I have experienced what many customers have stated. I never had shopped at a Price Rite, but living just 3 blocks away I thought great-convenient and close. Unfortunately, I am not impressed at all. It always amazes me how some people have a 4-5 star rating and Im wondering if they really go to this store on a regular basis. I go there only as a convenience store, actually. I went back to doing the bulk of my grocery shopping at Market Basket-why? Because they are reliable. What Price Rite carries seems willy-nilly. Its a very limited range of products. They have an extremely limited pet food and products selection. The produce-well, if they have something thats really good price-I have been shocked at times seeing produce put out, and kept out for sale that a third world country would refuse. I went looking for pre-cut and peeled butternut squash. Everyone one of the 15 packages was slimy, and moldy with 4 past an expiration date. When I pointed it out to a worker, she said "Oh well. Not my job." The only items Ive had consistent luck with is potatoes. The bakery is very limited but at least the bread hasnt been stale-yet, and English muffin prices are very good. I, too, have had milk expire well before the printed expiration date but their greek yogurt is wonderful and I always buy it there. The service is very subpar. Floor workers are practically non-existent, and have been outright rude. Sp, I have a list of 10 items I purchase there that Ive had consistently good results with. Then I go to Market Basket for the rest. So Price Rite for me is a big convenience , where I go in, get my few reliable items and leave, a stop on my way to real shopping.Such a shame since I find the Elm St Market Basket parking is bad, its very noisy, and overrun with rude customers. So I travel the few extra miles and go to the Hooksett store, which is a real palace compared to Price Rite and Elm St. Happy shopping and good luck!

This store is great. Market Basket is the obvious competitor, but I cannot understand why people go there. Its ALWAYS packed and must be a nightmare on Sundays. Everytime i go there, Im bumping into people. Thats why I come to PriceRite. Not to mention the prices are often a third cheaper. Yea, theres fewer choices, but most people dont want or need some exact obscure brand. I think that limited selection makes things easier. What sucks is some times theyre out of stuff for awhile or never get it again. The staff is usually helpful and what they really need is a nighttime floor person to cover the main groceries area. Produce and meat usually have someone. I just cant understand why after a year and half, its often so empty. I remember people complaining about charging for the bags early on, but come on, grow up. Every bank and business gives those free reusable bags and every other store gives you a million bags. I have giant bags of bags because i always forget to bring my own or forget to tell them i have my own. Every five this place a shot, if only for the lack of crowd.

The store has low prices but the quality of the products is subpar and seem to have been sitting for a while. I bought a gallon of milk and it expires in five days! The generic Price Right products are mediocre at best and sub par compared to generic products at other supermarkets. The people that frequent the store are rude and not very nice. Just walking around the store I was yelled at by other customers and had random kids take things from my cart! Dont really think this is the stores fault but I never have that problem at other supermarkets in the city. For the money the Market Basket down the street has better prices, better variety and a nicer shopping experience. Oh and for some reason buying Coke products in the store is impossible. If I go back to this store it will be because all the other supermarkets in the city burned to the ground. Save yourself the hassle and shop at Market Basket, Shaws or any where else for that matter.

I went to this store to give it a try as it is just around the corner from my house, and I must say I will not be going back. Selection is limited, extremely small deli counter, and you have to provide your own bags (our family uses the grocery bags all the time),but thats not what killed it for me. It was the customer service. The cashier at the register made me feel as if I were a burden to have her ring me up! She kept looking at me as if she had better things to do. Ive been in customer service for over 25 years and Ive been grocery shopping just a bit longer than that, and Ive never experienced a cashier as miserable as she seemed to be. Ill continue to do my shopping elsewhere from now on.

fruit was very good, paid 1.50 for 3 lbs of very sweet Mc Cown apples, (made a yummy pie BTW) other produce looked very good with reasonable price. Small deli (but I don t buy that stuff). Tub of Whipped butter was $1.69 !!!! This is great price since it is now over 2 bucks in all other stores. So I got 3 of those. They have frozen items but limited selection only the more popular stuff their prices were good on what they had. I d go back especially where my apple pie was all eaten !!!! Think of it as an oversized convenience store!

It would be nice if they had more options and I try to never get produce from here. The quality is very poor. If its not already bad by the time you purchase it make sure you use it right away because by the next day it will definitely be bad. It makes no sense because their produce section is never stocked. The shelves are always bare or close to it so the only thing I can think of is they just let it sit in in back until it spoiles. I cant see them excepting rotten food on their delivery truck.

You are charged .10 cents per shopping bag so they can keep their prices low. I was impressed at the value when Price-Rite first came to Manchester. As with all things the time for that has passed. In comparrison to other stores and the overall quality and value of products. You can get the same deals at other places that have free bags.

For me, there really isnt anything not to like about this store. Obviously they cater a lot to the latino population but thats great, I love that food. I bought 10 pounds of rice for 3.99. Thats about 60-70 servings for me! I can always find a deal on cheese. The produce section is great with a good variety!

Just tried to call the Manchester store. They ask for your zip code. I entered every Manchester zip code. Automated voice told me every zip code was invalid!!! Never got through to the store. Not a good business practice. Local phone number would certainly help to make for good customer service.
