I called inquiring about a particular toy, was told they had several. Once I entered the store I thought I had wrong store. The lady behind the counter had less personality than a zombie. She sat with her back to counter while I searched every isle repeatedly with my 3 kids in tow. While talking to my children I explained I was searching for a certain toy then we could leave (they were anxious for next stop). At no time were we even acknowledged by the lady behind the counter. Eventually I left my kids to play at the train table to search AGAIN. When I did ask about the item, the response was a clip no. I mentioned that I had called about it and her response was that she had never heard of the item! I called again when I returned home only to be told YES THEY HAVE 7 OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!

Any business in the service industry is tested during the holiday season. I was able to see how well this place runs on the busiest of days. I came in the day before Christmas and the store was completely packed. The staff smoothly circulated helping others and myself find items and direct the line to the cashier. They also had a wrapping service for a small fee. The place was clean, inviting and excellent people on staff. I would recommend this store for anyone shopping for kids. It had a wide range of toys for all ages.

This shop always participates and sponsor child friendly events around Portland. Prices are a little high but the selection is excellently curated, especially for the small space. There is a play area in store and a small back room book area. I love coming here for last minute party gifts, especially since they can gift wrap it for free. A neighborhood gem.

I bought some great things for my nephew there a while back. I think it was a story book with a CD. And I like going to look for items for other peoples kids as well. I have a lot of little ones in my life right now. :) Its fun to browse, too. :) The staff is friendly, and knowledgeable.

An excellent place to buy last-second birthday party presents (for kids). The prices are higher than youll find online, but its nice to see/and/or play with the toys youre going to give. They will even wrap your gifts for you! (at least around the holidays)

Fantastic collection of toys you cant find at the big stores. We shop here for presents for our nieces and even buy fun stuff for our college-age daughters. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Love this shop.

Granted its pricey, but you should expect that, its in the Thorne. However, theres a great selection in this place. Id say its calico critter central. Staff is very friendly as well.
