I do not give reviews, but this is very important for you all to read. Weve been vacationing in Williamsburg, VA for over 5 years. We used to visit Lancaster, PA every year. We love the resort, family atmosphere, quiet town, pleasant people. There are some places that we frequent every year. I have 7 children and they look forward to Cracker Barrel breakfast, Trading Post souvenirs, Goodwill treasures, outlet shopping, Annas dinner menu, Dairy Queen, Yankee Candle sweetness, and the General Store ice cream. This year was no different, we thought, except the General Store was now called Bubbas Ice Cream. When my children and I entered the store and made our way to the ice cream counter, 4 employees stood turned away from us and did not acknowledge us at all. They held their own conversation for over 10 minutes, while we all waited patiently to be helped. My husband, took a seat at a booth with the baby because we were just standing at the counter waiting. I didnt want to be rude and interrupt the "important" conversation and I refuse to draw any negative attention to us. Finally, I just single filed my brood back through the store, out of the door, ages 18yrs-18mos. We were a little disappointed, but we realized we werent as important to them. Even when we began to walk away, no one called after us to see if we needed help or to ask if we found anything we wanted. Surely, one of the employees had to have seen 9 people standing at the counter pointing at ice cream flavors. Our maybe we were all invisible! We went to Dairy Queen and will continue visiting there from here on out.

We were not greeted by the store attendant who was folding T-shirts right inside the main entrance. This was fine since we actually came for ice cream at Bubbas Ice Cream Shack. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, however, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Two young ladies neither acknowledged our presence nor asked to assist us. Instead they continued the conversation they were having when we arrived. My friend actually asked her daughters what they wanted because the workers did not. Danny, the young man, asked my son and I what we would like. He was extremely friendly and courteous. He began dipping my ice-cream and was reprimanded by one of the young ladies who rudely told him it was too large of a portion. I thanked him and we took our ice-cream to the front porch and enjoyed it. Again, the icecream is delicious but the service is poor. If I could, Id give Danny and the ice-cream a 5 star review.

Terrible customer service at the Bubbas Ice Cream shop in the store. Young lady was too busy talking about her personal plans to even great customers and then when asked if I could order she got an attitude. She then gave me the wrong ice cream and when I corrected her and stated if she had been paying more attention she would have gotten it right, to which she replied I was paying attention, I just forgot what you asked for, she once again wasnt paying attention when other people in my group ordered and I stated again she should be paying attention to what she is doing, to a response of her saying Im not even doing this, someone else help them and she stormed off. Completely unacceptable.

Nice little general store with friendly staff and limitless bobbles and trinkets. You can sit outside and enjoy some generously-scooped Eddys ice cream, or browse for gifts, clothes, and local foods. One of my favorite displays was of the U.S. president bobble heads. They had Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, Clinton, Bush, and Trump. I guess all the Obama bobble heads were sold out when I was there. You can also satisfy your itch for confederate flag merchandise. They had flags, mugs, hats, pins, cards, you name it!

This General store has everything youd ever want souvenir-wise. Largest selection of Virginia, Williamsburg, and American history souvenirs in Williamsburg and has a sister store that has even more to choose from. Plenty of snacks and local favorites to choose from, well worth a stop!

Very neat with many trinkets . Ice cream was excellent . Only complaint I have is that there were about 40 items in a place with the wrong price listed below for another lower price. They wouldnt honor it , but overall , they were nice about it

I love this store. Always filled with great little "must haves".... The store clerks are so friendly and helpful. I like to come to Williamsburg for the day just to get away, and this store always puts a smile on my face and ever disappoints.

Typical souvenir shop but quite large with Bubbas ice cream shop in the rear of the store. Ice cream is very good albeit a little expensive (some places offer a BOGO card for here which makes the price quite reasonable ) .

A nice souvenir shop with the expected offerings. Id like to see some more local made products. Value was moderate, the peanuts I wanted where actually $2 cheaper at our hotel lobby shop.

Store full of a whole lot of nothing. Want a mug with your name on it? Yup, they got it! Keychain? Yup, that too. Candy? Uh huh. Cheaply made toys? Bingo! Fake jewelry? That too........

A lot of fun to look around, but way overpriced. If you are looking to kill a half hour or so, this is the place.
