If you are searching for some unique/ special items or some high quality/high class items, then you are in the right place. Other than that, you will find out that most regular stuff here are Over priced , there are other fine grocery stores and markets in Uriah for shopping regular high quality items, I dont know why people come here? the only 2 category with fair price, are the milk section, and the bulk item dispenser, (beans, flour, coffee). Conclusion: if you are doing general grocery shopping, you can save more at other places. This is the place you search for some special or high class items.

This is one of the oases when traveling on 101. The selection is very good and the people are helpful as well as friendly. Yes, the prices are high but not compared to Whole Foods and the selection here has much more organics that those other kinds of "organic" food stores. I do wish they had a bigger fresh food selection but what they have is sufficient. I am in my mid 60s and always treated nicely even though Im not a "hippie" although I was one in the 1960s when people really knew what they were!!

Every time I go to a natural food store in another town, Im reminded how great Ukiah Natural Foods is. The produce is all organic and labeled so you know where it came from. Often you can choose to buy "grown in Mendo" produce! They have a variety of goods that rivals major supermarket chains only the selection of products is based on the healthiest options available. And they have health related classes too.

The Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op is a natural foods store, and is the only one of its kind in Ukiah. It has a good selection of bulk foods and other natural food products. However, the prices are higher than your regular grocery store, most likely due to the quality of the products. The staff is always eager to assist you in any way. It may be a bit crowded at times, but its definitely worth it.

The words I like to use to describe the Ukiah Co-op would be All-Star Fantastic!! it is by far one of the best natural food stores in the country. They have everything you need for a healthy diet and all the organic produce to give you energy throughout the day. I Live 60 miles away and I still shop there because I know how important it is.

When Ive ever walked in I swear, these people take one look at me, realize Im not a hippy and they all try their best to be rude. So as far as customer service goes, they get a hands down on that one. Not to mention that upon entrance, youre bombarded by the thick smell of incense of every kind, immediate headache. I stay away.

For health food this place cant be beat. Fantastic selection of wholegrain.... stuff and produce. That said, be warned. Co op is populated by stinky weirdos and crazy post menopausal weomen who have no regard for the hurry your in. Be prepared to be stuck behind shoppers who have nothing better to do but chat with each other.

If youre looking for healthy food, the co-op is your main option and a good one. Some local produce, and a good sized produce dept in general. Be prepared to spend more on dinner ingredients than you you usually would. Good bulk options- rice, granola, tea, beans, spices ect. Home and beauty products that I tend to trust.

Great staff and a good selection for the size. There process are competitive and regularly beat prices at big brand grocers, especially on sale items. They have a large number of bulk items and have always been happy with the freshness. They have a salad bar and drink bar as well.

Co-op stores are worth supporting. The Ukiah co-op raised the bar and improved their store by adding a salad bar and their staff are friendly. They also refrigerate mac nuts, pine nuts, and hemp seeds, etc. which prevents spoilage and is something most other grocers dont do.

Great, friendly staff, yummy coffee and smoothies, and delicious, fresh salad bar. Food isnt cheap, but prices on items like candles are notably cheaper than in Sonoma County. Nice selection of stuff. They have all the varieties of my preferred brand of bar soap.

A fantastic place! To those that are judging and criticizing and making fun of the other shoppers...and if youre in such a hurry- maybe go to another store...people go to health food stores to not hurry, to chill, and relax while they shop...

Pros: Sells mostly healthy foods and products. Cons: Way overpriced, even higher than Whole Foods. Overcrowded. Dangerous to walk around building due to immediate heavy vehicle traffic. A Trader Joes would be far better.

This co-op is great for meeting new, great people and buying organics. However, I was running Avast! Home Edition and it showed a Trojan Horse virus was on the website, so I aborted the connection.

Nice co-op grocery. I wish it was bigger. Staff is friendly and helpful. I wish they could get better seasonal fruit. Like all the other groceries in Ukiah the fruit is bland and lacks flavor.

I dont look like a hippie, either, but the staff is always very friendly and polite to me. Ukiah is a very small city. For a city the size of Ukiah, the Ukiah Natural Foods Coop is spectacular.

Expensive but worth the high quality products. Love love love the salad bar. This place is like a small Whole Foods. Membership is not necessary and a bit of an expenses with out many returns.

Just god home from shopping at Ukiah Natural Foods Co-op and opened the sprouted grain bagel bag and the bagels were covered in green mold. Had to throw the whole bag out.

A bit expensive and the aisles could be wider but overall a good place for quality foods. Although there arent many options in Ukiah.
