Today I went to Post Haste Pharmacy, "your trusted neighborhood pharmacy for over 35 years" to get ant-acids to help relieve the nightmare of heartburn symptoms that I have been experiencing from pregnancy. Last night I learned that Maalox was not safe to take while pregnant as it contains aluminum and bismuth subsalicylate, which have adverse affects on an animal fetus. I looked at a few bottles and it was not clear to me which active ingredients were pregnancy safe so I asked the gentleman at the counter (Steve). He was very nice and helped me look though the various brands and when he saw that one of the "all natural" ant-acids said it was not pregnancy safe on the package he went to ask the Pharmacist for more expert advise. Steve asked the Pharmacist ( Robert (Bob) Fishman ) and Bob laughed at him. Bob said, "any ant-acid that is safe to take when youre not pregnant is safe to take when you are pregnant." Steve shared the information about how Maalox is not safe and then Robert Fishman repeated himself and said, "Any ant-acid is okay to take. Tums. Rolaids. Maalox." Robert Fishman asked Steve if I was pregnant now and Steve said that I was. What Robert said next was as far out of line as one could possibly be. Robert said "If she has a miscarriage then she should call her Doctor." Even if he thought I was not in audible reach, why would someone say something like that? Im a big believer of everyone being entitled to their own opinions, however as a professional Pharmacist this surely violates several ethic codes and possibly even his license. I spoke to the pharmacy supervisor and he was very nice and helpful with the situation. I even got a phone call and voice mail from Fishman himself saying that he was talking to "her" about a previous patient and not referring to me. However, he was not speaking to a female (nor facing a female when he said this) and I think he may have fabricated a tale for the supervisor and myself so as to remove himself from any negative aspects of the situation. The best part was that he concluded his voice message with, "We cant recommend medicines or ant-acids for pregnant women." Seeing as he is the director of Medication Therapy Management Inc., founder of Post Haste Pharmacy, has The Robert Fishman Institute which "trains physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and scientists from all over the country", graduated from Colombia University, has a P.H.D., is a Registered Pharmacist, and C.C.N. (Certified Clinical Nutritionist) I would think that he would know that aluminum and bismuth subsalicylate are not pregnancy safe ingredients or at least recommend that I call my Doctor at least prior to having a miscarriage.

WORST PHARMACY EVER!!!!! THIS PHARMACIST SHOULD BE FIRED, LOSE HIS LICENSE AND BE CONDEMNED TO A LIFE OF HORRIBLE PAIN! Do NOT go HERE, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! I took in my legitamate prescription to get filled as my regular pharmacy was out. Gave the PHARMACIST my script. He asked me what other meds I take, told him. He said, "Well you havent had these in awhile and YOU LOOK FINE TO ME" "IM NOT GOING TO FILL IT"!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! DID HE REALLY JUST SAY THAT TO ME?!!!?!?! "You look fine to me"?!?!?! Yes, he did, the PHARMACIST has DECIDED I DONT REALLY NEED MY MEDICINE because I LOOK fine!?!? Well, great! Good for you, HOW many years of school did it take you to learn how to GLANCE at someone and surmise their diseases, problems, surgeries and NEED for MEDICATION??? Impressive that you are able to sum up a 47 year old womans problems in a 45 second glance/encounter. Thank God YOU THINK I LOOK FINE.. SHAME ON YOU, I have never met someone disgraceful, remiss, arrogant, unworthy, derelict, negligent and disgusting in my life. YOU are a PHARMACIST. My DOCTOR of eleven years wrote the script because I in fact am NOT FINE. You, of course couldnt even be bothered to ask me OR CALL the DOCTOR who gave me my VALID prescription. You just get to decide in the 45 seconds you see my face I dont NEED/GET my MEDICATION. Please be assured I have filed all applicable complaints to all approriate boards in Florida. You have NO BUSINESS being a pharmacist, you clearly have a God complex AND PROBLEMS WITH AUTHORITY AND TAKING INSTRUCTION! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! So, sorry you cant SEE my MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS!!! So sorry you didnt even BOTHER to ask why he didnt see in the database this script for a few months since I was OUT OF STATE and had them filled THERE!!! God help anyone else who goes in here truly needing their legitimate script, if they are in pain and this is the only place around, or they can get to.

I was stuck using this place because my area didnt have many options when it came to compound pharmacies. This pharmacies biggest downfall is their lack of communication. I tried hard to make this pharmacy work for me. I would call them 4-5 days before I needed my prescription filled so they would have enough time to prepare it. In the end no one was willing to except responsibility, they just kept passing the blame on each other when the orders werent filled or ready on time. I also tried delivery that was even worse. They would tell me they would deliver it and not show up. So I would have to go the following morning and wait to pick it up. I tried telling them this treatment was unacceptable and we would just go back and forth. They treated me like I was a troublesome customer instead of doing their job. Im 100% sure I gave them attitude the last few times I used the pharmacy. I was out of patience and I reached my limit. How many times can someone pass the buck? I didnt like feeling mad at people, when all I wanted was medicine for my sick dog. Obvioisly my sick dog wasnt a priority to them but he is a priority to me, so I found another pharmacy that is Pet friendly, appreciates my business, is less expensive and knows how to have an order ready when they promise it.

Dont bother trying to get prescription filled there. I tried calling in a refill and it took 2 weeks to get it, then they sent it not mixed together (in three separate vials) so I called and they told me to bring it in and they would have a replacement ready for me. I drove all the way from Miami to get it, since it needed to be compounded, and guess what, not only did they not have it ready, they didnt even have a pharmicist on site that was able to make it. Then they couldnt get the computer to print out the directions to put the prescription together, so they sent me home and told me I would get it on Monday. Crossing fingers but not holding my breath. Never going back there again!!!! Oh, and I spoke directly with the owner, Robert Fishman, and all he did was give me his cell phone number if I had any other issues. If he couldnt resolve my issues while I was there, how the heck is he going to resolve them over the phone?????? UGH!!! Please avoid this pharmacy at all costs!!!
