LISTEN UP...THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST MGMT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I LOVE THRIFTING AND I STOPPED BY YESTERDAY AFTER CHURCH TO CHECK OUT AN ITEM I SAW ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE....the owners are RUDE AND SPEAK TO THEIR CUSTOMERS AS IF THEY ARE GIVING THE ITEMS AWAY! I WAS INTERESTED IN PURCHASING AN ITEM AND THE WOMAN SHOUTED AT ME...YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT WITH YOU! I tried to explain that I had called a delivery man and was waiting on his return call...so, I proceeded to browse while waiting for his call...he did call and I was making arrangements for him to pick up the item when I spotted an item for over $300 that I was also interested in...the first item was $65...while browsing some more I noticed an item with a SOLD tag on it, but it was still sitting on the floor...I went to ask the owner (female) I noticed this item on the floor and with a SOLD ticket...she shouted at me that that persons item was over $300...I questioned it and she told me that that was their policy...I was puzzled but she was shouting at me so I asked her why she was speaking to me that way when I was only asking a question...She stated this is MY STORE and I can do whatever I want. Then she went upstairs and got her husband...I thought to myself, well maybe he will be able to speak to me in a more respectful and courteous way...The only thing about it...I was WRONG...he was just as RUDE as she was! They proceeded to ask me to leave and took my basket with my purchases in it stating that they would not allow me to purchase anything...All because I stood up for myself and asked why they treated their customers so nasty! People donate items to this place they do not purchase anything and they act as if they are giving it away or doing customers a FAVOR...DO NOT DONATE ANYTHING TO THIS PLACE....they have messed with the wrong LADY. MY GOAL IS TO PUT THIS TO AN END...WHILE I WAS THERE...A customer with a small child was in there and the child was crying...SHE (OWNER) YELLED..."get that baby out of here" "THIS IS MY STORE AND I DO NOT WANT THAT IN HERE!!~ AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, AWFUL PEOPLE...AND FINALLY while exiting the store a lady overheard the way that MAN(OWNER WAS SHOUTING AT ME AND She asked, why do you have to speak to her that way? I stated to him "you are talking to me like I am the dirt underneath your sneakers and He replied, "I WISH!" Well this is not the end of ME...

Many of you have probably heard me rant plenty about Step Up Atlantas (and the worlds) best thrift store, but for those who havent, listen up. This is the best thrift store ever! Ive gotten tons of my furniture, beds, fixtures, fabric rolls, camping equipment, lighting, washers, dryers, appliances all for INCREDIBLY CHEAP. Its also a super nice easy place to donate your great stuff that you dont have room for (just drop it off). All their stuff is in constant flux, so if you see nothing on one day, come back in a day or two and you might just find a $2000 motorized adjustable desk for $15 (as i just did!) They dont deliver stuff, but are SUPER HELPFUL (though they have the hardened character of running the best thrift store in town). They will call up all their buddies, and if one is available to help with his or her truck, they will help you deliver stuff, carry into your apartment, and you can support these random guys with just a couple bucks! They also will give out good contacts for buying artisan renewed washers and dryers or even vehicles. Everynow and then, some weird store closes or something and they will have a surplus of stuff that they will sell for UNREASONABLY CHEAP (last year i bought tons of huge mint-condition projector screens for 99cents each!)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I will never recommend this organization. They came to pick up furniture donation. They broke the furniture and left it at my house saying they would come back the next day with a 3rd person to take the furniture and fix the damage that they did. I had to call the next day when they didnt contact me and was told they couldnt come out and would come Monday. I then had to follow up on Monday when no one called me. Then I was told they werent coming out at all, not to move the furniture out of the way(it was blocking access to the room because they moved it slightly the 1st time), not to fix the damage they caused, and not to take the furniture with them. So they broke my furniture, wont come and get it and because its now broken, no one else will accept it either. For the record, I had given the dimensions and sent photos ahead of time so that they knew exactly the size of the item and could make sure they had what was needed to move it. Paul, the person who does the scheduling would not give me any information on how to contact anyone else at the company to discuss the situation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Go through the Salvation Army or Furniture Bank or basically ANYONE else.

Ive been going to this thrift store on my lunch break for several years. It is in a slightly shifty part of town and there are always "bums" creeping around. Be sure to lock your car and hide your stuff. The building is dirty, hot, and dark. The staff is less than stellar. BUT...I love this thrift store. This thrift store moves through furniture multiple times a day! I have found true gems of vintage furniture.. I wouldnt bother with the clothes but you should definitely head downstairs. Dig through the junk to find an excellent book selection (turns over frequently), housewares, vintage kitchen items, and treasures in the luggage department (external frame backpacks, train cases, tapestry bags). Deals are always offered. White tag items for 99 cents, half off furniture, books for a quarter. Examples of finds: 1976 French Provincial Style Desk/Hutch with working light. ($24.99) 1970s French Provincial 6 drawer lingerie dresser. ($40.99) Vintage Pyrex Mixing Bowl with Turquoise Pattern. ($0.99) 1967 Hardback copy of "The Complete Adventures of the Borrowers". ($0.25) Large 4 white wooden shelf. Solid construction. Stylish. ($0.99)

I absolutely love this thrift store. They always have the best prices and items! Awesome place to find used furniture and other household items. They have great deals on all types of furniture - couches, tables, chairs, rugs, etc. Make sure to visit their "Lavender Room" where all items are 50% off. Agreed with another guide who wrote about being ready to take home the items that day. They are not very keen on holding thing for you. Understandable though - since they have so many new items coming in on a regular basis. This thrift store recently relocated to Cheshire Bridge - and I am happy they did! Now they have even more space than before and the parking area is now easily accessible. They also support a great cause and community.

Most horrendous experience ever with a charity. Waited a week for a pickup of over 50 bags and boxes of goods****including 15 bags of high end womens clothing. They said they take everything except furniture. Their delivery driver arrived... Looked casually and said they were not interested. He did not ask what was in the boxes and bags nor did he look for any longer than 3 minutes. Upon calling the boss they informed me to call another charity. This place is horrible and turns away nice items. What charity turns away items that are nice???? And the attitude was elitist and dismissive. Do not support this charity as they appear to not have their mission as the priority nor their donors.
