Everytime I go into this Walmart I have a horrible experience. First off, the bathrooms are DISGUSTING!!! Also, during halloween I wanted to buy a costume. Well I am PREGNANT, so I wanted to try it on before I bought it, realizing my stomach cannot fit in most clothes I normally wear. I went to the fitting room area and the lady said I couldnt take it into the fitting rooms. Okay, that was fine with me. So, i took the costume out of the package right in plain view of everyone - customers, employees, and cameras. I mean people do that with all kinds of merchandise to see what they are buying to make sure it really is what they want, right? WELL, I AM NO thief, I am pregnant and just holding the shirt up to make sure what I buy fits. The fitting room lady gave me horrible looks and threatened to call manager because I was taking the costume out to see if it would fit. She was extremely rude and called a CODE to the manager. Another instance, I had my 2 year old daughter with me and my fiance was in the cigarette line waiting to check out, he realized the cigarettes were cheaper there, it would be convenient to buy a pack there. The lady refused to sell them to him because I didnt have an ID on me. I wasnt the one buying them, I dont smoke, never have bought them, I had my two year old daughter in my arms, I was trying to get my purchases together, I had my hands full, and I am pregnant for christ sake! I felt offended this lady refused a sale TO MY FIANCE (not me) because I didnt have an ID and HE DID!!!!!!! The last time I checked, the state law prohibited THE SALE TO MINORS. - I was not the one BUYING them. AND - even IF I was a "minor" I could still smoke them, as long as I was not the one PURCHASING them. There is no law prohibiting minors of smoking. SO in this case why was I the one asked for the identification? And thankfully the last time I went to this location which will stay my last, we drove from home which is thirty minutes away JUST to save a few dollars because Walmart used to price match other competitors prices and "BOGOs." I spent an hour writing out my list at home but that didnt matter - when I went to check out the lady said I could not get ANY of the BOGOs because the way they price match changed. Supposedly, the way Winn-Dixie has their ads set up, made it to where if their ad says, "SAVE UP TO ... [some amount]" Then they could not match BOGOs. I was not about to put everything back, so I ended up spending way more money than I intended, I was never informed at ANY Walmart about such changes, AND AGAIN the lady was extremely rude about it. I was told months before this happened, that the reason why Walmart price matched and even BOGO matched, was so customers would shop at WALMART instead of going to their competitors. Well, I must say I will never be back to this location EVER AGAIN. I will go out of the way and to the next city if I have to just to avoid this place. I feel sorry for the next customers that they piss off or disgust. Only IF I get some sort of apology and the correct information concerning the price matching will I consider coming back, otherwise, Im going the other direction and heading to Target in Gainseville. To think of it, I needed a credit card too, guess I am signing up with Targets credit card instead!!!

The Vision Center at Walmarts Lake City, FL Supercenter saved our Disney World vacation. While driving from Michigan, my grandsons contact lenses (from Americas Best) began to severely irritate his eyes. A Google search done en route identified the Lake City Walmart as the closest location for us to secure professional optical services. Once there, the Vision Center optometrist called the AB store in Royal Oak, MI to get a copy of the prescription. AB said that, unfortunately, the prescription had expired. It seemed to us that nothing could be done. My grandson has no eye glasses. He relies entirely on his contact lenses, of which he then had only the one unusable pair. We all felt terrible, knowing that he couldnt enjoy Disney World if his vision were impaired. The optometrist then asked us to excuse her, as she would be back with us in a minute. Upon her return she told us that she had consulted with the Vision Center manager. He had decided that we should be given a set of contacts. She explained that AB (as the dispenser of the prescription) had refused to allow them to sell us a "trial pair" of lenses. The Vision Center, however, she said, believes that to deny us the lenses would not be in keeping with the practice of good medicine, nor would it be suitable customer service. As such, while they could not sell us the contact lenses, they could provide them to us free-of-charge. Five minutes later we were on our way. We left the store feeling great about our experience and pleasantly surprised that Walmart had proved to be so helpful. The Vision Center staff went well beyond "customer friendly" in what they did. We will always be grateful for their sincerity in caring about our family and our vacation.

Whats not to like about this place. Theres so many things that are offered here, its like a one stop everything place to shop. You can even do layaways, theres am Auto center for mechanical stuff and purchase new tires and have them mounted an they offer replacement warranties an sell car an truck batteries along with motorcycle an lawn mowers. And you can call and order meats for holidays or special times. Theres an eyeglass center an nail salon and a few other things. The customer service center seems to be lacking at returns never enough employees there to man the registers. But overall good attitudes and friendly. I do see a lot of there employees on there personal cell phones during there work hours thou. They need to have two bends for the $5.00 videos so you can put the ones you already looked thru in the other bend as when your trying to review them theres no place to put them. What bugs me most in front of there store they always have people trying to ask for money for there organizations. And there pushy to. Hey I dont mind girl scouts cookies or local school for there band or school activities. But for drug addiction or church stuff thats not at all right. This country gives you a choice of your religious choices an that can cause issues with tourist that drive by an stop here from I-10 .. Plus the object is to go in the store an out after.. Not making it congested. Theres lots of homeless people hanging out an begging for cash.. That can be dangerous... Overall view great...

This store needs a serious adjustment. Friday night August 21 at approximately 8 pm. Out of 30 some registers I think there were maybe 5 open. The self checkout line was blocking the wide aisle that goes thru from one side of the store to the other. If was very difficult to get to one of the few registers that were open. I approached a person wearing a tie named Justin I think was his name and asked him if he could see the traffic jam of people and carts. He said as he gestured, I have people coming! As I stood there several minutes passed and no call over the PA for trained cashiers. After about 5 minutes the call went out for help. I had 5 items and had my elderly parents with me who had to utilize one of the benches at the front of the store. I would think Friday night is a busy night and foresight would tell a manager to have staff ready at a moments notice. This is far from the first time the wait time has been horrible at this location. I am VERY dissapointed that you people care so little for your customers. I am glad the store in my town is not like this one!!!
