PC Laptops have an excellent service and parts replacement policy. I will certainly recommend them to anyone who has neither the mind nor time to deal with their computer problems, or to anyone who has constant issue (such as my sister). The workers here are excellent, courteous and friendly. I certainly cant explain how nice it is to drop of your computer and have someone else just fix it. To anyone tech savvy, has the time or mind I would not recommend this. Most other sites have decent warranties and trouble shooting programs. Youtube is also excellent, and the money you will save for as good of a rig, is rather nice. I say this only because in the years that I have built my own computer, I have not had nearly as many problems as I have had in the year of owning my PC Laptop. When purchasing a rig, you are certainly pushed to buy the most expensive and up to date rig. I felt that I wasnt having much of a choice in what I could do or put into it. After some talking to they were able to find a used year old rig that I would have to purchase right then and there. That one was less over my price range. Again pressured to buy. On anything routine or updating, they have a pretty quick turn around. A day or two to make sure everything is clean and up to date. You can do this on your own (heck, some makes like Nividia does it for you now) and I can do it in a couple of hours. Anything problematic takes far more time. They do a decent first come first serve queue. However for my problems at the beginning I felt taken advantage of as it took far more time to diagnose and get back to me. Later now that Ive spent lots of time there they just put me at the front of the queue (albeit its for the same reoccurring problem). You over pay for parts. Certainly thats how they make their money, ensure your life time warranties and you do get good parts. Well, I havent at least. In seven years of building my own I have only had to replace a part, a motherboard. In the year with PC Laptops Ive replaced two bad wifi cards, new processor and hard drive. The parts are all now running well, and Im certain I was just a fluke. Over the past year of owning this computer I have problems connecting to the internet. In this day and age that is huge considering most games now are solely online. I have had several issues with it connecting and just not getting data back. This would happen at several different internet ports and would not happen in store. Kind of spooky. Finally a year later it does fail for them and two wifi cards later its running alright. Im still expecting issues in the next couple of weeks. Theyve never really seen this issue before, so Im again probably just a fluke of an experience. I traded in my tower (which was just as fast as the laptop) for some upgrades. I figured a whole good running computer for a part, that with their supposedly good upgrading service would bring the cost down. I was shocked at the price of $275 for just an i5 processor which on other sites now is only $185 (I checked Newegg for tower processors as this price is triple the mobile processors) To get an upgrade for processor and another solid state (although I would have rather a larger disc drive) would run me $375. After getting the parts in and both failing (costing more time in shop) finally a good solid sate was in. I paid a large $300 for it, understanding then that I would only have $75 left. Over a month later finally they got in a processor for me but charged me $220 for it. I double checked that with them but it just passed over. Obviously I feel overcharged and had to wait far too long. If you go in wanting to put down tons of money for a top of the line rig and excellent customer service I would recommend this to you. As for me, Im just fed up with all the issues and costs, I wish I could just get my money back and try somewhere else. Too much bad luck here for me, but if you do choose them I wish you the best of luck, they really are the nicest.

Not a good experience. Took my main business computer in to be fixed since i didnt have the time to troubleshoot and fix myself. The free 5-10 minute evaluation consisted of the tech literally removing the case and poking a screwdriver around and then telling me my computer was old and cheap and i needed to buy one of theirs. I finally got him to plug the comp into a monitor and keyboard and boot it up to *actually* diagnose the problem. He said it looked like a virus to him so i asked for them to wipe the hard drive and reinstall the os to get rid of it. I told him 3 times this was extremely time sensitive since it was my businesses only computer. 3 business days later it was still untouched and my technician had the day off. They gave me some line about how the tech was running scans and trying to get the virus off my hard drive but it was "being stubborn" this is bs because if youre completely wiping a hard drive and reinstalling the virus is gauranteed gone so there is no reason to do scans etc. (thats why i requested it!). Anyway, i finally just told them to give me the computer and i took it to another shop that did the wipe and reinstall in 3 hours and for 30% cheaper. In conclusion, they seem to not care about repairs at all and spend most the time just trying to sell you one of their computers and they are incredibly slow and seemed indifferent toward my time sensitive situation each time i called. Also, the prices are very high (repair and new comps) even with a lifetime parts and labor warranty (and i wouldnt want them touching my comp anyway after my experience). At that price you could buy the same computer somewhere else twice and still come out ahead. (not exaggerating here)

I took my PC in for a diagnosis and paid for a rush diagnosis as I had school. They accurately identified the issue (my power supply died and damaged the mother board). That was great. The issue is I have now been getting calls on my cell from PC laptops. Caller ID shows it as a location in Clearfield, UT, but the rep said he was from the South Jordan location (they dont have a south Jordan location). He was wanted me to grant him access to my computer for a "diagnostic", which means allowing him to remote into my computer with full access to my hard drive. THIS is where the two star comes from. This is the second or third call from PC Laptops about this. Be prepared to give them a burner phone number unless you want them blowing up your phone so they can get access to your PC so they can, I assume, charge you for basic maintenance that you can do yourself for free. Update: on 24 November 2015 I got another call from these guys. They were calling about my review. These guys dont have any common sense. I leave a review about them consistently calling and harassing me during work, so they then call me at work and harass me at work about the review about them calling and harassing me at work! Seriously, if you are lonely and just want someone to talk to, take your computer here because you will always have someone to talk to on the phone after that. This is now the third time I have had to tell these guys to purge my data from their databases and halt all contact with me. One star for being morons. You guys remind me of a stalker ex, get some therapy.
