Notice that my car was burning oil excessively, only to find out that there was a recall for oil consumption on my vehicle. Took my car into World Toyota, they perform an oil consumption test that came back confirming that the car was indeed burning oil. I was told that the engine had to be rebuilt at no cost to me. On the day that I took my car in to have the oil consumption test initiated, the service advisor came back with a laundry list of items that needed to be fixed on my car. One of those items I was told was my water pump and that I needed a new water pump which would run me over $500. I told him I could not afford it then. Received a call last week stating that the part they were waiting on to do the engine rebuilt and this is after me calling and calling about bringing the car in to have it done finally got that call took the car and was put into a rental. Although the service advisor knew I would need a rental car because my car had to be kept for a few days, no rental was ready for me and when I did get into a rental it was filthy, it was filthy inside it was filthy on the outside. It seemed the car was never clean from the last person who drove it. I called to trade out and get a different car and was told there was no rental available so I made do with it. Got a call from the service advisor asking about the water pump and if I wanted them to go ahead and replace the water pump while the engine was out of the car, I told him no. When the car was ready and I went to pick the car up, just as I drove off of the world Toyota lot with the my car the check engine light came on. I turn right back around and drove right back into World Toyota and let them know what was going on. I was put back into the filter rental and I left my car. Was called the next day by the service advisor letting me know that I needed a new sensor, that the reason for the check engine light coming on was due to the sense. They told me it was the speed sensor. Now the only reason I took my car to them was for burning oil excessively, when I asked who needs to fix that I was told they would only charge me for the part and they wouldnt charge me for labor. It will run me over $200. well lets just say that got me really hot under the collar and I went to got my car. Today which is April 26th I took my car to Stonecrest Toyota and what they found was that what World Toyota did was, not plug the speed sensor all the way in on my car leading to the check engine light being on and then asking me for over $200. for them to fix something that did not need to be fixed. I have called and asked to speak to a manager have yet to receive a call back from the manager. when I did call on the day that I pick my car up to speak to a manager one of the other service advisors got on the phone pretending to be a manager. I had actually had the water pump replaced on my car in 2015, so it was a brand new water pump. World Toyota try to get me toupee for a new water pump and a new speed sensor which my car did not need. People please beware of world Toyota of Georgia!!

*** Update: World Toyota has addressed my concerns and has worked with me to make me happy.*** I brought my Scion tC World Toyota to have warranty work done on my engine and was very upset with the service I received. Although World Toyota is not the closest Toyota dealership to my house I chose them because of the good reviews they had on Google and because it’s where I purchased my car. Everything went smoothly until it was time for me to pick up my car. The first time I was called and told that everything was ready to go I drove all the way down from Marietta to pick up my car and before I even left the parking lot I started having problems. I returned my car to the service department and informed my service advisor that the brakes were acting strange and the ABS light had come on. I asked him if they had taken it for a test drive and he assured me they did. He told me they would check it out and fix whatever was wrong. Before I left I made sure to write down the mileage for reference. The next day I received a call from my service advisor stating that the problem had been fixed and I could return once again from Marietta to pick up my car. I asked the advisor what had happened and he told me they must have forgotten a pin when reattaching the axle causing the antilock brakes to malfunction. This frightened me. I also asked the advisor if the car had been test driven this time and he, once again, assured me it had. I checked the mileage and it was exactly the same as when I had dropped it off. I brought this to his attention and he was speechless. I told him that I did not feel comfortable taking the car home and he promised me that everything would be fine and told me that I have a 1 year warranty so there are no worries. I decided to take my car home in hopes that everything would be ok. When I arrived at home I took another look at the engine and noticed a random part was just sitting in the engine compartment. I then contacted the manager and explained the situation and the problems I have had. He told me to bring the car back down to the shop and they would have the master tech look at it and see where the part needed to go and also check the entire engine over to make sure that nothing was wrong. After the Memorial Day weekend my service advisor called me and told me everything was ready to go. I came to pick it up and met with the manager, Daniel, who went through everything with me. I accepted the car and took it home. My experience with World Toyota service department was very frustrating. I do not feel like that is the type of service you should expect when going to a Toyota dealership. Due to all of the problems I was having I had to cancel my vacation to Florida for Memorial Day. Also, one out of the three rental cars I was given had no air conditioning. I will never have my car serviced here again and do not recommend it to anyone else.

Wanted to share my EXCELLENT service experience at World Toyota and their Staff that the my wallet can afford! I have a Lexus RX that is not under warranty anymore. I got an estimate from the Lexus deal to perform the 90K service. Usually I don’t keep my cars that long, but this one I did. My spouse and I debated whether to sell it or trade the vehicle. Clearly it was too much money to put into a vehicle that was nearing 7 years of age, especially if we were going to get rid of it. So we did some brain storming, she said that over all the car looks good and still drives great so why don’t you check with some other shops that are not dealers. Well that did not make me feel better that a “non-certified” person was going to work on this vehicle…it under mines your level of confidence. Well since the Lexus is a Toyota product and uses most of the same parts, I decided to call Chris Brown to get his honest opinion…he put an estimate together and gave me a rough estimate…and said just come in and see me. So the next day I did just that. I arrived in the service area and of course my service advisor…Mr. Popularity/Celebrity (Map Mouth) had his many fans lined up for his assistance…but greeted me promptly. Of course since Chris and his team work like a well oiled machine…he gave Map the heads up he had everything ready to go…I was in and out in a Jiffy. Here comes the best part, he followed up with me before COB as promised to let me know if the car needed anything else. Map put many of my concerns to rest by answering many questions and told me that the car would be ready by mid morning the next day. So I told him that I had some meeting in the AM and I would see him around lunch time. The next day 8:46 AM he called to tell me to let me know that the car was ready! Again expect for the “autograph” line my paper work was ready and I was ready to go. Wow how is that for service…prompt. Before I got into my car Daniel made sure that I had a good experience and satisfied before I walked out that door! This is the first time I did not have to play phone tag with a service advisor, he prompt with his communication and I walked out with satisfied and with a big smile. I will be bringing not only my Toyota but my Lexus for service as well. Chris whatever service philosophy you have indoctrinated your staff with…keep it up and spread it like a contagious disease… Thank You Chris, Map and Daniel for the excellent service and a VERY reasonable price!! I have encouraged my friends and family to give you a chance to WOW them the same way as you did with me!
