My Son is in the Army and previous to this post was deployed to South Korea. My wife brought his Christmas presents to this store since they guaranteed delivery before Christmas. These packages were dropped off the first week of December. End result; Presents were delivered by the first week of February. So what happened?? UPS does not deliver to Military Bases over seas. The man behind the desk apparently knew that and did not disclose this information. UPS will deliver the packages to California for US Postal to put on a boat to then deliver to overseas bases. If we had only knew this beforehand. The Presents would have been brought to a USPO directly so they would have been placed on a Plane for a on time delivery. Yes it was the Asian Man and sadly he is rude and is miserable. "Do what you love and never work a in your life"

Really miserable place! I read other reviews and thought people were being too hard on them. I have only used them to drop off packages and envelopes that were prepaid. The people there were never pleasant but I did not think I was doing them any favors using them for a drop off site. Yesterday, I had to watch while the idiot behind the counter tried to fit a wheel chair in a box. It was too sad for words. I had my shipping label - but needed a UPS overnight envelope. I understand when they charge to tape and close boxes. But, they do not have any overnight envelopes - UPS provides them for FREE! But these clowns will only sell envelopes. I went to the Hackensack location the next day and they had plenty of envelopes. I dont know why these people are in business. They are unpleasant to everyone. Who would want to go there?!

My fiancée just went to this place to ship some books. She had packaged them in a FedEx box, but was told that she could not ship via UPS with a FedEx Box. He charged her $9.75 for a 24x18x6 box and a $3.50 for a packing fee. Ive shipped a tremendous amount of stuff via both FedEx and UPS with no issue interchanging boxes... I called UPS to confirm that you can infact ship with a FedEx box, as long as previous shipping labels are crossed out, or covered. I then called this UPS store and asked if I could ship with a FedEx box, and he initially said no, but then changed his mind and said if you cross out the FedEx part. This guy was clearly taking advantage of someone to make a buck. Look at all the other reviews... clearly this place is a sham.

I had a large box to get out of the car asked for help. He replied "Im by myself" I said "ok". There was no one in the store. So I struggled to get the box out of the car. While he was watching.Didnt think to hold the door for me. Know Im thinking what a horrible business person. I finally get it in( struggling with the box). Then he said"0h". Im thinking what now!. I cant except that box. Why?. It needs to be taped on the side. Ok? I dont have tape here. Im thinking. You are a shipping store right?. You have to take it home and tape and bring it back. I was so done at this point. I said Thank you and your a horrible business owner and walked out. RECOMMEND NO WAY

I shipped an urgent package second day air on July 22, 2010. The package was lost and was not delivered until July 30, 2010. I was told by John, the owner, that I would be refunded the entire shipping price of $525.63 within two weeks. It has now been more than a month (Sept 2) and I do not have the refund. I have repeatedly called the location, UPS, corporate, and the actual corporation that owns these franchised locations and no one has be able/willing to help me. I recommend you use another delivery service. The Maywood post office is across the street. Ill be giving them my shipping business going forward.

new owner is completely arrogant and unfriendly. I have been a box holder since its inception and will be leaving due to his rude attitude problem. i have spoken to him regarding my experience since his taking over and the relpy and attitude i received in return was less than appropriate. It is unfortunate because prior owners were very customer service oriented and wonderful-would have stayed no matter what the cost. remember it is our money that keeps your business afloat and there is a great deal of competition. go to another location where you are treated like a appreciated client at all times.

These people were no help at all. I brought in tires to be shipped, were bundled up together exactly the way they arrived when UPS dropped them off at my house...was told they cannot take them as is. Then I asked if they could help me carry them back to my car...they said no. Im a 55" skinny girl with no muscles. Thanks a lot Maywood UPS for nothing. Dont go here, customer service does not exist.

The slender, bald employee lacks complete customer service etiquette and professionalism. It appears to me that "the employee comes first," as opposed to the inverse. Ive visited the store several times since I live 8 city blocks away. The same person has the same attitude (I. E. rude), and doesnt have a clue on how to properly communicate. I took out this waste of time just to put him on the map

I have NEVER had good customer service or experience walking into the Maywood store. the person behind the desk is unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. I asked for an envelope, he made me buy a packet for $5. I go to Ridgewood or Oradell UPS stores and they give me envelopes for free and are nice about it. He deserves NO stars for his bad attitude & he should not be in this business.

I just left the ups store and the Asian man behind the counter was very very rude. I would advice that no one do business at this particular ups store. I have been to other ups stores and I have gotten very good service. I will go to another ups store where I know I will be treated right. I wont ever return to the ups store on 130 Pleasant ave in Maywood NJ.

Not sure why this location is rated so low. I use it regularly, and the gentleman at the counter is consistently polite, friendly, efficient and professional. Ive never had an issue with any package Ive ever shipped through this location. Excellent work!

I had an ok experience in the maywood store the one time I went there. But I did get that feeling they were not exactly customer friendly. I strongly recommend the Hackensack UPS store, I have a PO box there since it opened and they are AWESOME!!
