My credit card had been cancelled due to not being used for a few years. When I asked store manager to find out how soon can i get new card, neither did he give me phone number, nor was he willing to call head quarters. At my insistence he called but did not get full details of my questions. When I asked his colleague to give me his name (he had gone to the back of the store), she tells me she does not know his name because she started only yesterday! In todays retail environment where brick and mortar stores are closing and where companies are offering incentives to open credit card accounts, what is this store manager thinking? More experienced person would have bent over backwards to do this for me! I guess he is perhaps a high school grad or just out of college. Only because companies do not find experienced people, they end up hiring such novices that can lose a customer (I have been shopping there for 20 years!) in less than 5 minutes. By the way there was only one customer in the store! Never would I expect such bad customer service at Brooks Brothers. It is considered the gold standard of mens and womens clothing. Would I go back there? I wonder, since Ralph Loren is next door.
