had a handgun transferred from Indiana to borderline. When I went to the shop to fill out my background information I had to wait for almost two minutes while the two employees finish their conversation in order to be verbally acknowledged. I was visually acknowledged by both of them when I walked in and as I walked to the counter. I felt very uncomfortable and like my business was not wanted. When I returned to pick up my firearm there was a different male employee and the same female employee working. There were two other people in the building on the computers filling out applications and no other customers. Again I had to wait more than a minute 4 the ongoing conversation to come to a completion. While my information was being looked up by the female the mail started the conversation up again by taking his phone over and showing the female employee a picture of someone he had been talking about from his high school reunion. This stopped her from working as she looked at the picture proceeded to comment on the picture. Two exchanges followed before she began to look up the information again. After about 20 minutes I received my firearm. If I could find another place close by in which I could get the same bang for my bucks, I would not return to this place of unprofessional business. If I refer borderline to anyone it will be because of the free pickup of firearms from Cabelas and because it is a Will County Business and the Cook County tax does not have to be paid. However along with my referral I will let my experiences be known so that I dont send other friends or acquaintances to this place to feel mistreated as they leave. I tend not to believe a lot of what is said in negative post about businesses however in this situation I found the post about not feeling welcome unprofessionalism and to a degree racism to be extremely accurate. I only wish I had looked at reviews before deciding to have my gun transferred to this shop.

Customer service is mediocre. I purchased a firearm from Cabelas and had it sent to this location last year and did not have any issues. I waited my time came performed my background check and was on my way. This year I purchase a firearm same exact way and when I go to pick up and do background Im told there is a new law that I have to way an additional 72 hours which conveniently passed in June. I have not heard of any such law nor can I find it. If someone can show me where I can find this law then fine. They should at least call their customers to let them know the new changes and set expectations so there is less of a wait period. My 72 hours just got doubled so now I have to make a third trip out big inconvenience. Im never sending my business here again rather pay money to have it shipped elsewhere.

The pricing of the inventory is very reasonable. The location is great for Chicagoland. However I did not receive great service. I felt bad after leaving. There was one man working and I understand that can be overwhelming, but I clearly was in line ahead of the five people that walked in behind and process was started the day prior. I was not greeted upon entry as the other customers were and every one else was told that they would be serviced soon. The store was emptied with the exception of one man doing his background check. Note: all of the customers that were cleared out before us two were white and we are black. I am very disappointed and I hope this isnt a race issue.

Have been coming here since the store opened. Always felt welcome and treated nicely by owner mike. But lately. Every time I go there the employee working there. Matt i believe his name is. Is extremely rude and acts like he hates his job. He was even ranting to me how much he hates his boss. This was extremely unprofessional to me. They lost me as a customer. Maybe Ill come back if Mike hires new counter guys.

I like others had a bad experience here. The blonde hair girl ignored me too, she is a real red-ass. She acted as if she was pissed that I interrupted her from her desktop. She answered my questions with an angry combative undertone. Never again.
