The doughnuts here are awful. They taste like cheap, oily county fair funnel cakes. I once had a vanilla iced doughnut which should be called white sugar icing doughnut. No vanilla was harmed in its making thats for certain. Also, the stupid, over-fried things fall apart in my hands. Definitely hard to eat neatly so beware. This is likely one of those places that relies on location rather than quality to stay in business. Worst doughnuts I have ever had that didnt come from a grocery store box. I could not bring myself to finish eating my order. Would not eat here again. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 however. Thats because the service was fast despite long lines, the interior was clean and modern, and the tables all had usb and power outlets for charging. A pity the doughnuts were so epically bad.

Pretty cool place, and unique in Athens. You choose your icing(s), then choose your topping(s) and they custom make your donut for you. The donuts are freshly made right in front of you, behind the counter. Everyone was friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. Its very clean inside. Each table has a pop up power outlet so you can juice up your phone or come in and work on your term paper while you enjoy your coffee. Speaking of coffee, they have hot and iced coffee. For their iced coffee, they freeze cubes of coffee instead of water, which I thought was awesome as your coffee doesnt get watered down. Overall, this is a pretty cool place, and my fiancé and I will definitely be coming back.

The ordering system was a little confusing for my first visit. There are cards up front where you write your selection for your donut of choice, but if you are just ordering a drink (which is what I was there for) you actually talk to the person behind the counter. After the momentary confusion, however, the drink was AMAZING. I loved the atmosphere, the fact that I could see them prepping the donuts, and the display case for some of their best sellers. It was also the only place open late at the time, and I needed access to a midnight cup of joe! I will definitely visit again.

There may be other places like this out there but I dont know them or havent been there yet. Donuts made to order = super fresh, crispy cake donuts. No dryness. But the frosting stays on, not all melted. I had the chocolate donut with coffee icing, no toppings. So good. Coffee also punches above its weight. Really great ice coffee, with coffee ice cubes. Not cold brew but still very smooth. I have been to lots of specialty donut places but this one occupies a space all on its own. Worth the visit if you are coming from Atlanta (or anyplace else), as it is pretty special.

Easily the best cake donuts in the southeast. Great glazes, wonderful and fun toppings, and made freshly while you wait. Even better, they are a socially responsible business and donate a portion of their sales to a customer selected charity each month. Customers are given wooden coins to deposit into one of three boxes representing 3 different charities. The box with the most wooden coins is the charity Zombie will donate to that month. So go get yourself a dozen (I recommend the lemon glazed) and feel good about where youve spent your money!

I have come here a number of times. The donuts arent "amazing", but they are fairly good. They have a good ice coffee. The inside allows for many plug in for charging your device it plugging a laptop. I believe the hours may change during the school year, but I took a pic of the current posted hours. There are a couple of places for outdoor seating, but on weekends during school, a line to the next door bar, makes sitting outside like torture.

This review is fur the coffee only. The coffee not bad it just wasnt that good compared to other places )IE. The orange cup place just a book away). That said, I dont think project come here for the coffee. Im guessing its the doughnuts. They looked good, were just not doughnut people. If I ate then if probably try one here. Also, the restroom was really gross. And whats with a bowl and a urinal in the same room! Guess whats not happening here!!

Doughnuts are to die for. They arent your usual doughnuts, theyre like miniature cakes. There are so many coating and toppings to chose from. Each doughtnut hand made to order by hand right in front of you. The place can be a little disorganized: utensils are at the beginning of the line and the doughtnut order forms are towards the end. For $1.49 a doughtnut, I think it is very well worth it if you are looking a small, delicious treat.

I dont know what it is but these donuts are so good!! I cant get enough! I do wish that the order forms were a little easier to understand... maybe the owner should get a graphic designer to make a clearer one? I ate here 3 times before realizing that the order form had a top part for choosing menu donuts and a bottom part for customizing. It needs to be better graphically so the customer immediately understands the process.

I saw the vampire inspired donut on Instagram and knew I had to get my kids some for a Halloween treat tonight!! I got myself a lemon coconut donut and maaaaaannnnn......I didnt expect such a warm, yummy, FRESH tasting cake donut! It is heavy but light compared to other cake like donuts. The kids devoured 1/2 of them within minutes of getting home! lol Needless to say....they want to go back for more!

Quick self service was nice but the "dark roast" was see-through except for the very center of the cup. Mcdonalds makes a better cup of black coffee. Go to zombie if youre just going to pump it full of sugar and flavor shots because the coffee itself is awful and not even worth the $2 I paid. Ive not tried the pastries so maybe thats why people go here.

Was hoping this can be my new go-to study spot. However it can get VERY loud in here because this is apparently more of a social hub than your average coffee shop. Its so loud its like a flea market. Also feels really hot inside especially during an average summer day. Good coffee and donuts if you get it to-go. Employees are friendly as well.

Donuts are really delicious and made with your choice of coatings and toppings on the spot! Zombie is also definitely a major proponent for service to the Athens community as well as support of other noble global causes with monthly donations. Support Tony and his team of Zombies!!!

LOVE these doughnuts! It is so much fun to create your own little masterpiece of deliciousness. They melt in your mouth and remind me of funnel cakes. They are very reasonable priced too and donate proceeds towards a locate charity each month- and you get to help pick which one!

A relaxing spot with a cool, clean aesthetic. Donuts are good with a lot of custom options to satisfy anyone. They are super heavy, so I couldnt imagine eating more than one. I skipped the coffee, but it just seems like regular drip and espresso from an automated machine.

Great service, nice place to chill out. I do wish that the donuts were a little less thick and cake-like...theyre super rich and very hard to finish. I really do love this place, but the donuts are more like desserts than they are a quick breakfast treat.
