Im a little on the fence about this place. First off can I say EXPENSIVE!!! I love food and will pay money for it, however my experience there was horrible. They had two people there and although they we filling an order, the one girl literally was right in front of me, crouched down (maybe thats where they keep their donuts) was filling an order, the other girl was behind a bakers tray, didnt even acknowledge me. After 5 minutes of standing there, I said hello and she didnt budge or even look up. One girl comes out from behind the bakers tray appeared said good morning. I thought maybe the girl crouched down was either deaf or something else. But once she filled the order, she THEN asked what I wanted. After I told her what I wanted, she repeated the order and yet managed to get three out of the four donuts that I wanted WRONG! First off, Ive been in customer service all my life, I understand that one may not always be the most "happy" or "excited" or plain and simple "not a morning person" however, honestly, if you dont like your job then get out. My experience there was horrible. It kind of put me in a bad mood for the morning people because dont know how to acknowledge people. A simple "Hello, Ill be right with you" would of been fine and "Im sorry would you mind repeating your order". and then to top it all off I spent $11.00 for FOUR donuts. REALLY? FOUR DONUTS?? As I was walking away, I thought to myself, "WTF?? Ive never spent that much on four donuts before but hey hope they better are good!" Got to my office and honestly, they were HORRIBLE. One donut was stale, co-worker said one didnt have cream in it when it said it was Boston creme" My red-velvet, the frosting was bitter like purse your lips bitter! So yeah Im not going there ever again! Im better off at National Bakery even Krispy Kremes seriously! It just sucks that there arent a lot of donut shops in the downtown area, but I will not be going to this place ever again!

When we were planning our wedding over a year ago we knew we wanted doughnuts rather than a traditional cake. We had a few options in the area but we were sold on Holey Moley because of their connection to many other local restaurants (they are “owned" by Hospitality Democracy) and their experience with catering. The contract was simple and straight forward. We were able to pick up a box of different favors (you can do it over the internet which is a plus when you’re on the go) and taste-test at home. We highly recommend planning it so that you pick up your box to try on a Sunday morning — by far the most fun part of wedding planning was trying all the doughnuts! From there we narrowed down the flavors that we wanted (we settled on 10) and shot them an email. Just like that we were done — they had all the information they needed and all that was left was our final deposit. Our wedding guests were blown away but the taste and “idea" of doughnuts (it didn’t hurt that we built an eight foot wall to display them on!) and continued to talk about how “cool” it was to have doughnuts instead of a cake. Everyone we worked with was professional and timely. We will continue to pick up Sunday morning doughnuts but also use them for events (large and small) in the near future.

My wife loves the Doughnuts and i take her there often. I respect the attention to people with gluten sensitivity. However, they sell out of all the popular flavors FAST before 9am most times. The reason for 1 star: I took my wife here at about 8:15 am Saturday April 15th. There was a line of 3 couples in front of us. The couple who was ordering had a young dog on a leash. I dont like animals in places were food is served or sold. The sight of the dog was bothering enough as there was also doughnuts in a dish on top of the display case, no barrier separating them from the dog. The dog was also not well behaved or trained, it was pulling at the leash trying to jump on or run over to us and everyone else that passed by. I dont care for dogs and dont want some ones random dog jumping on me. We will not be a customer of Holey Moley Doughnuts anymore as when the Lady working behind the counter finished ringing the couple up, she asked to pet the dog. After petting the dog she continued to make a coffee for the next costumer WITH OUT WASHING HER HANDS OR PUTTING ON GLOVES! My wife and I were STUNNED and DISGUSTED. Apparently this place is "dog friendly" that may be a positive for some people, but we will no longer be going there.

Not impressed. We went in at 10 oclock on a Sunday morning and there was no line. That was great. The selection was limited. I asked about that and they indicated they had a rotating stock. Understandable. Its a very small shop. I cant imagine what lines are like in that place. Theres almost no seating. The donuts were pricey. We took them home to eat. There was nothing special. Unfortunately the Boston cream donut was less cream inside and more liquid filling and leaked a lot. It wasnt a great experience. It wasnt great food. We wont be back.

I waited in a 30 minute line situated in a cramped area right next to the doors for a below average donut that was obviously made hours ago. They claim to offer all these options, but when I went at 9 am they had sold out of everything but two flavors. Please try to accommodate the crowds you expect to visit your establishment by maybe providing more donuts? Oh, and perhaps think about putting more workers on duty. As far as I could see there was just one person in uniform handling the entire mess of a situation. 10/10 would not recommend.

Craving good donuts. Google in downtown Milwaukee. Bingo. In comparison to some other mediocre reviews, I had no problem with either freshness nor selection on a Thursday morning at 11:00. Staff was quick and friendly (even gave me a compliment on my outfit!?!?), selection was still very good. And the donuts... were... FANTASTIC. Really good donuts. A bit on the pricy side, and the hotel-lobby feel isnt exactly cozy, but if artisan donuts is what youre looking for, Holey Money will hook you up.

Ive finally found a doughnut shop that tops my hometown favorite shop. My top favorites are the Boston Cream (I could go on and on about the chocolate ganache), the Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Glaze (and Im not even Vegan) as well as the Maple Pecan. But the best part is there is always something new to try as they offer new options with the changing seasons. Yes you do need to get there early for the best options - but theres a reason they sell out. Theyre that good!

We heard about Holey Moley from our friend. Vegan donuts in Milwaukee!!! The donuts were super awesomely delicious. We had the choco glazed cake and the PB and J raised yeast donut. They both totally rocked. We also ordered a soy steamer. Loved it. Service was perfect. Bathrooms upstairs were clean and nice. Thanks Holey Moley! Hope youll become a mainstay in Milwaukee and keep cranking out the delicious vegan donuts!
