This is my favorite store in San Marcos. Most of the employees know me by name and I can go in and chat with them about all the latest in games forever. It has a superb selection of all systems, new and old. I find the prices to be extremely reasonable. Some of these games are over 20 years old and they arent making any more of them, so of course they are valuable. They test all the games to make sure that they work and have a great return policy. On the newer items they tend to be at the same price as Game Stop or other stores, but I always go here because of the excellent service. If you want a blast from the past then this is the store for you.

Visited this store twice since I moved here a few months ago. Walking in, you could feel the old school retro vibe. The pricing was somewhat reasonable compared to other game stores with buying and trade ins. The only thing that ruined the experience both visits were how the employees seemed so disconnected and uninterested in their job. I tried striking up a coversation with them while waiting on my trade ins to be priced, but all I got were barely audible "Yeahs and Cool." After the pricing, I told them Id like to look around. They both seemed annoyed as I started to look, so I just grabbed my stuff and left. Customer service at its finest.

I walked in about an hour before closing, trade-ins in-hand. I come about to a guy spraying/wiping glass counter. He doesnt acknowledge my presence, or even look up. He continues cleaning for three minutes before saying, "whats up". I could tell by his mannerisms and how he spoke to me that he just didnt want to be there for some reason. I felt like I got the cold shoulder. I now bypass this location to stop at the ones in Austin. I will not be back to this one.

i went to Gameover with my granddaughter who loves the older video games and found that the prices were extremely reasonable nowhere else will you find better prices for OLDER video games than here. Even on eBay and Amazon there is still shipping and handling to pay. But here i get the older games like Donkey Kong for the original GAMEBOY at a reasonable price.

Ive been a few times. They have a decent selection, but dear Lord their prices are high. I can understand needing to make a profit, but when your prices are 25-30$ more for the same product I can get up the road or on Amazon.... You are doing it wrong. I guess I understand why Ive always been the only person in the store when I visit.

One of the best places for used video games, consoles, handhelds, and accessories. The prices are fair, and the staff are friendly. They carry classic games, items, and hard to find favourites (whenever they can), and they also support local artists by carrying some of their work in store. I got my favourite earrings here!

Most Game stores Ive been to are so overpriced but Game Over is one of the more fair game store I have ever been to. The Staff is also awesome. Friendly, Helpful, and their suggestions alway rock! Has just about everything you could want for older gaming systems and memorabilia. Its fun to go and check out all the games and consoles I used to play and had and have. Prices are reasonable for the most part. And the staff has always been great and helpful. Will keep going back for sure.

My favorite place to go for my gaming needs. Slightly upset I couldnt find the game Ive been looking for for years but I already knew it would be almost impossible to find it in a store. The staff is always friendly and I have never had a problem with them since I moved to town 2 years ago.

Great selection of games from super Nintendo and up. Got a N64 here a couple of years ago. They even warranty the games and controllers. The only place to buy classic games.
