Id seen information about this place and when discount vouchers were available on LivingSocial, I jumped. With the first voucher, we tried the truffles and they just didnt do it for us. We are non-drinkers, so having nearly every truffle be alcohol-based is a huge disappointment (there are so many other wonderful flavors that they could make). The two times that non-alcohol inspired truffles have been on the list, weve tried them, to further disappointment. The jalapeno ones just werent very good (and at $4 per truffle, they really should be) and the blackberry were gross. The seeds hadnt been strained prior to the ganache being made, so the texture was really bad. I expect a truffle to be a smooth, decadent delight and blackberry seeds absolutely do not qualify. On the flip side, the cheesecakes are lovely, the employees are friendly, and the way that they the package up your purchases is really cute. And, the piece de resistance is definitely the purely sinful chocolate-dipped caramels. It was a huge disappointment when they started limiting the caramels to one per discount voucher. They were our favorite thing to get.

Everything about this little shoppe, tucked away on a back street in the village of Pt Loma, says..."Elegantly crafted truffle!". The owner, Jennifer Muratore, hails from a long line of candy makers. She is totally knowledgable about chocolate making and boasts that her chocolate dipped carmel truffle was the creation of her great, great grandmother dating back from 1847. She owns her original hand written recipe and the copper pot she used to make them! This "little piece of heaven", dark chocolate caramel truffle is my personal favorite by far but there are many close seconds! My husband and I cant say enough words in praise for the amazing, unusual and totally delicious experience that awaits the chocolate lover when you step inside the door! Be warned...her carefully crafted truffles becomes totally addicting!

I decided to visit this little shop on a complete whim, and I was lucky to find parking right out front in a small parking lot. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly welcome and asked if I would like to try some samples. (Yes, please!) The four offerings I tried were the coconut cream cake, the OMG chocolate cake, the carrot cake, and the caramel. All delicious! There were also other sweets available, such as angel food cake, biscotti, brownies (with nuts), and of course truffles. I managed to limit myself to purchasing a chunk of dark chocolate covered caramel, and I will definitely be back in the future.

This is the best chocolate ANYTHING in town! She is trained in Europe and it shows; there is no one else doing what Jennifer does in San Diego! From her OMG chocolate cake to her lemon ricotta cookies with lemoncello icing to her salted caramels and everything she does its five stars. It is clear that she earned her Zagat rating! If you have not tasted any of her desserts, stop in as she will let you sample your way through her kitchen! Oh, and do not miss her iced coffee or a shot of espresso! Delicioso!

From the signature champagne truffle, to the Oh My Gosh cake, to the decadant brownies, to the lighter angel food cakes in a variety of flavors - everything is delicious. The truffles come in classy little gift boxes and would make a very nice wedding or party favor. The owner, Jennifer, loves chocolate and wants customers to enjoy every moment in her shop. My favorites there are the brownies and the signature espresso angel food cake with dark chocolate ganache.

You must come here if you love pastries. They treat you las if you were royalty and let you sample just about everything. Their omg cake is superbly delicious along with everything else. Im also a huge fan or their caramel and their lemon basil cookies. Everything is fresh and locally sourced. Enough said just come and have a piece of paradise.

Not only are the sweets the most decadent I have ever had but the owner and staff is awesome! My personal favorite is "The Evil One" and my husband is all about the Angel food cake selection and my daughter loves the salted caramel. Bring your sweet tooth, you wont be disappointed.

The Elegant Truffle is full of mouth watering deliciousness. It is hard to pick a favorite, the caramel, ohmygod cake, and chocolate covered strawberries are a must try. Beautiful location, great service and excellent chocolate...a must try!

Wonderful staff that took their time in helping me pick the perfect dessert option for my wife. Made sure my son who was with me got his sweet fix too. Their carrot cake is possibly my wife and Is new favorite dessert. Highly Recommend.

We lived in San Diego a few years and loved the wonderful Angel food cake slices. We will be down after the first of the year and can hardly wait to drop in. Wonder which days are the coconut?
