You will never find a more knowledgeable group of people . we have been a part of this community since 1969 years .. We actually had stores all over Alabama and Mississippi . We are family owned and operated . we keep it small and simple yet we have hundreds of natural herbs and combinations. We have the largest variety of loose herbs in Alabama. Golden Temple and employees are our friends good place for convenience.. Health Foods West on the other hand has more combined knowledge than any place u you could ever visit. Three generations work there daily we no longer have outside employees.. We are here to listen. help, learn and have a place you can come study and enjoy what life has to offer ... Everyone stay blessed . one out of a million customers in 32 years is not that bad. we have seen and helped grandmothers , mothers ,fathers , and now their children . we eat . sleep and live out of the knowledge and wisdom that sets Health Foods West apart from most places. This was my first and last time visiting the store. The lady answering the phone wasted my time and gas AND she was completely unprofessional. I called and asked about an herb and the lady said they had it. I drove to the store and she tells me and the employee assisting me that it was on the wall. We look and dont see it. The lady walked over and looked but she couldnt find it either. After I expressed frustration the lady lied and said that during our phone conversation she didnt say that she definitely had the herb. Other stores, like Golden Temple, actually take the time to check for an item when a customer calls. I was hoping to be able to patronize a store on my side of town but not with this poor service. Hopefully this lady, she was short with curly dirty-blonde hair, doesnt own the store and maybe management can provide her more training or replace her (Really wish Id asked her name but oh well). Either way, beware.

My hubby and I were treated with excellent customer service at Health Foods West. This was my second time visiting this store. I was with a family member the first time and didnt have much interaction with the employees. Todays visit was for something to aid in digestion. We were educated on three products and also received written information to take home. We enjoyed todays visit and definitely will be back. The supplement purchased was priced very reasonable. Keep up the awesome work guys!!!
