The service I received was extremely offensive. My family and I visited Whereabouts Cafe on several different occasions. I have a young daughter (17 months) and my daughter accompanied me each visit. However today, the owner of the cafe decided to kick my family and I out from his restaurant. My daughter was laughing and playing while sitting in her highchair. My daughter has an infectious laugh. Let me be clear, my daughter wasnt crying, nor was she yelling or misbehaving. She was laughing. Im completely disturbed by the response we were given. The young overly zealous waiter nervously relayed a message from his manager requesting that we leave. Seconds later, a middle aged woman limped out from the kitchen and reinforced the message while simultaneously removing the plates from our table. Whereabouts cafe obviously has specific prejudices relating to what "type" of customers theyre interested in serving. The most appalling aspect is that my family and I left without exchanging any words or creating a scene because we uphold a high level of decorum and dignity, therefore creating a scene would only add to the ignorance we received from the staff. Instead we exited quietly and decided to contact the manager by phone. I guess Whereabouts Cafes horrendous customer service isnt limited to the cafe, its also evident that they do not care about specific "types" of customers over the phone. The manger essentially confirmed that he indeed kicked my family and I out of his cafe because of "that little girl", referring to my daughter. He was dismissive and attacking and he did not apologize for our experience. There was absolutely no empathy, no compassion and most importantly no hospitality. I am going to share this experience with everyone I know, and although he may feel like his goal was accomplished, he will grow to understand that we are all human beings, and we are endowed with basic rights and equal treatment, and we should not feel ostracized or disposable because of our race, gender or the volume of your babys angelic laughter. I do not reccomend Whereabouts Cafe.

I didnt have a positive experience at the café. I struggled with writing a review after watching a waiter kick out a family. Later during my dining experience I over heard it was due to the little girl (she had to be under 2) making too much noise. However, no one in the café complained, there were only two other tables filled. It was so sad how on the same day they had a moment of silence for the officer getting shot; an act that showed so much compassion then lead to such discrimination against an little baby who was laughing and talking. They were rude didnt even give the party a chance to finish eating their food. To watch it made me sick. There was no remorse, no customer satisfaction, nothing humane, nothing loving, about kicking a parent out due to a baby making noise. All I could think about is what if a child had special needs and couldnt help their outbursts, would that family be kicked out too? Whereabout Café was so thoughtless and unprofessional. I could never recommend this place to anyone. I will never go back because no one deserves the treatment that family received.

Im sure this place is good place to eat or have a cup of coffee, but I was not impressed with the management that I talked to on the phone. Book signings are great and can really bring in traffic, but when I talked to the manager (Im assuming thats who it was), she asked me three times, "Why would she want to have the book signing HERE?" That isnt a great way to impress people with your shop. After I explained that my company takes care of the advertising and the author will be inviting lots of people, she continued to (quite rudely and arrogantly) go on about how shes a local and knows the place better than anyone and that her shop isnt where people come to for that. Thats the other point of having book signings; its not just for the author--its for the venue too, to get them more customers and tell people about it. Too bad for you.

Me and a friend got sick from this place a while ago, never went back. My mom has a small group she meets up with once a week there to talk about God and then they pray at the end and leave. Each one of them always purchase something when they go but now theyve been told that they cant meet up there because their praying is bothering other people. That is discrimination, and it is absolutely ridiculous, These women only go in once a week, they always purchase something which means they have just as much right to be there as anyone else. Well they just lost a group of loyal customers and my respect. If you would like to go to this establishment to get sick or discriminated against go for it but I dont support them. and if it was up to me I wouldnt give them any stars.

I was completely dissatisfied with my treatment at whereabout cafe I was invited to the cafe by my realtor as she was conducting business with clients and her waiter asked us to leave while we were still eating. We were told by the manager that he told the waiter to get "rid of us" because the one year old baby was making too much noise when she was laughing and he wanted us out of his cafe. The manager was nasty, rude, condescending, cold and disrespectful he said he didnt care whether we came back or not. Horrible experience the management is horrid. Whereabout cafe is not child friendly!

This place is amazing. I tend to work overnight as a first responder, and this place opens up around the time I end my 12 hours. I always come here for a well brewed latte, and one of their Rue sandwiches (bagel and lox). Everything is always perfect. It can be a bit of a wait in the morning, but that is expected, since the small venue tends to have plenty of people flocking to it. You cant fault them for some of the growing pains of a small business. Theyre doing very well, I just hope once they grow out, they keep their fantastic quality, and friendly environment! Keep it up, guys.

I used to come here often, but the past 4 years has been a steady downturn for this coffee house. The decline of intelligence in the staff and an increase in prices for menu items continues to frustrate me. Twice I have been incorrectly charged for my order. Why do I keep going back? Because it is the only game in town. The girls behind the counter insist on giving customers a number...even when there are only 3 people in the place. The "decor" is fine but I preferred this cafe when it had a cozy couch and more room at the bar.

Great coffee and atmosphere, and good breakfast selections, though they need to work on making a few items more vegan-friendly. "all frozen drinks have whipped cream." Why? "All breakfast sandwiches come with egg." Why? My sandwich had artichokes, portabella, and roasted red bell, and avocado would have done just fine instead of egg. Also, get some almond milk in there, and kick up the espresso bar to the next level.

Quaint little Parisian style café where you can order freshly made bagels and many other breakfast items. They have a decent selection of bagels and cream cheeses, as well as custom made breakfast sandwiches. I ordered a Snickers latte that was initially delicious, but then overwhelmingly sweet halfway through; would order a smaller size next time. Free Wifi.
