Overly Priced, Subpar Venue Rental. I recently rented out the upstairs of this store for a Going Away Party for my son whos entering our armed forces. From start to finish, this place was a massive disappointment. Extremely poor communication from venue managers. They made me feel like I was the last person on their important list. I was quoted one price, asked to pay another. I requested and put a deposit down on a specific date and time; then had to negotiate back to my previously requested date and time. It took venue managers DAYS to return telephone calls or emails after they received their deposit. Venue managers completely blew off appointments for a final walk through and action plan for day of requirements. The space itself is gorgeous; exposed beams, old wooden floors, squeaky stairs. But if youre expecting anything other than a business taking your money, be prepared to be severely disappointed. These folks need more time to iron out kinks, perhaps better communication with their customers and an actual event manager who understands the market and the needs of people renting their space.

Beautiful place. Used to be almost nothing more than a gas-station-like convenience store about 6 years ago, but the renovations and changes are fantastic. They make a great cup of coffee, and really know their way around the expresso machines. Most everything here is locally bought if possible, so its great to support local businesses and get quality at the same time. Just an overall good atmosphere that perfectly fits the town of Harvard.

Love going to the General Store. The Cheeseburger Royale is amazing. I had lunch there yesterday. The staff and owners are friendly and helpful. I use the General Store for get-togethers, meetings, convenience items, lunch, wine and beer. Always a pleasure to stop by!!!

Its ok. All nice and ritzy now that its under new ownership. However I preferred the old store we had when we were growing up in Harvard. The old general store was awesome with good prices, its now super expensive for pretty much anything you buy inside.

A wonderful general store serving yummy food, baked goods, and fantastic espresso. Frequented by locals, lovers of small towns, and locals. Also a great selection of local goods and sometimes fish and meat vendors who sell locally caught/raised proteins.

Wine. Beer breakfast served as well. Gifts and hostess gifts. There is a room you can rent upstairs for a gathering. A great place to relax with a sandwich on the town square. A genuine throwback...

Olde tyme general store serving breakfast and lunch with seating, and a good craft beer section. Also check out the bike shop (seperate) in the basement of the building.

Ok for a quick snack. Homemade baked good the best. Sandwiches and wraps not too substantial. Value of the made to order wraps and sandwiches average.

The prices are outrageous and I wish they had more "convenience" items rather than so many specialty items. Its a lovely place and everyone is nice.

A small, general store downstairs and a wonderful, open stage space upstairs which hosts some great gatherings. Good food but small menu.
