Updating my review to knock an additional star off. I have never had an issue with this mall to date. Sure, sometimes those who frequent it are rude and inconsiderate but that isnt the malls fault. Well, that changed in September 2016. My girlfriend works at this mall, and a friend and I showed up early to wait for her. While wating, we pulled off to a vacant part of the lot to take pictures of my car just for fun. After which we pull around to the front where my girlfriend is going to be...and security flags us down and starts asking us why were there and interrogating us. I say we are just there because we are getting my girlfriend from work, and after a bit she tells us her supervisor saw us on the cameras and deemed us suspicious. What the? She leaves, we get my girlfriend, who is obviously not pleased we were treated the way we were, so she calls in to make a complaint, and the "supervisor" tells her we were investigated because we were seen taking pictures and photography is strictly prohibited. ...which is funny because they had at the time posters slathered all over the place asking people to share their photos with hashtags on Instagram. So which is it, Northridge? Is it prohibited or not? So long as I can avoid it Im never going to this mall again. I thought Del Monte Center would hassle me for the many times Ive waited 8+ hours for her to get off work there, but its never happened.

Very clean but notice a lot of empty retail space. Hello Kitty Sanrio store close, Hot Dog on a Stick close. Theres no Jamba Juice, Banana Republic, Nordstroms, Charlotte Rue, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Hallmark, Jollibee, Pottery Barn, Peets Coffee, Ben & Jerrys, Baskin Robbins 31 Flavors, Johnny Rockets, The Avenue, Sprouts, Whole Foods, Red Robbin Restaurant, Burger King, Taco Bell, Togos, Arbys, REI, Krogers, Blick Art store, Krispy Creme Donuts, Del Taco, Round Table Pizza, The Pizza Guys, Mountain Mikes Pizza, Pizza My Heart, Chipotle, Nation Burger, Golden Corral, Texas BBQ, Sizzler, In & Out Burger, Ghirardelli, Hard Rock Cafe, and there are many mire5 stores that could be near or in the Northridge Mall...just start calling or send invites to get more businesses to lease space in the mall and maybe hi e a move in special or discount for those businesses...so much potential for more

This place has gone down hill over the last year or so. There has been people getting shot outside the parking lot and robbed. The inside is really packed and dirty. If you are the area or visiting youre better off driving 15-20mins and going to Marina Shopping Center (which by the way have a really nice movie theater there) and shopping there instead. Also, you can drive to Sand City Shopping Center or you also have Monterey Del Monte Shopping Center which are 10mins away from Marina. There is also a movie theater at the Monterey Del Monte Shopping Center, and the part I like about this location is always clean, and its outdoors.

First let me begin by saying Ive only visited this mall once on a weekend, so it might have improved. The first experience left a lasting memory for me. While this mall has many stores to offer and is convenient, I did not have a pleasant shopping experience here. As soon as I went in, I noticed there was a horrible smell (like poo) in the hall. When I went by the food court, there were quite a few children running around screaming and unsupervised. Lastly customer service was lackluster at best throughout the stores, and ultimately I didnt find any good items I liked or even good deals. I was ready to go pretty quickly.

Since the purchase of the mall in 2013 by Starwood Retail Partners. The mall has changed a lot. For example new shops like H&M, DSW, Ulta Beauty, Rue 21, and more were added. I like how theres free wifi throughout the mall versus having it at the food court like how it was before 2013. The mall has changed a lot since the 2013 purchase. Just last year the mall relocated the JCPenney store to the west side thus opening way for old former building of JCPenney to be renovated and turn into new shops and restaurants giving people more options. I cant wait for this fall when the new central court opens.

I recently heard that they have been trying to improve this mall. They are in the right direction with it. Bringing in new restaurants, stores and remodeling what is already there. I feel like they can definitely improve this malls image. We ate at the food court yesterday, and it was extremely pleasant. I have high hopes for this mall! Its the only other major mall, besides the one in Del Monte, so theres not much choice as of right now. if you live in Monterey, its a bit of a drive and the parking can be a but crazy sometimes. Other than at, its alright.

Lived in Salinas for years and Northridge Mall was the place to be. Over the years, stores have come and gone. The Emporium logo used to be a huge landmark, but Macys is now the department store of choice in town. I try not to shop there as much now. The brand names have been leaving one by one, and the choice of funeral grey for the exterior seems appropriate for whats happening on the inside. Boutique and local shops are great if theyre selling quality items, but NM feels like a swap meet with more and more vendors selling knock-offs and cheaper goods.

Ha ido cambiando mucho y siempre estan renovándolo y ampliándolo un poco mas. Me encanta la tienda de bath and body works... Por eso voy mucho a ese lugar... Ahora tenemos starbucks... Y me encanta ir también a consumir las bebidas de honey berry!

This is the best mall I have ever been to, I have been living in the side alley for about 2 years now... its great I always find lots of rats in my house but its okay because that is free food for me :) but anyways I think its a good place to rase a family there becasue u have evrything that you need like clothes food and a restroom but the only thing is they dont have a shower but who takes showers anyways

Honestly this mall sucks. Im born & raised in Salinas & Northridge has been getting worse & worse through the years. And these past few years have been rock bottom for them. The only reason I go there is for food from Stonies (HELLA bomb) & one of the Chinese food spots (very inexpensive). I have completely resorted to buying clothes online or drive up to the malls in San Jose.

Its a very nice Mall but a lot of stores are moving around so its been a little confusing lately but it has everything we need since were such a small town rural area. I really like that they redid the movie theater in the back. And for the most part its very clean and the food court is very versatile

If you are looking for a mall you can navigate easily and take your time shopping in peace, go anywhere else. This mall is so crowded it is unpleasent. The bathrooms are disgusting, there are kids screaming everywhere, and you are better off shopping in santa cruz or del monte, or online.
