This is a very late review for two items which one was purchased by myself (c96 Mauser Broomhandle) and the other was a friends purchase (M1 rifle). The C96 was advertised as only missing small parts but when I received it the frame, barrel/slide, stripped bolt, along with the horrible shot out barrel and deep pitting everywhere. I think it was 450$ 5 years ago but for something like what was sent was worth maybe 200$ at best. Friends M1 Garand next: The rifle was around 600-700 4-5 years ago as well and it was complete but it was all shot out. That was not the big problem as they nearly took 3 months shipping it to his FFL after he sent and paid his money. A guy in our ww2 reenactment unit actually cornered me asking if this place was a scam as I recommend this place (which I really shouldnt of but everyone deserves a second chance) about what was going on. He sent all his FFL information and the place which would transfer the gun never got anything from them until 4 months and several calls did it come. Now Im reading other comments about this place, two seem to be just like what both myself and my friend had. I will never recommend this place to anyone as its just one giant place which sells the bottom of he barrel hulks that they strip every useful part to sell you separately.

Do not buy from these people!! Wish I would have read reviews before making the mistake of buying from them. I bought what was advertised as a colonial era musket from them. I wasnt exspecting something in pristine condition by any means, However, What I got was an absolute piece of junk! Looks like it had been buried in the ground for the last hundred years. Stock was rotted out and broken in several places. All metal was completely rusted. Totally worthless even to hang over a mantle. Called to request return authorization and was given one but told there will be a 20% restocking fee as well as no refund only store credit. I asked them how can they stand behind this "junk" and was told "Well we do stand behind our products". I asked If thats the case then why not refund my money and was told "we dont refund your money just issue store credit". Basically saying screw you. Do not purchase anything from this place. I lost $130, you dont need to do the same.

Ive had two experiences with Hunters Lodge Corp. and both have been positive, well almost. Several years ago I purchased an antique Spanish Mauser and it was shipped to my home without a hitch. Just this year, in April to be exact, I sent them a check for an antique Peruvian Mauser. I waited and waited for my rifle to arrive and nothing. I started calling and emailing to inquire about my rifle and every time I was given a different answer. After numerous calls and emails I finally told them Im a retired cop who had no problem taking legal action if I didnt receive my rifle or my money back. Well, my rifle arrived yesterday and I could not be more delighted with it. The rifles wood is beautiful and most of the metal has strong bluing. They explained to me that they were back-ordered on other items. Im happy with my Mauser and willing to give Hunters Lodge a fair shake.

I have done business with Hunters Lodge Corp. before, and was always satisfied with their customer service until recently. The last time I did business with them, they gave me the run around quite a few times. Over the period of 4 months, I was told that my order had been sent, not sent, that I needed to send more money, and was treated rudely by each person I talked to, even hung up on at one point by a manager. In the end, I had to go through a third party mediator to get my order completed, and received half my original order and some money back. I do not recommend doing business with them unless it is in person.

After reading some of the reviews, I was nervous about placing an order, but Im glad I did. I sent them a check and two weeks later received a well-padded, nicely packaged rifle stock. No complaints at all, and I will be doing business with them in the future.

BEWARE!!! This business grossly misrepresents their products. Did not receive what I ordered. Tried to rectify the problem & was treated by a rude, belligerent woman. They do not take credit cards, so once they get your money...kiss it goodbye!
