I visited this location on January 14th while visiting the University of West FL and stopped by to purchase a birthday gift for a friend that I was traveling with. I bought the gift and several books and in total spent around $70. I received great customer service while in the store and during checkout. The problem I have comes from a promotion that the store was offering at checkout. The cashier asked if I would like to get a free trial for three magazines. I said, "no." The cashier stated that it was free and that I would not have to give any credit card information and handed me a paper that asked for my address and allowed me to select three magazines from the list. I filled it out and selected three. I noticed the magazines arrive by mail and never opened them. They were mostly placed into recycling. By May I notice 3 separate charges for the magazines totaling over $60. Apparently Books-A-Million was passing on the credit card information to a third party that sells subscriptions to various magazines (for more than the cost of subscriptions bought directly from the publisher). They passed on the credit card information on Jan. 16th. Im sure this was in the fine print, but the signup process was misleading and the magazine service is difficult to deal with for issuing refunds and canceling the subscriptions.

Twice now (on two totally seperate occasions with different staff working), I was told they did not have the book I was looking for and ultimately had to find it myself. The employees would glance through the section and say "we dont have it". I would ask them to look in the computer and it would say the book was in stock but they would reply with "it must be on the truck or something"- this is the response I received two separate occasions with two different employees. Both books I was looking for werent exactly "popular" books so when they said " someone may have purchased it right before you came in" seemed odd, possible but not likely. So, both times, I put in more than a 5 second glance and found the books on my own. It would be one thing if either employee ever put in any effort- but they didnt. And the store was dead, as usual, so its not like they couldnt help. I usually dont complain about customer service, but that was kind of ridiculous. I went there because it was next to my husbands gym, but I will be back to being a Barnes & Noble customer exclusively.

the two girls at the registers were incredibly kind and willing to help look up a book, no questions asked! However, their coworker, and elder woman with short grey hair, was INCREDIBLY RUDE. Not only did she speak to us like we were wasting her time, but she ignored everything we said and claimed that "the website doesnt tell you whats in store", despite it clearly saying otherwise! She also turned around and mistreated a woman and her pregnant daughter saying they need to "put those chairs back where they got them" when they had never moved them anyway. I was so angered by her bad attitude that I apologized to the women for her and told her to just forget it. If I ever see her again I will avoid her at all costs.

When you get to the register & they shove the free magazines down your throat its very annoying.. Especial after a month when you see theyre not really free & you have $110 in charges being pulled off your card for magazines you havent even received.. Not to mention the rude staff. Will be shopping else where.

Coffee and serice is great and the childrens section seems larger than B&N. More electrical outlets and more seating options than B&N. But, the wifi was almost unsuable even for email. B&N was much faster.

One of my favorite places to be. I love their board game and toy selection!!! Probably one of the best book stores in Pensacola. The only thing I dont like is they push you to buy their items at the café.

Ultra friendly cafe staff, I wrote the majority of my masters thesis here. Cafe has plugs all over. Wifi can be iffy if theres lots of people. Store had loads of great bonds and nerdy games/toys.

Needed help finding the books I wanted. The young lady that helped us exceeded our expectations. The young man that checked us out was very personable. A very pleasant experience!

What a massive location, in comparison to their other stores. At the time of my visit, my cashier was friendly and, especially, expedient in checking out my purchase.

I think I prefer Barnes and Nobles layout, but they have a good selection and average pricing. They have a coffee shop in the store that is decent.

Plenty of main stream books....I wish they carried more books in the subject interest of New Thought, and alternative lifestyles.

I can find most all my books and the customer service is rather cheerful. The store layout is easy to navigate.

This bookstore has a good selection, especially for history, and the staff are friendly as well.

Online price is a bait and switch to get you into the store. Prices online are not honored.
