If I could, I would not give this place one star. My son and his girlfriend purchased a 2014 Chrysler 300 in Septmeber and they have not been able to drive the car not even a good month. This car is the definition of a LEMON! They told us it was under warranty, took it a dealership service center; it did not have the warranty the manager said it has. One of the mechanics that has been working on the car stated it appeared it had been wrecked. The bank is wanting the payments, how can you pay on something that has not worked since buying it. They should be held accountable for this vehicle and we are seriously thinking .about speaking with counsel. For anyone that reads this, PLEASE BEWARE! DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this tricky sales lot. You would be better off at a "BUY HERE PAY HERE" lot. UPDATE: We ended up speaking with the GM Shane, he told my son to call. We call, not once not twice but about four times bout the piece of crap that he tried to purchase from Kia Shoals. He had the nerve to tell me I was giving his business a bad rep! Really? Took it to the Chrysler service center again and they wont touch the car. Called the GM about that, he was suppose to call them and call us back, but guess what. He didnt call back. Theyve lost money for the down payment (more than 1,000), on repairs that the warranty wouldnt cover and now, no car! Hey! Answering your phone Mr. GM! Stand behind your word and products! They have seven days, well now five to figure out a solution to this BIG ASS MESS! I told them they should have shopped local! Does anyone know who the sole owner of this establishment? If so, please forward us this information, it will be greatly appreciated.

My husband bought a car from these crooks on dec.26,2015 as christmas present for our 17 year old daughter... paid a down pay of 1500.00 she drove the car til feb 5, 2016, anas called needed more proof of income, we went back to Kia carried more paperwork...on or around March 22 ,2016 they sent someone to get the car. I called the finance company and kia hadnt sent in the paperwork at all, I got the fax number was told to fax info directly to him . John found this out and called the finance company and told them god only knows what...that financing fell thru. When you pay a down payment and drive a car for 80+ days you would think it was yours,as for down pays Paul told me and my husband that he dips his hands in the pot, he says thats the only way you can make a living working there. Theres a factory in West Point ,GA they will listen to your complaints and follow up on them although they dont own that lot they do have their cars there. Shoals University Kia is a rip off...stay away from them. They even advertise Buy Here Pay Here thats a lie too. I have talked to my attorney I have one more day and step to take and Shoals University will be meeting me in court and if anybody else wants to join me you are more than welcome. UPDATE GM Shane promised to get us another car or give us back our money, we will find out today if his word is any good.

My fiance and I went to Shoals Kia the other day in hopes of winning the free car for their factory promotion. I understand their job is to sell cars and not give them away. We were gullible for even going, but being hopeful around the holidays got the best of me. We told the salesman we were not there to buy and we were just interested in the ad. We won a cruise vacation from them and we fell for it at first, which made us feel like we owed them. Good sales tactic there for sure.(After looking into the cruise, it costs about $200 more per person than booking one ourselves) Two hours later I felt like we were in a hostage situation. They had my fiances keys behind the counter and when we told one man were were not buying a car, hed say he was retrieving the keys but then send someone else over to try and persuade us. Again, I understand this is their job and most of the folks we talked to there were very nice but after such an uncomfortable experience there i wound not go back. I feel since we stated our intentions in the beginning it was disrespectful and a waste of all of our times to try to bully us into purchasing a car.

Theyre willing to work with every customer to bring a great deal to the table. Our car had an unexpected battery issue (it was, also, that years first cold snap, btw) and, instead of sending us on our way, the sales & service department instantly put us in a clean car. And lowered the sales price. They were (and still are) often available to accept phone calls or quick with their response time. Their friendly, knowledgeable, & eager to please staff stays up-to-date on current market value, make and model features, enhancement plans, & expert customer service skills. They are lively, no nonsense employees, devoid of any desperate marketing ploys, and create a professional quality environment. This, along with their easily accessible location, makes them a popular destination for students, younger couples, and the discerning working class buyer. Financing is available, thus its affordable for those starting over or just starting out. Very positive experience!

Purest high ball low ball switch car 5 day late junk salespeople on earth. Gonna sue you and win on punitive damages because you committed fraud and spent my money on a car I did not approve and you broke the law concerning withholding a lien that was requested by the person buying the car for another. Its called fraud to do this and I reported you to Revenue already so well see how it plays out there mate. And the car a valve crasher with high miles to a woman at that. Bet you just disclosed it all on some microfilm in Selma in a cardboard box in some basement. I got a lot more time than I got sense and you need taken down a notch or two. To wit... If I win a punitive damage claim I swear an oath here that every cent of it will go to the Salvation Army I dont want your dirty money.

I bought my wife a 2015 Kia Optima last year. The salesmen were nice, they did their job. However, the part that blew me away and continues to do so is the service department at Shoals KIA. Jarvis Cummings has been great to my wife since day one with service on her vehicle. He is polite and answers any questions she may have. He keeps her car running in top condition which makes me happy seeing as she drives all over the state of Alabama for a living. If you are looking for a reliable, safe car... and you are looking long term, not just a good deal but a great service department to help you maintain your car... I highly suggest Jarvis Cummings and the service department team. Top notch.

We have purchased 2 Kia SUVs in the last 4 years and each time we needed our car serviced we used Kia. Jarvis Cummings has the best customer service of anyone I have EVER dealt with. He always goes above & beyond to make sure I am taken care of even if its just offering an alternative method of transportation if needed. He has always been courteous, professional, honest, informative, & just amazing to work with. As a matter of fact, our latest car was purchased from another university dealership, but I love the service department at Kia so much that I will continue to let them service this vehicle as well. I will never let anyone else service my car other than the Kia service department!!
