Mike + his team of artists do great work They know when to say No, and tell you their opinion, which Is a valuable skill when you put something on you body like a tattoo Overall they provide a great atmosphere to compliment their overall great work. Ive had a lot of work from Mike and am continually stunned by its "Everlasting" beauty. I would respect any tattoo artist who would refuse to do a cover-up. I got some Laser removal done on some rather atrocious work on my back, and it sucked, but the resulting work over it is great (though terribly painful). The thing that makes --at least from my experience--Mikes work stand above the rest is his uncanny ability to know what the work will look like after it has healed, and his ability to leave space in between the ink to make it stand out, not to mention his great eye for color. It seems that everyone is getting tattooed these days, and, frankly it can become a little hackneyed (the breadth of poor work out there). It is refreshing to know that there are some skilled artists out there like Mike & his team.

Disappointed. My mom and I wanted to get tattoos while we were in California. The shop was recommended to us by people back home. Sounded friendly over the phone. Once there, they did not seem that friendly. We waited for a bit, and my mom was tattooed first. Hers turned out pretty good! I was excited to get mine. I showed the artist a few references and made it clear what I wanted. Its as if he didnt listen at all. Does not look even relatively close to what I wanted. Nor does it look all that good in my opinion. When it was time to pay the "minimum shop charge" was exorbitant. I have several other tattoos, I get that we are in San Fransisco but for the tattoo done, especially considering its not even what I wanted, I found the "minimum" to be outrageous. Im going to have to get my usual tattooer to fix this... wouldnt go back. OH! And additionally just looked at my bank statement and saw they charged us twice. So $400 for two tattoos less than 2 sq in. They told us $100 a piece for a total of $200 (still ridiculous). Will be calling tomorrow to complain!

I flew in from the east coast and got a tattoo the next day by Luke Francis. Luke was very professional and extremely talented. The tat came out better than I hoped for....5 stars for Luke and his abilities. All of the folks in the shop did seem polite, but it does very much have an air of strictly business and there does seem to be a bit on tension amongst the artists...it was a little weird. Maybe this is a west coast or San Fran thing, but charging by the hour for regular sized tattoos is new to me and I have quite a few tats and at $180.00 an hour I found myself in a bit of a panic watching the clock the whole time. Tattoos on a regular scale should be quoted when you make your appointment so you have an idea how much to bring. Bottom line fanatastic work, weird vibe, damn expensive...but worth it

I ended up at Everlasting after hearing some great feedback from some tattooed friends, it also happened to be very close to my house. I was in need of an artist willing to undertake a coverup of a phoenix I wasnt happy with. After my initial consultation, David (who doesnt some great featherwork) agreed to take on the project. I love the work hes done and am so glad I found this shop. I highly recommend it to anyone. The guys are super professional and a lot of fun. You wont regret stopping by.

Good artists good work.. a little pricey but whatever... the bad thing was the bad attitude that a lot of the guys had.. i felt like i was in some tattoo frat house... crazy bums strolled in and customers who called or came in and then left were ALWAYS made fun of and treated in conversation like morons... it made me wonder what they thought of me on the phone... so its all about business at this place.. the will do a good job but dont expect them to genuinly care....

Not only is the owner Mike an incredible artist, but he takes amazing care of his customers. A few days after getting a tattoo on my ankle I was worried it was hurting too much and contacted him. He called me right back to ask for details and reassured me everything was OK (which it was). A week later he e-mailed me to check how I was doing. Unexpected and really awesome! Thank you!

I came here to get a tattoo the day I turned 18 and have never been so happy! I had a design in mind, the artist drew it out (beautifully, I might add) and that was that. Getting the tattoo went by quickly, he was really nice, and the whole place had a very comfortable and friendly vibe. I would definitely recommend coming here. I know I will be again.

Back in the day, Everlasting artist Troy Denning created an awesome 10 hour piece for me. It held up so well that after moving back to SF 18 years later, I returned to these guys for more. Thanks Luke Francis for another great piece.
