How Thorntons Inc. maintains a loyal customer base despite repetitively raping and pillaging them is a mystery. One would think their perpetual gas gouging alone would be enough to send customers running elsewhere, however in Louisville KY there *is* no elsewhere. What we need here is perhaps something like the Pennsylvania based Wawa store to smack the Thorntons beast between the eyes with a 2x4 as pleas from customers, friends and employees have fallen on deaf ears. Thorntons refuses to supply adequate manpower to their locations to at least service their customers without completely frying and abusing employees without threat of retribution, retaliation and exhaustion. Visit any given Thorntons around 5AM and you will see filth inside there akin to a rotting garbage dump with flies streaming out of every visible food and garbage receptacle - it is a disgrace. There have been no traffic studies to evaluate the poor if not lethal incoming/outgoing vehicles there with constant fatalities within their parking lots and immediate surrounding areas. Thorntons has no regard for the neighborhoods they land themselves in - my area alone we have 5 liquor retail establishments within a 1/4 mile of them yet Thorntons sees a need to further ply customers with more - it is a death trap here yet Thorntons has done nothing to address the safety issues within the perimeters of their own stores. Vehicle and pedestrian accidents are a daily occurrence yet Thorntons has done nothing to address this other than attempt to solicit help from local government and law enforcement to hide those statistics. Thorntons also has a 100% zero track record for permitting service dogs in their stores regardless of how many times they are given copies of Federal regulations educating them on their rights - they simply are above the law (at least in their own minds - and apparently in the minds of the Jefferson County Government as well). We do not forget these things - we will remember them well when a new, customer, health, budget and safety oriented convenience store/gas station comes to town and we will be behind them lock, stock and barrel. Thorntons is a death trap in every conceivable way.

I stopped at Thorntons today August 16,2016. with my son to see what the tobbaco promotion I had to go back to get my lighter and I was going to talk to the lady who was doing the promotion when Mellissa behind the counter yelled at me and told me I had to go to the back of the line and go to the register first when I told the lady doing the promotion she recognized that I had been there all ready so I could go through the process. Then when I said to the lady in charge of the promotion so I will not have to buy a pack before getting the discount and she said no then Mellissa Yells behind the counter to me again You don;t have to be that way or do that . I have never been yelled at and treated so rude at any other gas station I have gone to . And I do go to thorntons but not anymore . I have a disability and will not be treated when it is not provoked or neccessary. I have contacted there corporate office so we will see what is done about this matter if anything.

Hello, today I visited Thorntons to get gas. I am a regular customer here, and often go out of my way to find a Thorntons. However, after this last visit, I will not return. I pulled in to get gas and everything was business as usual, until the nozzle over flowed and kept running all down the side of my car, and onto my shoes and pants. Nearly half a gallon of fuel pumped out and would have continued, had I not disabled it. This typically wouldnt have angered me as much, but I am at work and now the shoes and pants that I am wearing are doused in gasoline. I have to wear the clothes for the remainder of my twelve hour shift. I am not pleased with my overall experience, and as I stated earlier, I will no longer be a patron to any Thorntons store.
