One can be hopeful, but even with hope things can still not come true. My hope, once the renovations began, was that the old, trashy, and unorganized Walmart would raise to at least the quality of the Newport version, and I honestly dont think it improved at all. First off, the renovation. Im curious to know why the entire Galleria Mall would change its exterior color scheme to match Walmart, then a month later Walmart changes to the former color of the mall. Makes no sense. With the renovation they installed new point of sale systems, that are available until about 10:00, when all automated systems are shut down, which left me looking for the installation of additional cashiers, but that never happened, so I guess take 1 step forward 2 steps back. The staff is continuously doing nothing, while aisle after aisle, after aisle (all of them) are left in a unorganized state. Something you would never see at Target. The staff is usually pretty rude, except for the lady who has night stocked the pharmacy for the past few years, in her case its always a smile. The stores hours are limited, closing at midnight and opening at 6am. Very interesting business strategy considering the 5th largest city in the state of South Carolina doesnt have a late night shopping option, unless you drive 20 minutes across town, or to Fort Mill. Yes Ill go back, and yes, I did give this Walmart a 1 star review, but what other option do I have? Oh yea, Amazon.

I rarely shop at the Wal-Mart in Rock Hill, SC anymore. Let us forget for a moment that the pharmacy takes forever, I always have to wait in line for at least 20 minutes, I cant find anything, and they are constantly discontinuing items I regularly purchase. The final straw was two nights before Christmas last year when I was standing in line for the self checkout and this employee came over and closed them down at 10pm. This caused all of us to have to get in line at one of the two registers open which already had long lines. I was buying a dvd and come to the front because the line at the electronics section was so long. The employee was adament that they must close them down at 10pm. I dont care about that but there should have been some provisions made for the volume of customers shopping. Its not like this was an unforseeable surge...December 23rd is busy for most stores. I put the stuff down, went to Target and bought the same dvd for $4 less in ten minutes. I was speaking to an employee at the register in the garden department who was ready to get off. She said she would get in trouble if she stayed over but nobody ever comes to relieve her. WTF?

absolute garbage. store is dirty. stood in back at pickup counter to pick up an order that was supposed to be there at 10am, never got a confirmation email. so at 6pm i had enough waiting and showed up. stood there for thirty minutes waiting for service, while employees continually looked at me and walked past me, acting like a bunch of animals at the zoo hooting and hollering and rapping. finally got service from a large blonde older lady ( a manager i believe) her attitude was absolutely vile, right from the start i did not like her tone, you could tell she thought she was superior to common folk, and could not give me an answer as to what was going on except that "it may still be on the truck" at this point im ill enough just from looking at this bratty lady and being given the runaround, and she starts saying "im not continuing this conversation anymore" in a bratty, spoiled tone of voice, all i wanted to know is what could be done to rectify this, whether they had one or a similiar one on the shelves. this woman needs to be fired!

Purchased 2 Reach dental floss. There were several more hanging from the same hanger on the shelf that clearly showed 97¢ but at checkout, they rang up as $3.50 each. Went back to the oral care section, verified price and took a picture. Then spoke with customer service, showing the receipt and picture to Mrs. Octavia. She told me they could refund up to a dollar of the $3.50 but not the whole $2.53 ($5.06) overcharge. I went to the customer service desk where Mrs. Catherine went to Mrs. Octavia. I asked for a manager but was ignored. Mrs. Octavia sent another employee to check the shelf, he came back and confirmed the 97¢. Mrs. Octavia told Catherine to offer me just a refund. I rebutted referring again to the price and she ended up refunding one and reducing the other. You have to review your receipt before you leave, Walmart is ripping us off $ here $ there right under our noses!

This walmart is terrible in customer service. I know that most walmarts are, but this one is just the worst Ive been in. During the holiday season the shelves were not marked w/ prices, and the ones that were had the wrong prices on them. 2 items that I got were marked $5.97, and when I went to the register they rang up $9 and some change. I told the cashier and she looked accusingly at me and very rudely asked, "you want me to price check this?" I just said no, and told her I didnt want to purchase them. Even when I spoke to management about the situation they just brushed me off. The lines are usually very long. You have to allow at least 15 min.s line time. (Its even slower during normal times of year.) I do not come to this walmart unless I absolutely have to, I would rather pay more somewhere else for some genuine customer service and less line time.

ABSOLUTELY THE MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCED. When I called to ask a simple question, the lady answered rudely, as I asked to speak with someone in the department I needed, I was placed on hold for a little over 10 minutes. I hung up an called back hoping to speak with someone whom could help me but there supposedly wasnt anyone in the department I needed service in... well as the woman on the phone stated "AINT nobody over there," an when I asked to speak with a manager instead she continued with "AINT nobody here, its just me and ____ an she aint gonna wanna come to the phone." So I hung up very disappointed. Please tell me why there isnt a manger working ? Obviously they cant run the store themselves with only 2 people.... lacking customer service horribly an I highly doubt Ill be back.

I called about what i thought was a pretty simple question that took way to long to get an answer for, which ended up being an "Im not sure". The store will no longer price match their own website, which i dont fully understand. They had the item in stock and I had to place the order online for in store pick up just to get the reduced price. I then had to wait in order to be able to get the item i needed, causeing me to be late for work. I would have usually just paid the difference, but a $15 discount seemed worth the effort to put the order in, i was just unaware it would take so long to pick up since the website said same day. I figured i could get there and they would go get my item if they hadnt already. It was a very poor experience all around, and it should have been very simple.
