Ive been going to Ski and Sport for the past 5+ years, and cant say enough good things about Gio (the owner) and his staff. Weve been super happy with all the equipment hes sold to us -- from intermediate gear when we were just getting back into skiing, to more advanced and expert gear that weve now grown into. At every stage, Gio recommended the right equipment for us, not necessarily the most expensive. And most importantly, the service is unbelievable. Case in point: we were heading out west last winter and one of the bolts in the spine of my ski boot must have fallen out while skiing the weekend before. I noticed it the afternoon before we flew out, and ran down to Gio to see if he had a spare bolt. He said no problem, then headed back to his shop. From the register, I saw him take a bolt out of his own personal ski boot and put it in mine! I could tell another few stories, but the point is you will not be disappointed shopping here.

Say what you want, but the staff seems to be passionate about what they are doing, and genuinely want to see people in the proper gear for what they are doing. For example, I bought ski boots and the owner bent over backwards to make sure I would be comfortable on the slopes, even offered to take the boots back after I skied in them and replace them with another pair if they were not comfortable. They have competitive pricing when it comes to other places and even online. I have recieved money back on skis I purchased and later found cheaper online when I got home. All I had to do was provide proof it was available for less elsewhere. Most definitely NOT a one star business.

I am astounded by the personal service I have received over the years at Ridgefield S&S. Darlene and Gio always welcome me by name, and honestly Im not a skiier so Im not in there that much! Great story - one day I went into the shop and was looking at a summer dress, the same I had bought 2 years prior but in a new color and pattern. I didnt know the sales girl, and she did call other stores to see if they had one in my size. Well, about a week later I received a call from Darlene, saying that she thought it may have been me who came in looking for the dress, and she found it. I was amazed! Thats some service.

the guy is correct, way too expensive and snippy, during a huge sale I offered a price on an item, expecting the sales lady to come back with an offer....well, she GRABBED the item out of my hand and handed it to another person and said put this back on the rack. She is a fool, I live close by and buy a lot of sports equipment/clothes. I will NEVER go there again.

I have been visiting the Redding/Ridgefield area regularly for over 3 years and I knew no one here to keep my bikes running. This shop has been wonderful! They are knowledgeable, honest, affordable and NICE!! They have given me wonderful advice on local bike trails and have made my biking time here possible. Thank you Ski and Sport!

Great family run operation, knowledgeable for ski, bike, all your outdoor needs. Gio one of the owners is one of the nicest guys you will come across, goes above and beyond to service you. You come across problems they stand behind what they sell. Bikes, Skis, rentals repairs Ive used them for everything.

Very rude and unprofessional staff. Rented skis for several years till they changed their policies. Will never shop there ever again. Not customer friendly when there is lots of competition in the surrounding area.
