Im so sick of having to deal with these jerks just to get some turmeric, fenugreek, red lentils, etc. They are so ridiculously bad at customer service. Even the Indian students here hate having to deal with them. I just called the and asked how much the methi is, and the wife said, "No, Im with a customer." I said Id hold and she just said, "Its approximately $3." I said, "For what size of a bag." And she scoffed and hung up. Are there ANY options online that are good? If I buy it from an American store its even less fresh and even way more overpriced. They cant put 2 and 2 together, that in America, you have to be nice to your clients. (This is not a reflection on all Indians.) And they are obviously posting the only good ratings on here, since most of them are by "A Google User." They are scam artists and add stuff to the price if you are American. - Erin Pena

Its a pity that there are so few stores in Lubbock selling Indian products, because I quite dislike this store. Many items dont have price-tags on the food items, but that is common to many asian food stores. The shop owner wont even bag the food items I buy, but instead simply chucks a plastic bag at me. The owners wouldnt accept a return of an item that was not opened and purchased only 2-3 days earlier (it was not a perishable item). If you pay in cash and the total cost includes 90-something cents, the owner will more than likely not even have the courtesy of offering to return your change. He will just assume you dont care about the few pennies and that you would like to donate them to him. Overall, I think this store has very poor service and is not very trustworthy, but maybe some competition will help him clean up his game.

Yes this guy and his wife are so rude. I was so shocked when I saw that he put a price on the small sample packets which are supposed to be free and come with a product, how wrong is that! When you ask the wife something the only thing she can say is "I dont know" Then why are you even there!? And yes they will add extra $$$$ to whatever they can, they really dont care about the customer all they care about is making that extra buck somewhere even if its unjustly done. If you cannot be nice to your customers and act crazy cheap lets see what happens if someone else opens another Indian store down the road someday with better customer service! Everyone will run over there. -Wife of Dr. S

Unfortunately there are only 2 stores that sell Halal meat in Lubbock (Except for lamb that you can find at Sams or Costoco). This store is not clean, the prices are expensive, the meat is old and discolored. He adds 1$ to each frozen pack of meat whatever its price is! So if you buy 5 little trays of frozen meat you will pay an additional 5$! He calls it shipping cost! I wish someone would report him!

The owner and his wife have excellent ethics. Always, they put their effort to satisfy the customer. I requested a special tee from the owner; when he went to Dallas, he looked for it in many stors, unfortunately he didnt find it; because he didnt find it he apologized. I recommend customers to visit this store. I give it five stares.

The cashier woman is always distracted with music videos and doodling on her hands. They never greet nor do any of them have manners. Also, many items in the store are expired and they overcharge those who look naive. Always look at your reciept. Other than that its nice to have products that Id otherwise have to get from Dallas.

Its a good place to get the Asian - Indian groceries in Lubbock. The owner and his wife are very helpful to the customers. They even offer a ride to shop at their place if required. Overall, a nice store and the quality of the products is good. So I gave it a 5 star rating.

Expensive compared to buying at Dallas. Keep an eye on the expiry date for everything you buy. They do keep food on the shelf that are past expiry. Rice cost a lot more here than the same brand at Costco. The shopkeepers are sometimes cordial and sometimes not so cordial.

Fresh vegetables arrives on Friday, "Gopi" dahi is good tastes like Desi curd. I used Gits Dosa ready mix, very easy to use. Overall happy with having the items that attach me to traditional foods. I didnt like the quality of some spices like cloves.

Went there a lot of Times . It has most of the Indian stuff you need . The owner is a very friendly guy . Definitely recommend people to go there especially now since they have moved to new place which is better than the previous one .

An owner who seems openly proud of the fact that his customers have no other option, and arbitrarily tags prices on his items. Sadly, he is right about the options part. Why cant walmart just keep some frozen ready to eat asian food..
