These people think they are running a retail establishment and not actually selling old, used junk. It is evident in the fact that the store is always stuffed to the gills with unsold stuff, and they even have a POD thing to store even more. If they just reduced the prices to reflect what these things are really worth they would have more inventory flowing through the store. For instance, a beat up veneer dresser for $300? I tried to buy a car there. The price was apparently a secret, because nobody could tell me what it was. I picked up a piece of hardware marked $2 and brought it to the register and the lady there gave me a hard time because she thought it should cost more... "It would be lots more at the hardware store..." Well lady, this aint a hardware store.

The prices are rediculously high. These stores started out as a place to raise donated funds for the chapter houses. When they first opened it was geared toward those new homeowners who could not afford to furnish their homes. They are so overpriced that the place is stuffed with used and useless furniture. These greedy people have no clue, and do a major disservice to the local citizens..Their intentions are not supposed to be get as much as you can, and price it as new, but to bring in the DONATED items and move them out as fast as possible in order to make more and receive more. This store needs a major overhaul in administration. I stopped donating there.

Over the past several years I have donated a large amount of inventory to this cause both personally and on behalf of my clients. It seems they have now changed their policy to requiring photos of all the items prior to donation which is frankly unacceptable. It is simply too much to coordinate photos, wait on approval and then schedule a time to meet with the pick up trucks. I have always taken great joy in being able to donate items to a good cause and keep them out of the trash but now their policies are making that an impossibility. Does anyone have any recommendations on where quality items can be donated?

I have been going there for quite A few years and lately have seen quite a few changes, manly there prices have gone up considerably, you have to remember all that stuff is donated why should a used chair cost over a hundred dollars, do they need to get as much as possible ? How would a young couple afford anything there? I am not going to bother going there anymore and will definitely not donate anything.

I stop at this store when Im on my way out to Wal-Mart and Shop Rite. Every time there are new interesting items. Old quality furniture like my grandmother had and the people there are so happy and helpful. I like the store so much I started volunteering last Friday and its fun! Beth Mystic Island, NJ

We downsized our home and had furniture we wanted to donate. I called up and was told to send pictures of the items. Really???? I was going to donate a barely used sleeper sectional and a bedroom set. I found it insulting, was told thats what the manager wants. Other charities are out there.

I feel that they dont turn over items as fast as they should. I think they need more help. So many nice older ladies working hard to run a big place.
