Pack Rats is a thrift store with Used And New items sold at reasonable prices. They only accept cash here and the store may appear to be a junk store but that is far from the truth. For those with a discerning eye, there are treasures around every corner with prices that match the amazing finds. The store seems extremely disorganized due to the massive amount of items, yet Margo and Shirley make it work. There area common to extremely rare collectibles in the back of the store (comics, sports memorabilia, cards, knives, leather items, antiques of all kinds, books, DVDs movies records tapes games CDs galore). They have also built on an additional furniture and large item warehouse next door with antique wood sugar chests, console record players, hutches, China cabinets! Modern residential and commercial cooking appliances,and great deals on all of it. :) Make sure to ask about their new auctions too. There are quite a few items without pricing on them, yet the owners are glad to assist when needed. One of my wifes favorite places for clothes, shoes, and housewares, and is one of my favorite places to pick up collectibles and odd items. Great for gifts too. You wont be disappointed at pack rats...unless you are in a rush... But if that is the case, why come to Hohenwald in the first place? Namaste.

We always stop here when we visit Hohenwald. Never know what you will find! Friendly staff, Cash only, be preparred to dig! Most of the shop is pretty unorganized.
