Our seven year old had been urging us to allow her to get her ears pierced for the longest time - and we finally agreed to get them done for her birthday. I had been given KP&T, as one of two recommendations, by a good friend. I had called the above a few months ago, to get the lie of the land, and spoke with Susin. She was great, very matter of fact, knowledgeable and engaging. We then decided, having been put at ease, that this would be the place to go. Fast forward to today. Long story short, we turned up about a half hour before we believed they were due to close - indeed, the establishment was empty, without anyone insight and we feared that our little one would be disappointed. Just as we were about to leave, a (gorgeous!) Red head appeared on the side walk, smiled and explained that she was hoping to close up early - but when she saw us she returned to open up the shop. We deduced that this must be Susin and I explained that I had spoken with her a few months prior - and apologized for coming down so late. Nothing was too much trouble for this fabulous lady! She could so easily have chosen to ignore us and gone about the rest of her evening - it was, after all, a lovely evening in Kirkland today, leaving us to decided to return at a more convenient time. She was so warm - and fabulous with our daughter - indeed, our whole family! My daughter, when it came down to it, didnt feel a thing! I recalled memories of my own first piercings, (with a shudder!) When I was a few years older than my little girl - and, even allowing for more modern techniques, Susin is a star - can we say quick AND painless?! She even had my daughter laughing and giggling, as she tended to her throughout the entire process! Even a few hours later - not even a hint of redness! Susin even kindly offered, after the required healing period, should we need to, to change out my girls earrings and put in some of her own choice, should we feel too squeamish to do it, ourselves. I have lurked on Yelp, for longer than I can remember - indeed, I had searched for reviews about KP&T, before making my ultimate decision. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am like the proverbial dog with a bone, when it comes to customer service and I was so happy with our experience, that I felt compelled to sign up and share with you all. Finding a company such as a hairdresser, dentist, tattoo artist, nail tech, can sometimes be a "leap of faith" - and more so, when you are entrusting your most precious ones, to the hands of a stranger. You cannot go wrong with Susin. (In fact I fully intend to return myself in the not too distant future to have my tat re-coulred, myself! ; )!

Three months ago I had a cartilage piercing done in Calgary, Canada. It has mostly healed but sometimes hurt so I wanted someone to check it and make sure everything was going fine. I have been cleaning it with salt water and often used H2Ocean after care spray I went to this place and have it checked out. When I explained my situation to the person in charge, she did not even looked at my ear and immediately told me that I was doing the aftercare wrong and that I should be using bactine. That the piercing should not be hurting anymore and that the people that I went to should have done a hoop earring not a stud. She also said that I should take the stud out and replace it for a hoop, something that I was told never to do while healing. While I understand that many of the remarks are based on personal choice, I did not like that her conclusion was based on no visual test or further questioning. She outright condemned the recommendations for aftercare that I was given and criticized their way of making a piercing. A couples of days later I went for a second opinion to another body piercing venue in bellevue. They really took a look at my piercing and commented that it was fine and that it would take 4 months to a year to really heal. They also advised me to continue using salt water to clean and H2Ocean spray. I would not recommend the Kirkland Tatoo Studio to anyone that wants to make a body piercing. I cannot comment on their tattoos because I do not have any experience on it.

I strongly encourage anyone looking for a body piercer to look elsewhere. I went into this business yesterday afternoon to have some questions answered about getting a septum piercing. I wanted the piercing done with a gold infinity ring, but she told me that the rings she had were too small so I asked if she could order one in gold from her jeweler. She told me this was absolutely possible, so I asked to give her my Information so she could contact me after it arrived. After Id asked a few more questions about placement, healing, etc. she tells me that because of the placement I wanted that she thought she could do the piercing with the smaller ring. So I said okay lets go for it. She pierces me, but cant get the hoop in and tried multiple times. Mind you, needle in my face the entire time this is happening and shes simultaneously exclaiming "oh no! Oh crap! Hold on, let me try again!" After 3+ attempts at getting the jewelry in that she assured me would fit, she pulled the needle out and told me she wanted to try again after the bleeding stopped. Instead, I took a refund and left as soon as I was no longer nauseas. To add insult to injury, she never marked my piercing placement, and the puncture wounds in my septum were clearly uneven when I looked at them last evening in the mirror. In all my years of getting body piercings (I have over a dozen from various piercers) Ive never had such a poor, painful, or traumatic experience. PLEASE look elsewhere for your body piercings.

i got my belly pierced here and the lady was so sweet, she talked to me the whole time and the piercing went by hella fast. it was a little crooked, but its almost impossible to get your belly piercings straight and its never been infected. to be honest i didnt do the aftercare either. so i went back to get my tragus pierced and i didnt even feel it!! the same lady did it. hopefully in a few weeks i will get my HCH pierced there as well :D go go go! theyre not very expensive either :) and you only have to be 16 for piercings!

I went to go get my doubles pierced on both ears, so i cant speak for the tattoo artist. However, the woman that does the piercing was phenomenal!! It was all very clean! I was freaking out and being super difficult but she was so patient and understanding!! At first she seems intimidating (on the phone and when you walk in) but she was AWESOME!! Not to mention that it was virtually painless and quick! Both look and feel great!

I am extremely disappointed with this business. They stated they were open from 1-6 pm and there was no note on their door or on their voicemail when we called prior to driving 45 minutes to get there. We showed up and they were closed. There are 3 people currently standing outside their door. This is not how you run a business and I suggest to everyone going else where!
