We purchased an expensive three piece living room suit from Old Brick last summer. Within a few months, the furniture was starting to fall apart. The back of the love seat was coming loose. The stuffing on the armrests was sliding away making it very uncomfortable to rest your arm there. The stuffing in the seat backs moved so you could feel the metal bars protruding. We called Old Brick and it took about two weeks for them to come out to look at the furniture. We were told it would need to be repaired. That was in the middle of January. By the middle of April, we had heard nothing from anyone at Old Brick. Finally, my husband went to Old Brick to speak with the manager. He was told that the parts are still on order and that any concerns would need to be handled by customer care. He was told a customer care agent would call the next day. Three business days passed and my husband called Old Brick again. He spoke with another customer care agent and was told they would call us to schedule repairs by the beginning of May. As this is the end of April, I guess well see. Im not holding out much hope considering the cold shoulder weve received thus far . We are very disappointed in the quality of furniture we received from Old Brick. We have purchased from them many times over the last ten years and were always happy with the quality of furniture we received. My husband spoke with them about possibly just replacing the furniture since it started to fall apart almost immediately, but we were told they had to try and repair it first. As this will soon approach a year since we purchased the furniture, we wonder if the delay is to ensure that they will not have to replace anything should the repairs fail. I have always been a loyal customer of Old Brick and so I gave it two stars due to our positive experiences in the past. I am not sure why the quality of their product and of their customer service has diminished so dramatically. I hope they seriously consider improving how they handle customer issues soon or they will loose loyal customers like me. I am not sure I would purchase from them again considering the shoddy after purchase customer service weve received. It isnt enough to be nice before and during purchase, Old Brick. You need to follow through or lose customers to the plethora of competition.

Ok, let me preface this with saying I never leave reviews and would not ever go out of my way to maliciously hurt a company but this organization is extremely unprofessional. My wife and I purchased a sectional here for our new home in Niskayuna. We saw it in the store and it was comfortable and perfect for our family room. After said purchase the product was delivered, during delivery they scuffed our brand new hardwood floors which are darker, it was a giant line down the middle. This would cost thousands to repair but we are just getting started... After they delivered it we argued that setup should be the way I advised and when the delivery guys realized I was correct they took off quickly. After about 2 weeks my wife and I noticed that the chaise lounge was uncomfortable and not what we experienced in the store. We contacted old brick and they sent out someone to look, during his inspection we also found a GIANT nail sticking upwards in between cushions (we have two small kids) I showed him floor scuff and he said "sometimes that happens." Are you serious?!?!?! "Sometimes we destroy your floors, but right here!" The chaise lounge replacement did not fix the couch, it was in fact the back which was defective and verified. Now we are on with Rachel who stated we would get this taken care of. I mean, why wouldnt we get it taken care of, we are well within our 1 year warranty, the couch is faulty and we are the customer with an issue right? No. She stated a manager would call me. Two weeks later I had to drive to Rotterdam store in person to see a human being. He then tells me that a manager will call me next day. Fast forward almost 8 days later I show back up, same guy eating his words with nothing to say. As I sit in the parking lot, all I have is now a manager "will call" I wrote this godamn review as a matter of principle and so no one else gets screwed. God forrbid you got a bad piece, you are in for a nightmare. I should have stuck with Huck Finns or Taft...big mistake. Buyer Beware. ~Unhappy Customer

This past September my Fiance and I bought our first set of furniture from Old Brick Albany and have since been treated so badly and have had such a poor experience we wanted to save someone else shopping the strife. Long story short, our first couch came broken, they sent 4 people out to fix it who each said a different thing was wrong with it until finally I said I wanted an exchange (turns out the frame was completely broken). Now it is again broken and they refused to refund our money and their solution was a third couch with no guarantee that one wouldnt also be faulty or store credit. Furniture isnt interchangeable Sir. We sat on almost every couch in the county before we chose this particular piece to invest in. You cant expect us to invest our money in something we dont want when your product, which we did choose, turned out to be defective. If you get so few complaints, as you said, then perhaps when you do you should rectify the situation instead of saying it is just not your policy to refund. It is not my policy to spend 2000 dollars on junk but apparently I had to make an exception. You are what is wrong with America, taking advantage of hard working people who invest in your product just to have you flush their money down the toilet and, essentially, say "tough break". Had we not been moving out of state we would be suing and we would have won. Let this be a lesson to you and how you treat people. Shame on you.

Go into the store, the prices and variety are much better than is advertised on their website. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised. We were able to get a sectional, recliner, and full bedroom set for $3K including the 5 year protection plan. Our experience with the sales staff was good too. Just FYI, the plan covers all damage except for moving and pets, which the sales woman did make clear to us. We were also free to walk into the store and browse on our own at first, but the staff were readily available when we did have questions. Very friendly and helpful, not too high pressure. If I have a different experience when delivery day comes, I will update this review, but I expect it will be as good as the service we received in the store. **UPDATE** Delivery day has come and gone. First of all, we were able to go into the store a few days earlier and add on a couple more pieces to our order with no problem. The two delivery guys arrived on time and were efficient with the moving and set up. They were very professional and took special care not to damage any of the pieces, even the bulkiest section of couch that they were somehow able to fit through our narrow door. Friendly and polite too. My 5 star review still stands and I can honestly say I had a great buying experience from start to finish. I will gladly recommend this place from now on to anyone I know who needs furniture.
