My Sunday adventure began at Cracker Barrel on Bowen and 20. Lets give Pros first: the waitress was friendly and prompt. Even with a full house of hungry customers, the service was ok. Smiles and what can we get you? The Campfire Beef and Campfire Chicken want to try it? This where the Cons came in, maybe we shouldve taken heed when we noticed some of the cooks leaving as we were entering the restaurant. We ordered deviled eggs (dont even if your life depends on it). The eggs looked appetizing but it tasted like paper and paste. We had to send it back. Finally the entrees of the front of the menu arrived, Campfire Beef and Campfire Chicken... Yes! No, no and oh no. Clearly the chicken and beef were overcooked. As well as the corn, the remnants of the sliced tomato and sliced onion... Ok so why arent our plates looking like the pictures on the menu. So our question to the manager was why didnt the plate remotely resemble the entree on the menu. The manager stated that they had got a shipment in of vegetables they did not fit the what was shown on the menu. Sadly out of all my years of coming to Cracker Barrel, this was the first time I could say I shouldve passed on Sunday dinner here. If you dont believe what Im saying just look at the picture that we took of the beef. My finally words on this is of disappointment and dismay... I truly feel like we were guinea pigs to sample food that was left on the campfire over night. Yes while the customer service was good... The devil in the details was apparent in the eggs, chicken, beef and vegetables... at best throw that food in a barrel label "garbage". Better luck next time.

I go here for my mom. It is not a place I really like, you walk in and are surrounded and crowded by everything they want to throw down your throat to buy. The tables are too close together and there lunch specials are 7.99 or something and you get one pork chop lol. One small pork chop, give me a break. I have to fight tooth and nail for bread. I had to fight to get a chicken fried steak sandwich made. He said we dont sell those. I said you server hamburgers right, he said yes. I said you serve chicken fried steak correct, he said yes. I said how bout if you throw one of those chicken fried steaks between two hamburger buns, then you have it. I had to actually speak to a manager to get it made.I only go back for mom, I would rather have Cotton Patch, where the servings are the correct size.

My first time here today. I love the atmosphere, very country. I got the rasberry ice tea bc my sister recommended it. It was a bit tangy. She said its usually good but it was different today. I got the cracker barrel country boy breakfast. With the pork chops. It was delicious. Loved it. Had that home cooked taste. Pancakes were off the hinges. With warm syrup and butter yum. Our server was very nice. She checked on us alot. When we first got here, we had to wait for 15 mins. It was a bit crowded. We waited outside where they have rocking chairs lined up against the wall with chess games. It was kinda hot but I didnt want to go wait inside with my young kids bc of the store area. We went here on a Sunday at around 1ish. The staff in the store area are all so nice too.

Love the atmosphere!!! Great summertime menu specials!! Love their Sweet Freshly Brewed Blackberry Ice Tea. We ordered the homemade chicken and dumplings platter. Vegetables were steamed perfect! Great customer service. We asked for a quiet area to be seated and the hostess was very sweet and professional in changing our seating. This location has everything you need for a little Beach Decor and July 4th attire!! We bought adorable matching shirts and I found a perfect red, white & blue headband to match my shirt!! We were soooooo stuffed; ordered the summertime blueberry & raspberry cobbler served with ice cream to go!! Yummy! We will definitely be returning in the future.

We are extremely upset with the wait policy. weve been coming to the Arlington location for years as loyal customers. 2 out of our party of 6 were only 5 minutes behind and when attempting to inform the hostess girls, they were very rude and not very pleasant and told us their policy states that our wait time starts all over again. What an awful way to conduct business especially long time loyal customers that are or were like family until this mess. very disappointed in this location and I dont think well be visiting this location again. unacceptable

When my family and I arrived to the restaurant we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our waiter was very friendly and nice (Julian). However, once we ordered our food he informed us that they were out of a lot of food items. Julian offered us various options due to them not having the items we desired. The sodas were flat and we were told they were out of lemonade and soda. The staff at the register apologized for not having various items. As an out of town guest I will never return to this restaurant.

I ordered the roast beef with said generous portion it came to me as a very small portion said something to the waitress she said they always get complaints went in and got another portion and brought it out to me when we checked out the bills that 2586 and when it rang up it was $33.89 I would say that would be deceptive trade in my opinion and I dont write them any stars whatsoever other than the service was good when we spoke to the manager he looked at me like I was an idiot

Came during peak rush for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Very crowded, but the host was very accurate about wait times. Once seated, we were promptly given menus and requested drinks. Order was taken quickly, and food came out surprisingly fast. Meal and price were spot on. This place can be VERY chaotic, but they seem to have it down to a science when dealing with it. Would recommend.

It will take you back in time,of childhood days with products for sale ,like old fashion design clothing, nick knacks, down to candy I havent seen since I was a kid . Prices , could be alittle more tolerable, and the noise is crazy... with laughter and families and friends having a great time over breaking bread...
