I want to share my complaint about CVS Pharmacy at Stratford. The pricing is manipulating and the staffs fail to explain why. Years ago when I was there to refill my mothers prescription, I was told a price double of what I paid for the previous refill 3 months earlier (same year, at same CVS pharmacy). I asked to double check and then was told a lower price but still higher. So I asked to double check again and was told a further lower price but still unexpectedly higher. I asked to double check a third time. This time I was suggested to refill a 30-day supply instead of 90-day supply to get a discount, but the quote was 1/2 of that of a 90-day supply, which is more expensive per pill. I decided to try a non-CVS pharmacy elsewhere and got much better pricing and never return to this pharmacy for my mothers prescriptions. Now I need to fill my own prescription. Because my insurance requires to fill at CVS, I returned to CVS. The first time was fine. The refill 3 month later was quoted 6 times higher price. I asked for an explanation. I was told to contact my insurance company to find out. I didnt have my insurance card with me at the time, so I asked the staff to look up the insurance Co.s phone number so I could call right there. The staff told me their system does not have the insurance companys phone number. Apparently she lied. I think she was either not knowing how to look up (training issue) or unwilling to do it (individual staff issue or unfriendly store policy?? ). I conclude this unfriendly and untrustworthy services at CVS Stratford Pharmacy. Thus one star. I will not return to this pharmacy again. I do not have problems with other departments in the same store, neither at another CVS pharmacy.
