Ive been going to this place with my Fiancé for about 3 years. Its about an hour drive but we have always loved our couple excursions. I enjoy trying to find an interesting knick knack or suit jacket, and she loves finding a set or shoes or a new top. But yesterday on our town excursion looking for a pool, we decided to stop in and have a look around. Now at first, me noticing I was nonchalantly being followed by an employee, I brushed it off, as I was doing nothing wrong. My fiancé tried on a few tank tops to see if they fit well enough for yoga, and decided she would go with them. Upon check out we were approached by an employee who proceeded to accuse my fiancé of stealing a sweater, a sweater, in 90 degree Texas weather. Now for reference, this is my soft spoken, 5 foot tall, heart bigger than the United States, high anxiety, doesnt even take a paid-for drink in a store so they dont they think she stole it, works her ass off in a job she has been working her way up since a teenager, bought her own car with her own savings with no help from anyone, asks no one for anything, and cares too much of what people think of her, sweet heart of a fiancé I met and have loved each since i was 13. Now at first we were taken aback. But the employee refused to drop it, as she confronted us at the register, that we were currently paying for our items mind you, because she "saw what we did" and "saw a tag fall from her purse" My fiancé very composed and politely, offered her bag to be searched, but the employee refused, walking away saying "its ok, but I saw what you did". And I can vouch, as I patently sat on the bench waiting for her to finish trying on her three tank tops and regular black top, like any good significant other, that she did not try on a sweater, and put back two of the tops that didnt fit before going to check out. Needless to say, she cried the entire way home, hurt and confused that this rude lady could have possibly thought she stole something. and confronted her in such an upfront manner, when she had done nothing wrong. I wish I were not such a good person, because I would to have loved cussing her out at her sheer lack of evidence and derogatory tone. I then tried calling to get her name to report to corporate, but met a mess of hotlines that led to no where. Im not a very religious person, but I will pray every day for her to get fired, or a hard smack of karma to hit her, for merely hurting my saint of a woman. I highly doubt we will be returning anytime soon.

Me & my husband come into goodwill about 4-5 times per week & have for the past year or so. We have always enjoyed our visits & some of the "finds" we have gotten. The atmosphere has always been light, friendly, "small townish", & very pleasant. All the people we have come across working there have been great! There are a couple that really stand out though. One is a gentleman ( I dont know his name) probably in his mid 30s, short & stocky with an absolutely outstanding personality!! He radiates happiness, excitement, energy, & true caring for all the customers he comes across. Ive seen the young man hug older women (obviously to comfort them) & to have a human bond with them (all the ladies seem to truly enjoy his hugs)! He totally lights up the entire store with his presence and character! He has been an absolute joy & blessing to watch work with the community & obviously touch many lives while conducting his work! The reason for this "disappointing" score is because I heard from other customers I see there often that this young man is no longer "allowed" to do these amazing things anymore because his store manager said he needs to stop talking to customers & do more tasking. This deeply saddens me & my husband to the core. I have seen him since & he has been very stand offish with the customers & does not interact with them like he used to. This tugs at my heart considerably & this is why I write this. Im not sure who his store manager is (Kerrville) but he needs to understand that it is great & outstanding customer service that brings the community inside those doors!! And this young man did a wonderful & outstanding job at exactly that, & now he is being forced not to do these things he does with an honest and loving heart. This manager must not understand or care about the lives this young man changes each & everyday! He has changed mine & I dont even know his name! He was able to restore faith in people, with love, compassion & understanding.

The store is cleaner than other Goodwill stores Ive been in but this one is small-ish. Dont expect a huge variety due to its small size. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Im disabled and they offered to get someone to carry my bags for me. I didnt donate anything while I was there but I witnessed someone else donating. The staff helped unload the guys truck and was very careful with the mans vehicle and the donation itself. 4 stars because for a store built from the ground up in that location, it couldve been bigger.

Typically very clean and well organized. Not sure who prices things, though because some things are WAY too pricey, unless you hit them on the color sale. Its not like they have any money in the items they are selling.

You can find some really nice stuff .everyday is always something new thats been put out .not junk stuff nice stuff and friendly most of the time and they have color days half off .

Even though it is in an old building, it seemed a lot of effort was made to keep it clean and organized. Staff were attentive to their customers.

Ok as its just a thrift store, some of the staff suck and could have better attitudes but I guess thats anywhere you go now days.
