went there for the first time. Sam was the man he explained everything that he was doing to my wifes bike and why Then installed a new bike stem for free. The trek store was going to charge for installation glad I didnt go there.

I have lived in a few different cities and gone to many different bike shops. This is by far the best bike shop Ive ever been to.
