This is the largest market for groceries that I have seen since living in Rogers Park. One thing that is difficult in some of the Chicago grocery stores is finding the diversity. There are many common cooking and baking items in this market that you cant get unless you are taking a trip to a Walmart food section. The diversification of supplies for preparing foods is what puts this market out on top. The prices are not stelar, but they are average. I would go here if you are looking for a larger selection of typical groceries. There is a good selection of local wines as well which is located conveniently close to their cheeses. The bakery to the front of the store is also very cheap and has a great many types of rolls, croissants, and danishes.

This is not necessarily a place you want to buy your dry goods, since they are a bit more expensive for those things. However, the meat and produce sections are the shining star of this grocery. Produce is high quality and super affordable. Now that I think of it, the money you save on produce almost makes up for the high priced dry grocery section. I can seriously spend about 20 bucks on fruits and veggies a week and fill up my fridge and pantry to a ridiculous level. Definitely buy your produce and meat here.

Devon Market, in fact is Desi market meant to fulfil the day-to-day glossary, vegetables and other items need of both residents from the Indian and Pakistan community. Stuff available here is better than in India and always lot of varieties are available. Lot of desi food restaurants are available many of them said to be Indian but not all are. Food quality in these restaurants are just ok and price too is not that reasonable. At least those who visit Chicago, must visit at least once.

Its a love/kinda-annoyed relationship with me & Devon Market. I love how its literally across the street from me but annoyed that sometimes the produce isnt as fresh as other places. I love the variety of foods & products they have but annoyed how the quality is inconsistent. I love supporting my local stores but annoyed about how I can sometimes get better elsewhere. Its a mixed bag for me & Devon Market but in the end I still shop there, mostly out of convenience.

This store is wonderful.. I have been living in edgewater for about a year and most of my groceries are done in this store..... Great meat and fresh fruits... Cant ask more than that.... and the price, affordable............. The new Aldi on broadway & Granville might bring a little competition but Devon market is still on top.... P.S.: The hot french baguette ...marvellous!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget about the chain markets, Devon Market is a great neighborhood place for groceries and produce. The produce is cheap, and always good quality, much better than the bigger places. The deli is also excellent- I have had top notch Manchego cheese here. It may look a little rough around the edges, but its well worth the trip.

Great prices! The produce and meat sections were great. They had a nice variety of most products, including wine and spirits. Some aisles were narrow and this was more noticeable given how busy it was, yet I never felt uncomfortable or rushed. The checkout staff were friendly and did a good job on a busy day.

Great prices and selection of meat and produce. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh. They carry a broad range of groceries for many ethnic cooking dishes. I always shop here for my foods and in my household we cook filipino, Indian, and Puerto Rican dishes. Always fresh here and great hours.

What a great city market!! Reminds me of a place my Pap pap used to take me in Beaver Falls. This place has nostalgia bit plenty of things you could need or want. Pretty solid produce selection, fresh meats and even sushi. Cant wait to get back to the city top go here again.

Large (for a neighborhood market) and a great place for ethnic alcohol and food. Staff is mostly friendly, but can be crowded and a bit dirty at times (but what do you expect from a neighborhood market?) Just dont use the restrooms in this place, theyre .... Pretty nasty.

(My ;)) store is fantastic! Employees are wonderful people with beautiful attitudes. The small negative (personally) with this place, I asked if the item, Louisiana gumbo base could be aquired, but as of yet no product, no call back, terrible bummer to say the least.

The produce here is definitely some of the best quality in the area and is pretty well priced. Their baked goods are also really good. Other than that though packaged groceries are sort of expensive and you could definitely get cheaper stuff at other stores.

Its a your typical cute little neighborhood grocery store, but with added bonuses not seen often in a store this size, like good quality homemade sushi and a juice bar. Great variety of meats, international foods and alcohol too. Open until 10 every day!

I shop at Devon Market regularly. The staff are friendly and they meet my needs for produce, dairy, etc. My only complaint is that there have been times that the items advertised in their weekly ads are missing or come in later than the date stated :(

Crowded, aesthetically and organizationally challenged, but one of the few places available to buy large quantities of royal basmati rice and dry beans in Rogers Park at low cost. Good place to purchase whole foods without whole food prices.

Between here and Aldi I get everything I need for cheap. Aldi for cereal and other dry goods, Devon market for fresh produce, deli, freshly baked bread reminiscent of home, and an awesome selection of European chocolate

A great alternative to Dominicks. Fresh produce, meat and fish. A large selection of a variety of specialty foods and ingredients. Not the best for organic seekers, but a great local grocery store.

Whenever I buy fresh produce here it goes bad within a day or two. Even fresh fruit that is in season doesnt taste fresh or in season. They do have a pretty wide selection of ethnic foods though.

I have been shopping here since 2008, great selection , always well stocked. Love their home made bread . Lasts longer than any other bread I bought before. They have cheap and fresh food.
