Giant Eagle is very similar to any grocery store. It has the normal foods and items you would find in any grocery store. You can buy beer and wine at this Giant Eagle. The selection of bottled beer is decent but not overly interesting or rare. I do not know much about wine so I am not equipped to judge the selection. The store does have beer taps and the selection is usually fairly interesting. The overall selection of foods is good. The bakery is very good and I have gotten very good bread from here. The deli selection doesnt have anything beyond the normal selection but does cover all the essentials. Their international selection is okay and has some interesting items. I have two complaints about the store. The first complaint is how often they move items within the store. While I feel this happens at any store and understand why stores do this, it is very frustrating. I do all the shopping for my family, and I am almost constantly frustrated when I cant find something I am looking for. Sometimes the item has been moved to different aisle. The second complaint I have is the organization of the store. It doesnt make a lot of sense. For example, before Giant Eagle re-organized the store all of their international items were in one aisle. After the re-organization, one aisle has Italian and Asian items and another has everything else. The two aisles are next each other but why split them.

Im not a big fan of Giant Eagle as a company, but this is a new location with decent produce. The prices are a little high, but are in line with other Giant Eagle locations. The selection is good because the store is huge, and they have plenty of non-grocery store items in here as well. The layout of the store makes no sense, however, and youll agree once you move beyond the produce into a section of the store that has random aisles perpendicular to the rest of the store as well as a giant open space where they just kind of stack drinks and other products. On the upside, there is a a small beer distributor attached to the store but there are all types of rules to buy beer there: (1) you can only buy one case at a time. you can buy multiple cases, but you have to literally make a trip to your car in between the purchase of each case. (2) you can not bring purchased beer into the rest of the store, you have to immediately take it to your car so this has to be done at the beginning of your shopping trip or at the end after you have already brought your groceries to your car. (3) they have to tag every bottle of beer you buy with a sticker if you do a mix 6-pack so hopefully you do not collect bottles or bottle caps.

Weve been shopping at this location SINCE they OPENED & shopped at the Rte 8 Store since they OPENED there in the Mid 80s. GIANT EAGLE has always been a GREAT STORE to make that much needed stop at. Either its that BIG SHOPPING trip for the week or that FORGOTTEN lil item that you need for a DINNER or PICNIC at the park. The MANAGERS & the EMPLOYEES are ALL Hard-Working people & arent afraid to HELP YOU if & when you ask for their HELP!! If they could just STOP REARRANGING that BIG Store & leave it ALONE for awhile, or START giving out MAPS!! lol

I requested a donation of 10 small pie pumpkins for a charity event I am holding. The manager of the store said that my request had too high of a cost. He offered me a 25 dollar gift card for me to put towards the purchase of the pumpkins. I am appalled that a local business like Giant Eagle cannot donate 10 pumpkins to children in need. I have no desire to spend my money there. I went to McTighes Market on Route 8. They were more than happy to help my cause. They donated the pumpkins. Thank you McTighes Market!

This store is simply amazing! I have been all over the nation and lived in multiple states and Giant Eagle takes the cake for most user friendly, affordable, and pleasant grocery chain. There Market District stores are exceptional, but this new 93,000 sq. ft. super store is not far behind them. It is easy to navigate, has tons of merchandise, and the prices are great! It is not that far off from Wal-Mart prices when I use my eOffers, fuleperks, and foodperks and the shopping experience is unparalleled.

Very nice grocery store - it even has a high end feel to it. The store is always kept clean, even on busy days. Prepared foods, deli, meat/seafood, and the bakery always have extensive selections with knowledgeable staff. When they mess up a sale or misprice something, they fix it without giving the customer a hard time. This store puts the customer first and its just a very pleasant place to shop at.

well laid out GEagle, 24 ahrs!! they downsized an extremely diverse beer section to put in wine -1 (dont mind wine, but unless youre gonna put in liquor, Ill just go to the state store because now instead of one great beer selection there is a mediocre selection of beer and wine). parking lot is fine, but like the clientele its burbsy af. its a wonder the doors arent child proofed.

Typical Giant Eagle Market District store although slightly smaller than some others. They have excellent weekly sale prices on meats and other select items but others are market average or slightly higher than their competitors. Service is consistently good and the store is not nearly as crowded as the Fox Chapel store even during peak shopping hours.

One of the better managed giant eagle supermarkets. Maybe because it is a reasonably newer branch. However, anyone could tell by the prepared take-out packages of lunches and dinners as they are impeccably arranged and very clean! I had a brief encounter with one of the staff. It was a pleasantly, friendly, customer service, helpfulness!

Three stars achieved only for their beer selection. This is a decent place to grab some brews to try without having to buy a whole case or search for it on tap. Other than that, just about everything is overpriced except for a few good sales and fuel perks for buying gift cards. Go to a different place for groceries, youll save a ton.

This market district has a great selection of produce and a whole restaurant are with Starbucks and a bar area. Shop, eat, and drink in one stop. Also, occasionally, the bar books live entertainment from local artists. Great place to hangout.

This Giant Eagle has plenty of fresh foods. So many options and I love the diverse selection of foods. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The parking lot can be somewhat hard to navigate but otherwise a great place to shop.

I prefer driving to the near by market district but this one is closer. Very nice and clean store. Cellphone reception is bad. Self checkout is closed at night. Good selection. Redbox location outside.

Very clesn, way overpriced - they should wear a mask & carry a gun! The people at the deli counter are ignorant, except for Rose, Kathy, Alma, Berta - even the old coot is nasty.
